Lunsford called the dogs off at the end. They were on the 3, ready to score with 1:21 remaining and they went into the victory formation and ran the clock out.

I will step out and say that yes this game had several oppurtunities to become a wipe out.. But it wasnt and thats because of several reasons Im sure will be brought out when everone gets home and fires up the puters. But let me go on record saying that Hmaptons # 4 and # 12 is awesome players and tough. I hope these guys are seniors, because if not Hampton will be back stronger next year. These two players are your teams backbone not the Huge line everyone from Hampton has posted about. The huge guys everyone raved about got tired pretty qiuck. Hampton looks like they are a 1st class football team it really is a shame both cant continue. I will look forward to seeing these two meeting again next year.

There's no need to be sour about it, but I do believe we gave SP a game. More than most thought was possible, you included. For our team, the players gave it their best.
