  1. SOUNDS LIKE THE FARRGUT ARE STILL TRYING 2 GET STERLING A AWARD.HE DIDNT WIN 5A BACK OF THE YEAR OR MVP OF TODAYS EAST WEST GAME.

Thanks for bringing some measure of reality to all of this. Personal opinion is one thing... reality is another!

    Facts:

Randall Cobb - Alcoa - East Offensive MVP

Brian Marshall - Ooltewah - 7 carries for 92 yards.

Andre Sterling - Farragut - 9 carries for 26 yards.

  2. Andre Sterling got the Toyota Player of The Game for the East

Where did you get that info from?

Randall Cobb from Alcoa was the East Offensive MVP. Marshall from Ooltewah had 7 carries for 92 yards and Sterling from Farragut had 9 carries for 26 yards.

  3. I would like to know something..,..because.I for one do not have a kid playing for the owls and if it isn't going to be worth the trip,I want to know?!!..,..don't need alot of details, just yes or no: do,I need to drive all the way up there and spend money,I don't have? /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

Don't worry Bip... just some folks who think they have the inside scoop, but unfortunately only have part of a story mixed with speculations and rumors... but I guess that's pretty much the standard in our society today.

    GO OWLS!

  4. and all these rumors of foreign substance use is just all the haters trying to discredit a great football player. all i know is that every player on ooltewah's defence better be shooting up twice a day until friday..

What Andre has is a great offensive line and a great instinct to take advantage of that. Please don't start the mud slinging. We've seen enough of that this year. Ooltewah's defense won't need to "shoot up"... just play hard and have fun... as young men should do!

  5. Can you send a few Owls down To GA this week! /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

I hear the Devil hangs out there!

    Just joking! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

This has been a great series for the last 3 years. The years that Farragut dominated on the board was not a true picture of the game. The Owls always play Farragut tuff. I did not get to see last years games but Farragut looked like they were in the game until the 4th.

I will pull for the Admirals by 6! The Ads have more firepower!

Great pic Rig... but you haven't seen "firepower" yet! I hope everyone stays focused on Marshall..!

  6. Having seen both teams play (at WB) Farragut wins this one by 14. I'm pretty sure the Ooltewah team is much better than the WB/Ooltewah game showed, but I don't think they are as good as Farragut.

You're right... Ooltewah is much better than the team you saw!

    As for Farragut... We'll see.

  7. why doesnt he give the kids some playing time/expierence while he can it seems that would be benefical for the WHOLE team. theres some kids out there that are seniors that will never suit up again that would be tickled to death to play at least 1 quarter or contribute, theres alot of hard work and dedication out there by these young fellas.

High School is very special. I'm sure that Coach will give everyone of these young men the opportunity to create life long memories.

  8. The owls will win big....... 38-10

But Benny will keep that starters in till the fourth quarter or maybe even more than that.

only plays 15- 17 players all game.. and he doesn't run the men enough to do that.

    anyways good luck .

Run them more... I agree. "15-17 players all game"... No Way. I know of several that haven't gone past the 3rd quarter mark.

    Forget the "luck"... Great Coaching!!

  9. The Mountaineers have been their own worst enemy most of the year giving up the ball and the big plays. If they can elimiante these problems I can see them playing with any team in this region. They just need to believe they can do it,like all of us that support them. Go Mountaineers

Great Support... Great Advice! The first step to winning is to believe that you are a winner... you will then do the things that cause you to win.

  10. I joined CoachT + just to be able to upload my custom avatar. I am experiencing the same error messages:

    "The error returned was:

The upload failed. Please contact a member of staff to help rectify the problem"

What is the status on correcting this?

p.s... I am within all size limits and requirements.

Why is it that if someone uses inappropriate language they are cut off immediately. but I can't get a response to this?:

"The upload failed. Please contact a board administrator."

  11. Simms is not sure about the other

I know that Ooltewah has other prospects, in addition to Marshall (McReynolds for one), just wondered if it had anything to do with the reporting of stats and who reports them? Ooltewah has had some great athletes over the years... but nobody seems to know about them state or national wise. Mostly what we hear about is the amazing exploits of players in other programs.

Any idea of the players from Ooltewah that have been picked by a D1 school in the last 10 years? /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

  12. dont know his stats but from what i ve heard he s a D1 prospect? know he s not from what i ve seen profiled at all, dont know why either, they ve got the kid from LV and Massey from Baylor and that was it.

How about Benford & Simms from Red Bank... are they listed?

  13. Listen i haven't missed an ooltewah football game in the past six years and yes i went to ohs but my info is not "clouded" im not even talking about the rigeland incident anyway but if you honestly think they the ohs administration cracks down on the football team your very mistaken hear say is not how i form my opinions either i've seen it with my own eyes i hope they win games but your not helpin these guys with getting away with everything thats just what im sayin

What are they getting away with?

  14. Game Day and counting down. Give it your best OWLS, and if that's not good enough..... what am I saying???.... your best is always good enough! /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

    ROLL ON BIG RED!

  15. Owlfanatic, kind of lonely in the cheering section!! Aw, guess everyone isn't onboard with the support the boys no matter what they do, mantra. At least some of the good people of Ootlewah have some sense. Better get used to it, it's going to be a long season..

We are completely "onboard" with him and the OWLS!

  16. i support the few good guys out there but as far as the school i do not support an administration that covers up incidences just because they suit up friday night i'd rather lose ball games and have integrity than win with borderline criminals

    Ignorance is incredibly persistant.

This is not a team of a "few good guys"... this is a team of great teenagers who don't need the ridicule of mean hearted, mean spirited individuals like yourself. Is your life that miserable?

Get all the facts before before you condemn... have a mind of your own instead of being lead by popular belief.

To the young Americans reading this:

    Adults often make mistakes too...

  17. I know many are hoping for a "big statement" game, but I think this will a modest OWL victory. Bradley will not be overlooked, but neither is there anything to gain by blowing up the score... (we'll save that for Farragut and the re-match with William Blount). It time now to focus on the basics and team building.

  18. The play in Question involved Tight end Marcus Bowen who is No. 9 the TE.

    http://www.wdef.com/video/friday_september...ootball/09/2007

You can see the play at the link above. You must let the streaming video play, there is a football game before the Maplewood - Ooltewah.(Tyner vs. S. Pittsburg)

It looks like the correct call. Bowen appears to lose control at the one, as #43 racks him across the arm. But the previous clip is not the right clip. YOu can activate the controls, i.e. the pause button to freeze the frame by moving the mouse on the bottom of the video.

The one thing that stood out in this clip was our "home" TV station highlighting the plays of the visiting team. Nothing about the outstanding effort made by our guys. That shows just how much of an advantage Ooltewah gets from "homecooking". /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
