With Kingsbury going to A/AA and White Station going to different district i expect Houston and/or Collierville to be back at state next year...I think it will be White Station and Houston advancing to state next year from the west
-
Kingsbury is dropping down to A/AA with the new district settings and classifications. They will be a team to watch. Maybe they will shake things up with CAK.
Wow and White Station is out of the Houston Collierville district starting next year
-
I understand that Clarksville is only losing 4 seniors and they were quite strong this year. I would probably pick them as the 6th or 7th best team in the state this past season over teams like Cleveland, LaVergne, and Kingsbury. Other than that I like your list.
I notice no west Tennessee teams represented in this list. Chime in out West as to who is going to have a breakout season or which powerhouse is going to be back in the driver seat.
Well I dont know if any powerhouse will return...its possible Houston could they had a relatively young squad this year and will prob still be young next year but im not sold on them...Kingsbury definetly could be back...they will have their best player back i believe(#20) i think hes only a soph this year...White Station should be decent again...but other than that AAA out west isnt that great anymore...after last years '90 class they lost all the talent...all the west talent is now in the private schools...

The final scores I have heard so far
Brentwood 2
Bearden 1
Father Ryan 1
JPII 0
Does anyone have the Farragut- Cleveland score?
TSSAA shows Farragut 2-0
CBHS 4-1
SHould be 2 great finals rematch of last year and Brentwood trying to win back to back titles

CBHS 4 MCALLIE 1

you guys wouldn't throw brentwood in the discussion to beat farragut? and why?
I'm gonna stick with my Original prediction and say Farragut Brentwood final and Farragut will win it 1-0 or 2-1...

kingsbury gave cleveland all they wanted and more. Shame on cleveland fans for booing downed players and tacky remarks regarding an assumed language barrier
agreed i really have nothing positive to say about Cleveland...except enjoy the win while it last

If this was the foul, someone may likely be withdrawing their comments.
yes that was foul wait actually no the keeper has the ball in his hands and the kingsbury player is running into him...or keeper is backin it up on kingsburys players face...

I was impressed with way Farragut played; they had too, as Hendersonville did not lie down in this one. Their defense never cracked as Farragut continued to apply the patent pressure. Goal scored on a quick start thru-ball to Sam Eddy, one-on-one with goalie, 1-0 Farragut. Weird play; Trevor taken down hard and took time to get up. As Hendersonville started questioning call, Farragut quick start caught Hendersonville off guard.
Neither goalies really challenged in this one as defenses pretty much were able to clear out and control the box. Hendersonville had that bend but not break back line as Farragut constantly pushed forward creating through ball passes only to be broken up.
Next up, Cleveland. I only saw the O.T and looked like they had their hands full. Should be a good one. 1 vs. 2 in state.
By performances Id have to say that it would be Farragut Bearden Brentwood Hendersonville and then Cleveland...Farragut should get by tomorrow night and will have their hands full with either Bearden or Brentwood

If you're not trying to be offensive, you are not doing very well especially when you go as far as demeaning 'internationals on kingsbury" and criticizing the Cleveland coaches when obviously you don't even have a clue as to who said what by your own comments. Also, by the way, this is not Cleveland's first time to state as you stated by your veiled comments/insults. Having said all that to respond to your "perspectives" , there should be some good soccer coming up tomorrow night.
sorry i voice my view of games...ill keep quiet...hows this for you...
Cleveland won 2-1 in overtime ...the end
-
RockyTop, your assessment of the foul is inaccurate. Cleveland's keeper came out and got ball. The Kingsbury player ran into him. It should have been a no call but instead a very marginal official gave Kingsbury a PK which they converted.
I will disagree with you I was right there and youre probably a Cleveland parent but i was impartial to any teams i watched and it was a PK no doubt...but the ref was terrible the whole game but atleast he consistently was bad...
I left after that game and didnt see the Farragut game or Brentwood but from what the score indicates A)Brentwood and Bearden is gonna be an AMAZING game...and Farragut won like i expected and should take care of Cleveland next round...
Now to the games I saw...
Bearden looked dominant. They missed about 5 or 6 great chances in the first half before the keeper finally lost the handle on one and they found the back of the net...Second half they came out and finally connected on their finishes...Columbia looked either intimidated or just way out matched...
I was not impressed at all with Cleveland...yes...they won...give credit where credit is due...but for being the so called 7th best team in spring soccer in the nation...I wasnt impressed...Kingsbury took it to them in the first 5 or 10 minutes but then Cleveland setteled and began to work it and scored with i think about 20 min left in the half...second half was a lot of whining and complaining by both teams and the internationals on kingsbury defintely lived up to the flopping and taking an hour to get up...but Clevelands coaches showed that they obviously have never been here before because they were complaining a good portion of the half and i couldnt tell which of the 5 coaches they had was yelling...PK was well deserved...#20 for Kingsbury was the most impressive part of this game...if you put him on a team with the level of talent as good or near his he would be amazing...yes he was whining alot too but so was everybody else...and his yellow was another bad call by the ref because he had already left his feet for the header before the keeper caught the ball so it was 50 50 ball and yes he ran into him but the reaction by (i dont remember who) on Cleveland was unwarranted...crossbar saved kingsbury in the 1st overtime and goal for Cleveland was a nice leave by one player and great volley by the goal scorer...Overall i think Farragut should beat Cleveland 2-0 or 3-1...
My predictions are that Brentwood will beat Bearden in OT 3-2 and Farragut will beat Cleveland 2-0 or 3-1
No hard feelings to anyone if i may have offended anyone in this post just giving my perspective
-
Cleveland scored with 5 min left in 2nd OT and advance 2-1
-
Cleveland kingsbury going to overtime keeper came out and took kid out on breakaway
-
PK kingsbury 1-1 bearden wins 4-0
-
Cleveland 1-0 at half
-
Bearden 3-0...ill just update this game after the beating is over
-
Cleveland worked ball around scored 20th min 1-0. Bearden opens half with goal in min 2-0
-
Bearden dominated first half should have had 4 or 5 but columbia keeper played great until a cross went through his hands and bearden finally capitalized. Bearden 1-0 half

What a remarkable story...for as bad a wrap as memphis gets in the news so often this just proves that the city of Memphis is not what people make it out to be...this should be something on ESPN not crap about Lane Kiffin updating his twitter...

i will be there wed for AAA games supporting whoever needs support...
-
Thats good to know...and yes watch out for kingsbury i have believed since the pairings came out that anyone who got them would need to make sure they respect the talent on that team and not look over them or they will win...good luck to kingsbury glad to see they got the money
-
People check this link out this is sad i hope they all are able to get there. This will be a great game because you know these kids will play their hearts out...hope Cleveland realizes that...http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/20 ... ying-high/

I believe they will...out west atleast...and saw how they competed in AAA state with the undefeated Cleveland team...
the kingsbury team will be a threat in A/AA next year and hopefully years to come
