  1. Tennessee High is 10-5 with one game left (volunteer at home). Science Hill is 9-6 with Sullivan South left. THS was pre-season picked 6th in the conference and looks to finish 3rd, way to go VIKINGS!!!!!!! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

    3. Science Hill 10-5*

    4. Tennessee High 9-5*

    5. Sullivan Central 7-7^

    6. Sullivan East 6-8^

I forgot to note that Science Hill and Tennessee High split their regular season matches, and Sullivan East and Sullivan Central split their regular season matches. Things could get interesting as the season comes to a close. I am not sure what type of tiebreaker is used for seeding purposes.

  2. Since you obviously think you know me, how/why do I know you?

And, BTW, I make money running my mouth, so it is good.

You don't make money for running your mouth at volleyball games though...you don't know me and it really doesn't matter who I am...my sister use to play in northeast tennesse and we both use to coach(she stilll does). By the way, lawyers get paid to run their mouth to pursue, accuse, or persuade someone..not sure what the motive is at volleyball games, or who it is helping. I'm out.

  3. No AceofSpaid, no coach or program in particular. Same could be said of lots of club coaches. I have no doubt coaching HS is probably the worst of the worst for back seat drivers.

But if you want to talk about a particular HS in our conference, there is a program that has several good club players on board. The parents got so frustrated with the level of play and coaching that they hired a private coach for the entire team, scheduled the practices, and told the coach she could come if she liked. But for club, it might be tough for those kids to get noticed.

I have tried to behave myself this year, better than last. And you??

See you tonight, get them fired up.

I wasn't at the game Ken, but my sister was.....and I heard it was a hard fought game. Are you doing better? I have no idea...but if you are running your mouth at all, its not good!!!

  4. I am still looking for a new Barbie, just don't tell my present wife.

I have been involved in volleyball for 17 years, club coached for 3, Impact certified. I'm not an idiot on the subject, and think that I can recognize good coaching skills when I see them... but that is a subjective opinion that may not be enjoyed by the world as a whole.

On the initial subject. If you have an agressive high school coach with college connections, great, save your money for cars, gas, food, etc. If not, make the angle work with club, more exposure in more venues, and hope for the best.

That is alot of experience, but still not a high school or college coach...although I'm sure you have knowledge of the game. My question to you is, if you are referring to your own high school coach..wouldn't be easier to support them? As I'm sure you would never want someone coming to your job stating how you "don't have skills", maybe you should consider that? Again, knowledge or not..arm chair coaches can cause SO much problems in the volleyball program, not to mention the community. I would hope you are not one of those parents...always complaining, never happy...threatning to transfer her to another school or talking trash to other parents..it ALWAYS gets back to the coach. Just be careful of your words, especially if your daughter is not a senior ...or if you have other kids going to be playing volloeyball for the same coach. BE on the same team...don't be the enemy.
