  1. Go Dyersburg!

Add St Benedict boys in D-II also.

    Boys' Early Season State Predictions:

AAA-Morristown, if they don't peak early and run flat at state.

    D-II-McCallie and MBA tight battle.

    AA-MLK vs USJC

D-2: Ensworth will be strong, not saying they'll win just that they'll be strong

AAA: i dont know enough about them

A-AA: First who does usjc have? Mlk wins easy...the rest is a toss up MLK will probably take two of top five spots Watch for Tyler Kepley from macon county he'll be top five if not three.. loren newsom will be a contender too... no clear favorite in my opinion it'll be fun to watch... i'm pulling for Tyler to win but we'll see

U really seem to know ur stuff, stranger :D:thumb::lol::thumb:

i do i do.. just keep chasing ... A/AA does matter this year yes they are weaker than before but some good runners have come from there and will continue to come from there. and if station camp hadn't of had to move up then that would have added to the depth

  3. He beat him at the governors classic at austinpeay. And as i predicted he beat him in the eight, and so did the kid from mt.juliet, and if I correctly remember so did one other runner. Also It was disappointing to see jake rainey have to drop. Unofficial word was that he was down with some sort of sickness. The mile would have been crazy between him and mahaney. And congrats to music in the two mile. He beasted running a 4:57 first mile and the running a negative split by ten with a follow up mile of 4:47. Kids beast. The hurdle times in the 300 all seemed sort of slow(for the times posted), but word was 4 of the top 5 were running banged up. the 100 was Cunningham all the way. And what was up with that crazy fast girl in the 100 hurdles.

Carmicheal didnt run at AP, and he didnt run the 800 at Great 8. Maybe you got him confused with his team mate Matt Scarola (sp). Matt is a great runner who has broken 2 once. Matt raced both the races where you thought you saw GC.

  4. Thats what im wondering, was that coarse fast? It seems everyone masacered their pr's? mahaney went from like what a 16:50 the previous week to a 15:56!!!!!! and snyder ran a 16:38!!!. Thats one massive pr. I'm not accastomed to the normal times of mlk but i havent heard them running anything close to a 17:07 team average so far thats sick! Someone please tell me that coarse was short! /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

    yes the course is fast.

If my info is correct then the other races those two ran were merely training runs. Mahaney going that fast is completley logical. I personally thought he would have gone faster, but still his time is respectable by all. Snyder is doing good, but he should be since he is training with one of the best in TN. Hopefully, he will be able to step up and help his team a lilttle more when it matters. Neither of them pr'd.

MLK ran very good. I'm impressed with them. Hopefully, they will keep up the work and run good at the classic.

  5. Well MaHOWNey started off season really slow in Cookville yesterday. Team looked much stronger than last year. If they improve 3-5, whew watch out.

Mabye MaHOWNey is starting to rub off???!?!?!!!

Macon already running? how many other teams have started running?

Which teams are running in the silver division at the Classic?

Any going to try in the gold?

  6. You first.

    Alright

    Boys Individual:

    1. Brandon Mahaney

    2. Mark Cole

    3. Matt Coniglio

    4. Steven Snyder

    5. Jeff Musick

    6. David Smith

    7. Jack Kaiser

    8. Micah Wasserman

odd number to stop at but its tough after that.

    Girls Individual:

    1. Jessica Duble

    2. Alex Mullin

    3. Audrey Hazlehurst

    4. Diana Eddington

    5. Stephanie Davenport

Girls are complicated too. It is hard to tell any girl can come from the woodwork.

    Boys Team:

    1. Usjc

    2. Macon County

    3. MLK

    4. David Lipscomb

    5. Station Camp

    Girls Team

    1. Usjc

Unsure about the rest. I obviously pay much more attention to the guys side of the sport.

If anything is mis-spelled i apologize.

