Can ANYONE tell me why there are Seniors on this baseball team who have never played and that can't even throw a baseball, but are starting over much better players who have played all of their lives and are much better??? What is going on??? What is the REAL TRUTH behind this???

you can say whatevery you want to about recruiting. the fact is someone at grace is developing talent.

let me take a crack at our sales pitch. hey i know you are starting at your school where it is free, but drop down to 1A set a yr and then give us six thousand a yr and right then we close the deal by saying everbodys doing it. come on we get kids like the qb last year clinton boy who had the luck of playing with the stone kid. you should be happy for that kid he sat out his yr and got to play as a senior.

...and you see where Clinton is now...getting ready for basketball season! Great job Grace...Great school, athletics, etc....that's why kids are choosing to come join a winner!! Grace does not have to recruit....the kids come willingly...why wouldn't they? They actually get an education at Grace and it's all centered around God...What more could you ask for? Go GRACE RAMS!!

The stars really have aligned for this Clinton team. A couple of years ago, this schedule would have been much tougher (Halls, Powell, Central, and Oak Ridge definitely aren't as talented this year). Clinton should roll, 49-7.

..Again.nobody is slamming the players at Clinton...where do you get this?? In fact I'd love to see the boys win it all...please read the posts and comprehend what you are reading, before you assume...that goes for the Sharpe kid, too...who said anything bad about Ryan? Great kid and athlete, he just got used by the system...he's a victim here...the Adults that know better should be punished...Like I said before TSSAA will make the decisions...I don't want the kids to suffer from Davis either, but Davis has to be punished if he did wrong...And I hope the fans keep it Classy...win with class and lose with class..

If the young man that left does go to a 1A school or wherever he will have a good chance to play college ball if he wants...Lots of 1A players are at good colleges playing and getting a good education as we speak...the 2 seniors at Clinton should be doing the same right now!! There is no excuse that they are not!!!

I can't believe how out of hand this thread has gotten. i used to just get on here and read the updates and info that people would write but I couldn't help but join after reading some of this. I really wish people would just drop the thing about the Sharp kid. He is an 17 or 18 year old KID for heavens sake. I mean I totally agree about some of the stuff said about Clinton's administration (especially Davis) but to try to bring down Clinton and the kids that are there now is just ridiculous. Those kids that are there now have worked there butt off for this year and to be talked about the way they are. I have no problem with it and it is well deserved. If you have been around Clinton for awhile you could have probably seen this year coming because the group of seniors have been good since they were in Middle school. I think they would improve a lot from different coaching if you ask me. I don't understand a lot of stuff that the coaches do and there reasoning for it. I agree with a lot that is said but I do think that some of these so called "rumors" that are "facts" to some would just have some proof to back it up. If you know that is fact I want to see proof. If you want to post something that is what you should be posting rather than just saying something to get a rise out of someone. If that is all you intend to do that is fine, just sad. Just hate to see people hide behind a screen name and feel like they can say anything they want without any actual proof.

 

Heres hoping that this thread can get back to what it was meant to be. I seriously hope that Clinton does not try to set any records Friday night because that would mean leaving the starters in for a while and the last thing we can have is a big injury considering our weakness is our depth. Can't say much for Shattucks coaching ability or ethics....And I do believe that both of the Seniors last year "HAD IT"...they could have went on to play somewhere with a little dedication and help from their "GOOD" coach..and yes...TSSAA is thinking about it...they won't be able to ignore all of the questions...that's their job. Did you say Davis is a good man with a good heart? HAHA...if he was indeed what you say, then his actions would show it...He can talk a good game, but what he SHOWS is what is in his heart. He is so lucky that he has not cost CHS a fortune in legal payouts...

Ethel..chill...breathe...you are getting in a wad...nobody said anything about the players..heck we even wished them luck this year...but you and I both know that Shattuck is a liar and Davis as well...They use these kids for the sake of a game and then discard them as trash...Just ask one of the Seniors from last year's team...used him, then wouldn't speak to him much less help him get recruited in College...that's a sorry coach..And Jim Davis will get what's coming to him...it's a matter of time..he has done wrong to a lot of great kids...this time, it's him on the line...Of course Clinton can win without Sharpe, that's a given, but still does not mean that there was not a violation....Davis and Company think they can do whatever they want and not get caught...not this time..TSSAA is all over this one..

I think that TSSAA will have the final word in all of this....and I think that once they find out the TRUTH, it's going to be bad.....and no, the coach wouldn't have let the kid stay unless he was a great athlete...there are tons of kids at Clinton that have major problems and you don't see the coaches taking those kids in...think about it...It's not for the kids, it's to WIN a game...SAD...

plus he only play in one of there two games...if there were to have to forfeit any game...which i doubt...it would only be one. You have to remember as long as a school has a change of address on file...that kid can play i wouldnt worry about it if i was Clinton were still gonna win some games this year

Jim Davis knew that Ryan was living with a Clinton Coach....he wants to penalize kids from playing sports if they leave Clinton, but he breaks the rules at Clinton...Not this time...TSSAA are swamped with calls and emails about this subject...I see them coming down hard on this one...TSSAA has no choice, they have been coming down hard on all other schools...hope it does not cost these players their season...may not have a season like this for a long, long time..

I thought Amos would be the star of the show this season, good ballplayer, must be a slipery ladder at Grace, you can slip down it in the blink of an eye. I wonder if Grace will have more kids to become elligable as the year goes by, it happened last season.

He is in the running for Offensive Player of the week....I don't call that slipping....besides we don't have one star at GCA....it's a TEAM sport and we sure are playing well as a TEAM.

Stone needs to work on his touch some on the short passes , take a little heat off , Hazelhurst needs to get more rest on defense , so he can be fresher on offense .
