  1. Congrats to the Macon Tigers. This chance does not come ofton. We are

proud to have a neighbor Miss Bean that is playing great. Don't let up

give your all. Macon County ( Lafayette ) needs a gold ball. May God

    guide you in this effort.

  2. i agree she may have been the best defensive player in the tourney and those 3 three pointers she made was a killer for RBS

Hope is the most improved player on the team. A great player, on a greatteam.

Congratulations JC. I believe another gold ball is within reach. I really dont't

want to beat a dead horse. But RBS is going to blow another state champ season.

They have the athletes again. The big difference in region 4 game was coaching.

A very average coach that has always padded his skeduale to achieve wins. The

JC coach Jim Brown who has always played the very best teams, and is without

doubt the best high school coach in the state. And for teams that are looking

to improve, get a strong fairminded coach, work with the parents to encourage

support. And work to have a great school system. The fans will support this

effort. Again JC is blessed with all this. It did not just happen, they work

at it every day. They don't have to recruit kids, and parents, want to be part

    of this. Go JC>

  4. I have not been able to attend many of the JC games this year due to

health problems. I have been there in my heart. This is a fine group

of young athletes. What they have done is amazing. That is not a strong

enough word for what they have done. It is a tribute to the parents, the

best fans in the state, the coaches, and the jackson county school

system. Good luck in the state tour. I am hoping I will be able to come.

  5. RBS has had some of the best talent of any schoolin the area. Ask the coaches

that have played against them. At least three or four state champs teams.

They have made the final four only once. Also they have had more quality

athletes quit the team than anyone else. The 500 wins have mostly come against

weaker teams. But it is what it is, believe what you want.

  6. Swanny I enjoy reading your comments are always on the ball and provide

accurate information. RBS don't get much respect because they don't earn it.

They pick only weak teams so you know who can run his win totals up. You

let a few people cause the Lafayette games to be canceled. Also dropped

Jackson County, Clarkrange, and other games that made money, and drawed

big crowds. Not to forget losing the best Xmas Tour. in the state by also

bringing in weak teams, so you know who could look good to the locals.

Well I think it needs to be brought up at times, wait till next year.

You had better do it this year.

  7. JC moving down hasn't been bad at all for anyone, if anything it's made it more competitive for almost all sports. Yes JC has dominated girls basketball in 7a but if you're going to complain for them dominating girls basketball then you would have to complain about Trousdale County in Football, Monterey in Baseball, and RBS/Monterey in Softball. Had Trousdale County stayed in Region 4a they would have the most region championships from 2000-2010, in baseball Monterey has won 10 of the last 11 district championships, in softball from 2000-2009 RBS or Monterey has won the district championships and if RBS had been in 7a this past year they would have won district once again. JC has dropped down and basically done what these teams have done for the last 11 or 10 years.

For 10 years ,whether it be playing or coaching, i've watched Monterey kick my butt in baseball time and time again. I never wished them gone from the district, but when it come to playing, me and my teammates where always ready to go and almost always played our best and hardest every time we stepped on the field against them. When I helped coach I always tried my best to get the boys ready to play their best game against Monterey because they were, and to this day are, the team to beat in District 7a baseball. It wasn't only us but other teams in the district always bring their best game against Monterey and try possibly their hardest every time they take the field with them just because they're the team to beat. I look at Jackson County girls basketball and see the same thing. They're the team to beat no matter how good they are. Every team always brings "it" against them because they are who they are, and I have the upmost respect for not only the JC girls bball program but for all the district powers because they always get everyone's best and still come out on top and it takes a special talent and great coaching to over come that. I could easily say if JC had stayed in 7aa then RBS would have been playing Forest in 06 instead of JC but if they never moved down there would have been no way to be able to witness the district championship game between RBS and JC that is the best high school girls basketball game that i've ever seen. I've never had a problem with JC come down, everyone already pretty much plays them in every sport anyway we just might as well should make it count for something! :thumb:

  8. The game was a little closer than I expected.

I ALSO went to rbs. It is not something I am proud of. To

try and justify rbs sports is like saying a terrible movie

will win the academy award. A start for rbs would be to not

count a two win season as a success. But I know this won't

happen, so go on and stay like you have been forever.

  9. Listen if you cannot beat Jackson County don't mess up basketball,

like they already have football. It is not the size of the school. It is

the fan support, coaching, and the past record of success. And when

JC and Clarkrange have a down year they are not on here complaining

about someone having an unfair advantage. Did anyone notice how Jim

Brown played his freshmen and Soph's early in the year. That will pay

off later. Get you a good coach, start working with players in the

5&6 grades or before. Quit crying.

  10. I for one do not have very much interest in football since they

changed the system for 6 classifications. It has taken a lot away

from the game. Leave the basketball alone. It works fine the way

it is. And anyway JC has to rebuild next year, all the weiners will

    have achance to compete.