  7. with ryan johnson out of the picture

    will mhaney take the triple?

    i dont think so

absolutely i mean unless some un forseen force shows up and beats him

i think for anyone to beat mahaney in the two mile next year they'd have to run sub 9:10

the mile sub 4:12 the 800 sub 1:56

and that will be extremely hard

however i would love to see someone try so if there are any takers let me know

  8. I'm predicting a 6th or 7th place finish for Collegedale. FRA will probably fall out of the top 5 (for once) if stealth is correct about the quality diminishing.

Macon County should be ever improving some more.

Musick will be on a tear to lead Lipscomb back to the top.

USJC remains loaded. They need a 5th guy to do anything though.

Could a surprise team pop up out of the blue and take the state by storm?

    Are they actually good?

Is Musick still running? He didnt do anything during track? Where is he?

Macon County could do something with their up-front attack.

USJC could easily take it if they put someone in that fifth spot ,but who do they have to do that?

Station Camp should be given some consideration for a top four spot.

  9. Just give Station camp the credit they deserve! They are the ones that won the title and however they did it doesn't matter. you got third (whoever you are). Go cry and then try to get better for next year!

Will mahaney be beaten at a distance over a mile by any a/aa runner again? Is it possible that he wins out for his high school career? Does anyone have the guts to actually challenge him (other than RJ) in cross or track from now on? I'd like to see him actually race this fall!

  10. Agreed. I don't think Mahaney would beat Johnson in the 800 if they were both fresh anyways.

i doubt Johnson will be able to beat Mahaney in the mile. Mahaney has just been to strong at that distance and above

the 800 will definitely be a tough task for Mahaney and Johnson is very good at it i see it going either way for the 800

  11. ok i have no idea what that was about. but i would like to express my disgust in the completely stacked field that is the middle section distance events. 10:07 didnt even get you to state this year and 10:20 barely got you on the podium. i wish i lived in memphis

and ya rogers is gonna kill that kid sorry

wow doesn't 10:07 get you fourth at state last year?

    that is stacked as ever

    who qualified from the middle?

  12. will Johnson run away with the triple crown? 3200-1600-800... i think he could win them all individually but running all those in the same day presents quite a challenge.. also word on the street is that Mahanney is doing all three too

anyone care to comment or correct me

    [/quote/]

mahaney will win the 3200 and the 1600 and if he does the 800 i am going to say he takes one of the top three spots he is the only distance runner in A/AA with a chance at the triple

however johnson could pull out the double although it is unlikely

  13. what do the rest of fridays results look like?

and not to put LA down but how did they beat BA???? just saying that BA is there would strike fear in most people unless BA is down this year just let me know how they are doing this year and how the game went

  14. nor can i, but don't forget that xc isn't quite over yet. we still have the post season: FLS, NTN, FLNats. should be good to see how keveren holds up against colby lowe, and how baylor stacks up to... the pacific northwest.

not to mention the A/AA guys who will be at FLS. Mahaney has a shot at a medal, and everybody ought to run a huge PR...

so what area runners are going to FLS.

who hit JAM in the face?

  15. would you shut up. i am by no means good at cross country but if i was i wouldnt be selling myself like you are. you'll learn that it takes more than raw talent to succeed in this sport. so sit back and dont make a fool of yourself just yet cause you never know what will happen. and please tell me you run track too

thank you stealth you have said what i should have said awhile ago

hopefully we'll see you at sub-sectionals cause i dont think you will make it to sectionals, jordan

  16. Oh yeah. Blitton was a baller from what I heard and then fizzled off.

Here's another one. David Talbott of CSAS.

Check this out. From the STATE results.

    Frosh - 23rd

    Soph - Didn't run.

    Junior - 17th

    Senior - 52nd.

    See?

thanks i knew you could back me up

maybe this kid will understand i dont think he understands the kind of training it takes to be a State Champion

  17. My PR doesnt matter anymore all that matters is next year and my Pr is way better than anyone else in my age

actually i think you will find that two other freshmen beat you yesterday

and i am not 100% sure but i think there have been other freshmen(jackson bliton[unsure of spelling]) that were great at first but later didnt get any better maybe coniglio can give the exact story

    what is your pr
