after seeing all of the AAA games today, noone will hold a candle to central
-
those of you that attended all 3 games of the 2nd session on thursday i'd like your opinion... some of you may totally disagree w/ me and that's cool, but coming from a fan that was just there to watch, no team to root for, i thought that this session was possibly the worst ever as far as sloppy games. granted 1 of the 3 was close but they were terrible games to watch. i feel that 3 or 4 of the AA teams could've rolled over 5 out of the 6 AAA teams today... terrible decision to make the trip to that session
-
i say livingston by atleast 15... it is a shame that livingston and central had to play each other... either team would have rolled over westview or elizabethton... now i am going to say that livingston is going to prove my point agaist westview
-
the question should be will they ever play in a close game?? its getting ridiculous

Another East TN vote!

He is a great kid! He wants to follow in his fathers footsteps and become a minister.
that he is... he also has the chance to do some big things w/ baseball

I think Central has a great chance at going all the way. They got a lot of talent returning to the team this year and the group of seniors this year are hungry for that state. GO CHARGERS
this has been said for central's team for the past two years as well... hopefully they'll be able to get over the hump this year, or just not run into goodpasture once again
-
he signed at lee university... not sure how much of an athletic scholarship he got. his dad is the campus pastor so he will go for free
-
-
oh yeah harper is very tough in both aspects
-
but the difference w/ central is they are all seniors
-
walker valley will be down a little bit this season losing eskew, hindman, brown, and i'm sure i left a few players out
-
Best in the state... no sir .... they gotta win that sub-state game 1st ...
as long as they dont run in to goodpasture AGAIN its a good possibility
-
Your not God... you cant guarentee anything. why does everybody think central is so good and that they might be the best team in the state?
never said i was God? well my "guarentee" lol nice spelling... is more of a confident prediction... never said they will be anywhere close to being the best team in the state... but they have absolutely no competition in the district... mcginnis will be the only person that might keep the game close in the district

Rowland is their only player huh??? They have a major league arm anchoring a pitching rotation that is pretty solid. Yes they lost players from last years team but none of which really mattered. With Rowland, McKinney and Crabtree in the middle of the lineup, and the Malone kid that has developed into a pretty solid player, this team I believe will not lose a district game.
i can GUARANTEE you they will not win every district game... good luck in the district w/o mcginnis on the mound... especially against central and polk
so what are the thoughts about the polk and central matchup.
always a fun atmosphere... but central will sweep w/ ease
-
so why is the sequoyah fanatic not talking on this forum?? but yeah, i see the standings being central, polk, meigs in that order. and maybe throw boyd in there cause i have no idea how they look this year... central will dominate every single district game. especially if they can get aderhold back to 100%... polk vs meigs will probably the most entertaining series of the whole season for this district... both teams are very young w/ young talent... but i think polk will beat them
-
meigs has won the district twice out of the last three years.
they did... but they dropped off and will remain down again this season. when they lost roberts they went down hill. now they've lost rayl and meadows... not looking good except for rowland this season
-
I sure hope you and everyone else keeps thinking that way. The cheifs have a GREAT young coach and a team that is hungry for success!! Keep up the hard work chiefs! Much improved! Go Cheifs!
dont get me wrong, they do have a wonderful coach that i know very well... but his team is pitiful! they will NEVER stand a chance in 5AA... cause after central drops off AFTER THIS YEAR its either meigs turn to run the show again, or polk will step in w/ their young talent and take over... the only even decent player they have is that little shortstop that was a freshman last year, but a sophomore cannot carry a team on his back alone. especially over a team loaded w/ senior leadership like central is this year
-
the chiefs will never stand a chance in this district
-
central should do alright this year. lost 3 seniors that started every game. a few very special seniors this year. and two special sophomores... polk will be down after losing qualls, bean, and allen
-
ryan casteel- bradley central (SR catcher)
dylan coleman- mcminn central (SR shortstop)
jared allen- polk county (SO catcher/pitcher/OF)
Blackman vs. Memphis Overton
