  1. I am not sure who you are and really don??™t care; however, you seem to have a lot of opinions about Dickson softball. I am a parent of one of the four senior players from Dickson. I have only posted one other time ??“ it won??™t be hard to figure out who I am ??“ not that it matters.

I can say this ??“ for the players on Dickson??™s team ??“ let them play. They are a great group of girls and ???could??? have been a good team. For the parents of the players that have been talked about in this post ??“ go to a private school! The sooner you can be gone the better! I just hate you waited until my child is graduating to make your move. You have done nothing in the past to help this team and obviously still aren??™t interested in doing anything to help this team. If you think your child helped this team ??“ you are out of your mind. We didn??™t even make it out of the districts. Get over yourself! Dickson has managed that feat with or without your child every year. Your child is no better or worse than the 9 that played last year or the 9 that played the year before last, and so on.

You have tried your best to destroy people??™s lives with rumors and other teams by stirring up controversy ??“ specifically Creekwood. Let Creekwood be! The girl that left didn??™t help or hurt us. Let her play ball.

I have never agreed with every decision the coaches made but I AM NOT THE COACH. I don't get to make those decisions.

I hope the parents/players you are referring to can find peace playing softball somewhere. I don??™t see it happening.

I also bet most people reading CoachT care a whole lot more about teams continuing forward to the State Championship than a team that couldn't even get out of district.

  2. As a parent of a player on the Dickson County Softball Team - I can't begin to let you how impressed we are with the support we are seeing for Kayla from other teams. To see the Rossview team on the field with their lime green shoe laces and lime green ribbons in their hair - was very moving. I can assure you there weren't many dry eyes in the stands. To read that other teams are joining in to support Kayla means so much to our team. This is something that most of our players, coaches and families have not had to deal with before and the support you are showing is making an impact.

If you have a picture of your team - please email me at lisadampf@aol.com. We would like to put something together to show Kayla how many other softball families are thinking about her and praying for her.

I've listed a link that you can go to for updates on Kayla. You can also post well-wishes to her through the caringbridge site. www.caringbridge.org/visit/kaylacantrell

Thanks again and please keep Kayla, her family and our team in your prayers.