  11. I would like to congratulate the Lady Devils. There were players

that stepped up this year and I could not say all that I feel about

this team. I really believe the situation these girls have had at JC

will prepare them for their future lives. There hasn't been much

said about it but JC prepares young ladies for their future. Character

honesty, teamwork, love for each other, disipline, humility, this may

be the most important thing as they prepare to move on. Also I

hate to tell everyone in the sports world, but JC is loaded for next

year with great players ready to step up. Go JC. :thumb::thumb::thumb:

  12. I just wanted also to say that the tournament is very well organized by the

tssaa. The facilities are great at a great location. The refs did a great job

wed. Yes my team won, but I would say the same if it had went the other

way. So good to hear someone give credit when it is due. I actually set there

yesterday and told my wife what a great place this was. Again tssaa our hats

are off to you, and the mtsu staff. I have followed coach ensel for years he is

one of the people that trys to do things right. :hungry::hungry:

  13. Jackson County has a good team. I think most people in JC realize that there are

only good teams at the state tour. Having said that any team that has a bad start

or let down may lose. The team that plays together, prepares the best, and some

luck thrown in will take the gold ball. I am proud of JC and I think there will be no

losers there. They have already won, they are in the 2010 state tour. What they

have already accomplished for their respective schools, they are truly winners

now. God Bless all that participate.

  14. Swanson, Molly has been playing with an ACL tear and a meniscus tear. Her ACL was 60% torn, but last night finished it off. She has surgery scheduled for the 25th of this month. Very tough young lady who left it on the floor. She had an outstanding high school career, and now it is time to get her knee better and get ready to be a Golden Eagle. Congratulations to RBS on the win! The Colter girl is a long range assassin. I hope to see you guys playing at the Murphy Center. Good luck!

We know the work, and effort these young athletes put in. Also the parents who support and

help in so many ways. Miss Heady gave it all she had. Best wishes to her and her family and to

the CR nation. How many people play on a State championship team and go undefeated all

year. God Bless the Heady family.

  16. Senator I just want to ad that Laken has never wanted publicity

and if she receives any it is not her doing but by people like you

and me. She is playing her last reg. season game at home tonight.

I was just thinking it will always be her home, where the fans have

loved her. She has loved them back. She would not want it said,

but here goes anyway. As she approaches 2900 points, holds

rebound records at two schools, great assists , played 3 or 4 positions

I would not try to list all she has done. She led RBS to the final four

while in the 8th grade. Been nominated for miss bb 3times. She

was on the 08 state championship team. She knows she has had

great players to help her. But I thought this a good time to remind

people of some of these accomplishments, and she will always be

a Jackson County girl. way to go Laken.

  17. aaumom I was not aware that 7a people expected rbs to dominate

8a this year. The reason they left was because they did not compete

well in 7a. I look for 8a to be much better next year and rbs will be

just rbs. You can't eat good steak till you get good beef from which

to partake. You have to work to correct your problems to be

successful. So I think 8a will be much better next year. More

experienced players, good coaching for the most part, equals

    winning.

  18. I thought it interesting, when you were talking about players taking to many

shots, as well as sometimes bad shots. There is a fine line between a great

player and a HOTDOG. The great players want to do good, win games, and

have a driveing ambition to do this. They know that they have to get their

team-mates involved if they can. Sometimes it is hard to do. I noticed what

you said about the ball bouncing off their heads, their hands, and so forth.

It has been my experience that there are few really good passing teams.

You can't coach it, it is a GOD given ability. So we need to give the good

players a little slack when they don't pass enough to please us. They may

just want to win and are stepping up. You have to catch the ball if you

want to get it. Then hit a shot every once in a while. Just my opinion. :thumb:

  19. I wasn't going to say anymore, but the great posts here the coming

together to pay tribute to all the young women who sacrifice so

much help their teams, the younger players and are expected to

do so much. Yes the miss basketball should have good character, and

in the big games lead her team. Not just in scoring but floor leadership

as well. You would think a nominee would help her team in earning

at least a trip to the state tourn. Although I would listen to the

facts on someone that her team did not make it. Great posts

it has made me feel good to be on here with you.

  20. I hope no one says anything negative against any of the girls mentioned here.

It is indeed an honor to be mentioned with this group. I just want to say that

Laken Leonard and JC have played the hardest scheduale, and have a great

record. Perhaps the best game against Blackman JC actually holding a lead

with 14 seconds to go, finally losing by 1 point to a great AAA team. I feel

that she is a true christian, living and leading by example. She loves her team

and they love her. I think this is what life should be about. Not saying the

others mentioned are any less. She does the things that go unnoticed a lot

of times. She lives for her savior, and I wish I could be more like her. Best of

luck to all the other girls the rest of the season. :D

  21. I want to say that many times in the last year, when an interesting topic

is on someone stops it. Usually when someone is supporting JC. I thought

Indian was straight forward, but he has proved otherwise. One man should

not be able to control what is said on hear unless the are saying bad things

about the students. But no one called in two or three years ago

when terrible things were said about a jc student and her family. No one

called for and end to the CR and RBS comments. Now when JC beats CR

in a terrible gym, They are accused of taking advantage of CR.

Then 86 crawls out from under the rocks, and midtenn is the only one

that stands up to their lies and false statements, and they declare(Indian)

Oh we can't have people from JC getting on here and telling the truth.
