  1. Let me tell you something pal, we've played a much tougher schedule than you. We've moved the ball on a tougher team than Hampton and put 21 points on them in the first half. You're gonna pay for what you done to us on our home field last year. This Cloudand team is out for vengeance, not the unconfident young team of last year. They will beat your eye balls in and your gonna see it happen first hand. What you done last year don't mean jack, just ask Cosby.

It's going to be interesting to see how the young lads from jellico come out friday night. Will they work harder this week than they have ever before knowing that cloudland is out for revenge as you so put it or will they think that being 5 - 1 causes everyone to fear them, thus creating the big head and not work hard thinking there the greatest since sliced bread. I believe that will be the determining factor of who wins this game. I don't know anything about those NC schools ya played that is supposed to be tougher than hampton 6 - 0 but mitchell is 4 - 3 and avery is 3 - 4 so does that make them tougher. BTW king I will agree with you on one statement you made about last year not meaning jack.

  2. all i have to say is this about the game. those young men from jellico grew up tonight. it was 17 versus 11 on the field at any given time against jellico. it was so obvious that jellico was the better team and the refs needed to keep the score close so cosby would feel good about themselves. i remember sitting there and watching the punter take two steps with the ball tucked as a runner and then right when he was going to get hit kicked the ball and got plowed and a roughing the punter was called. i may be misinterpreting the rule but when the kicker takes steps as a runner they are fair game to be hit. another thing that stood out was when number 24 got tackled for a loss and he didn't like it got up and kicked dirt on one of the jellico players and started pointing a finger at the jellico player and hollered to where you could hear it in the stands the f word and the ref just talked to the boy, then later jellico got flagged for using profanity for unsportsmanship conduct (go figure). let's not talk about the pass interference when the cosby player dove for a touchdown catch with a person no closer than 3 to 4 yards away and dropped the ball. i will say that jellico did get away with a facemask when time ran out and the game was over and an extra play wouldn't have helped cosby win so i guess that evened things up. jellico should be proud of these young men that had everything against them and fought there way to victory, without making excuses. the real question is this, is this a one time occurance or will they play harder than they did tonight. if they want to do something that has not happened before in a school located in campbell county they have to turn it up even more. been researching and have discovered that no campbell county school has won a playoff game. we will see what happens in the coming weeks, will they lay down satisfied with there win or will they strive for more?

  3. and the winner will be the one with the most points, lol. now onto another point, the winner of this game will be one step closer to a playoff spot. gosh i have it going on woo hoo.

the point to the above statements is about as old as reading about cloudland on a cosby/jellico thread. it's over until next year lets move on.

this game between jellico and cosby is going to be a lopsided game, you ask why and i'll give a reason, jellico wants to get back into the playoff picture as in years past (1A, 2A, 3A). who from region 1 can make a claim like that (i could be wrong but don't think anyone else can). has jellico been down recently yes but their desire to get back is seen by the scores of their games. hampton is hampton and that score i threw out the window on the grounds that it can be that bad with all the teams in the region. now cosby on the other hand wants to prove that they still have what it takes this year (but do they).

  4. Unaka is probably the most hated school in carter county in my book.

Why is Unaka the most hated school in Carter Co. Are they a super villain that needs to be vanquished? Just curious.

  5. This is going to be an interesting game for those fine young blue devils. Will they rise to the occasion and beat a team that will be physical with them or will they wilt like daisey's in the desert. Must say that Cosby looked impressive against KA friday night. Will say Jellico takes this in a close contest 28 to 13 (Oh how I hate to give a score).

  6. Remember this folks, sunbright lost 16 to 18 seniors off last years successful team, it's hard to replace that experience. If you give the new coach a chance you will see improvement. If players did quit the team then maybe they didn't like the changes being made and you know how people and kids don't like changes in small communities.

  7. this will be the only thing i have to say about this game. hampton may blow jellico out of the water but hey that's expected from what i have read here. what happens if jellico plays a close game but hampton still wins will officiating be to blame as i read somewhere else. or even yet what happens if jellico wins (i know you folks will say never happen) will it be marred by the hampton faithful making excuses of why they lost? go appy st. oooops meant to say jellico.
