  1. Tough District. 3-4A has usually four or five quality teams. With two being outstanding. It doesn't help playing Oak Ridge and AC every year either. AC the past couple of years haven't been setting the world on fire either. Hopefully we can rework our out of district schedule to help benefit us.

  2. I can't see what Wimp Shoopman has to do with the football program. I think your grabbing at straws here.

Clinton just has been slower to get back to be a playoff contender like we all would want. But with Maryville Central & now West in our District its a tough one to get your head above water.

  3. Well I'll say this South Doyle will be the team to beat this year and William Blount isn't any one to take lightly they demolished a Halls team that wasn't that bad.

It will be interesting to see which two will progress from DB, SH, SD and WB.

Don't know to much about the kingsport area and how tough the districts are up there. So we should see some great baseball played this next week based on the records going in.

  4. I think they do I don't know if they publish it though.

Congrats to Bubba Owens he was the leader this year for the young Dragons and Coach Casey Taylor.

Look out for Freshman Bo Prater hit the ball well when he had the opportunity.

  5. Whats with your coach?

Was that humilty in your win or a major cut against the players. Your suppose to hit against young pitching whats that all about? Sounds like hes a very unhappy person. Did he expect you to run rule them? Give me a break.

At least your pitcher said something good about the run support. Oak Ridge weren't that bad and played well all year.

  6. Sadly true. Parents are getting way to carried away. Even in my neck of the woods in Clinton a father has a restraining order against him due to a disagreement with the coach. Who is the biggest loser? His kids who want to play with their friends and be part of a team. Sometimes its hard to distinguish who is the kid and the one that needs to grow up. It even made news in the Sentinel a week ago.

  7. I agree so much more stress when its one and done. During the league leading up to the tournament not to much pressure. But when you are faced with elimination its whoevers game is on. Impressive league records mean very little ask the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA.

  8. QUOTE(Hammer Head @ May 8 2007 - 12:30 PM) 826454523[/snapback]I wonder how the new Hardin Valley High School will affect Farragut baseball? Anything can happen if you don't come ready to play on any given day. A dominating pitcher sure helps don't it?

Missing Capatano??? How is he doing at North Carolina?

  9. My pick is Dayton from Halls the kid is smooth. I couldn't imagine how he would do in a passing offense with Ryan or Burnette or even Zach Hood to throw to him. He was the difference for them last year. Their QB was decent but he made the plays. Hazelhurst our best DB couldn't keep up with him. Great hands and quick.

Stephen Shiver, Strong over the middle and stayed in the shadow of Tyler Maples. With Burnette passing to him he should be the go to guy for the Rebels this year. Quarles loves to throw so he should get a lot of opportunities.
