  1. Obion County Central is hosting their second annual 7 on 7/Lineman Challenge on July 12. Teams at this event will be OCC, Dyer County, Dyersburg, Westview, South Fulton, Lake County, Halls, JCM (last year's 7 on 7 champs), Hayti (MO.), and Nashville (IL.).

  2. Obion County Central has Coach Comm Connex headsets for sale.  It comes with a six headsets (four sideline, two press box w/control box) and two cases to carry sideline and press box sets in.  Units are three to four years old and do need to be reconditioned.  Asking price is $500.  If you are interested, please contact Head Coach Kevin Goltra at kgoltra@k12tn.net.

  6. It was a good day of competition for all teams involved. As stated by specialed, Jackson Central won the 7-on-7 aspect of the day. Obion County Central's linemen won the Lineman Challenge that took place in the morning.

     

    Teams that were involved in the days activities were Obion County Central, Jackson Central, Dyer County (Varsity & JV), Graves County (KY), Westview, Brighton, and Hayti (MO).

As mentioned on Football Scoop, it states "The following video is an inside look at the intensity of the Warrior Games and Obion County football including access inside meetings, the coaches office, and the weight room and indoor facility. Some very good coaching content here."

  9. Attention players in West Tennessee. The 2011 4th Quarter Football Camp will be held at Obion County Central High School on May 31 & June 1. Cost is $65 at the door for the two days. Tonight (Wednesday) and Friday from 4-6 p.m., there will be early registration at the OCCHS field house for a discount price of $50. One last thing, if you want to attend for just the first day (testing & the afternoon session, lunch provided), the cost of that is $30. Payment required is cash. Registration at the door is 9:00 a.m. on May 31 with things starting at 10:00.

     

    This event is held at the football field of OCCHS and is run by the 4th Quarter Camp, made up of college coaches who want to help players from grades 6-12 in improving their skills. Coaches from Missouri, Arkansas State, Upper Iowa, Northern Iowa, Southern Illinois, and Avilla will be on hand run this camp.

     

    Due to the possibility of severe weather this afternoon and this evening, the early registration scheduled for tonight has been moved to tomorrow (Thursday) from 4-6 p.m.
