Vegas line is 38 I take South now if that gets to 50 before friday I'll take the cyclones

Elizabethton will make the playoffs unless ewrin beats them. That is a big step with as bad as this team

is, they have a few athletes but not to many football players. The defensive coach needs to get a clue.

His 3 5 or 4 what ever it is could not stop some of the area pee-wee teams from running the football.

Someone said they play with heart, but from what I have seen that is what they lack heart. they are

better with Witten cause with Pless this bunch would not have won a game. The conference is not as strong as it has been the last several seasons. He does need to open the offense some more. From what some of the kids say he really plays favorites on the team, maybe he has brought that college attitude to betsy look for athletes and not players we see how that is working at Vol world. Then baby your athletes and forget about the rest. I hope he matures, he

can be a good coach. I think they let the best Witten coach go to volunteer and it ain't his uncle. A great motivator like his grand dad was back in the day.

Do they have any thing even a prayer. Will the mercy rule be used before half-time.

THS came to play and kick butt. This game was over when THS went 98 yards and took

9 to 10 min. on ther first drive. The game turned on that drive not one play. The score

was only 6-0, but the VIKS were in control. After E had a decent drive no points. The but

wupping was on. 410 yards to 105 yards. This may have been the worst THS lose in school

history. GLEE is right about heart, that is on PLESS's head it will take along time to get

that back. But the problem in the future will be are the players there. I hope he can get

these kids in other sports, and in the weight room. These kids will not hit. That can not be

taught. The fullback position is a huge problem, hope that will be fixed. Linebackers are

a huge problem. D-line does not exist. As Lee said and the heart is gone. On top of this

the men that destroyed things have been rewarded in our system and promoted to bigger

and better jobs.

Go Cyclones play for your pride in your team and yourself.

I hope Orange & Black play well. But I believe THS wins by 35 or more. O & B don't like

to Hit and THS will get after you as always. Wish the Cyclones a big dose of luck and play

hard. I hope I am wrong.

Does anyone think that several region 1 teams may go from 4-A to 3-A.

I have heard that South Greene and West Greene may have to go up to

3-A. This would make a 7 team conference if ti happened. Does anyone

think it could happen and would it be good or bad for the schools.

I hope and pray they do great I only know what has happened on the field and what I have seen from

kids so far this season. They do not like contact and a coach can't teach that. Itero [spelling] Forbes are

fast and will make good backs, but you must have blocks. The whole conference is down this season.

THS will be the team to beat next season. I believe EHS could make a fight for second. South will

lose Phillips. South will get better up front over the next two seasons. JC is down and probably will

not be as good next season. E is on the way up. Coach W will make something out of a sauws [spelling]

ear. Keep that hope and build on it, good things will happen. But the talent still is not there,

some good athletes but not a lot of football players.

If ELiz. wins friday it gives them the inside track for the 4th playoff spot. If they lose

then they have to have a lot of help. E does not have a lot of talent. The soph. class

is not very good the junior class is not real good. Look at there records at Jr. high

and as freshman. If you can not win playing against kids your own age then how are

you going to fare when you are plAying against men. Coach W will be able to make

something by cherry picking these next several years, and building a team. Some

of these kids are good athletes in track and maybe other sports but they are not

football players. They have played a few of the younger kids at FB against The Hill

the FB did not make contact with anyone on 16 of the first 20 offensive plays ran.

The defense all jump on no one hits. This is something you can't teach. It takes a

little something that these kids don't seem to have you have to like contact. We seem

to try and avoid contact. They do at least look like a football team and play like one.

PLAY HARD FRIDAY AND GIVE YOURSELF A SHOOT AT THE PLAYOFFS.

bucdaddio you hit the nail dead on. He has become the same thing he was fighting against,

the problem with him is if it happens to him its bad, but he can do what ever to whom he

wants in the system. Look at the people he has promoted they could not control the sports

they were coaches of. They are some of the worst coaches in the history of the school.

One was the worst hands down. The only reason Coach W is there it was known that he

wanted the job. They hired him to get people off there backs. Coach Dugger will do a

great job and should have been boys coach. Coach D did them a favor they could not

get anyone to take the job. In the paper yesterday I see they let the wrestling coach go

it said he had been there 23 years or something like that. I think everyone knows

what is wrong with ELIZ. sports and it is about 5'7" tall. I think this is what is wrong

with the whole thing. The people that is around him need to go also. They are all a

cancer, its time to operate. I have heard several people who have worked in that system

say that you should never have an opinion and if you do keep to yourself. Cause if you

don't then your days are numbered. That tells you a lot about what kinda people

that would be the boss in a place like that. Talk about not being your own person.

Mr. Lee is correct it will take many years for these kids and the community to recover.

These kids will look back on there high school days not with a pleasantness that they

should have about them. But an indifference! Mr. Holton there is talent there, there was

a lot last year and the staff worked them into a 3-7 team it took a lot to do that.

They will end up in the play-offs this season. I think Coach W will do good enough

and get enough out of these kids to do that. Clear the Hill and school Admin. these

men are the problem. They lie and twist to fit there needs not the kids. They are bad

people. Mr. Ed was a victim in this situation when it started, but it has took on a life

of its own and the situation has become all about him and his crusade for justice.

He has destroyed what he used to love so much and hurt and lied and used so many

people and forgot about the KIDS!!!!

There is a lot that needs fixin. It ain't going to be fixed fast. We forget that these kids whole high school career

has been turmoil and conflict. Mostly over one mans fight for justice and truth. Some of it seemed very right

at the time, but as time has went on they all, coaches that are now in charge and admin. that are running

the show forgot about one small but oh so important thing, THE KIDS!!!! The previous staff destroyed the heart

of these 15,16,17,and 18 yr. olds they hurt them very badly. They destroyed there pride in EHS which has

been seen on the football field and BB courts. Now these folks are running the show. I guess they will

finish what they started. So any one who is mad about things said on this board should blame these fine men in the community. They are the real bad guys, the kids are the victims. Cyclones play for your team and yourselves.

Have pride in you and the guy beside you in Orange and Black. Forget about the other crap!! Wes is not the fastest

kid around, but he has some things you can't coach. He's a leader, he is very smart, he is a very fine young man

He can do the job that needs done, Wes if you read all this crap forget about what some say go play and believe

in yourself and your team. Talent will lose to desire most of the time. Be Cyclones be proud of the.

Play like every down may be the last you ever play and if you LOVE the GAME and your TEAM it will show.

Play for Coach W he knows what it takes, do what he says, he will lead you to bigger and better things.

77 has had some attitude problems in the past and I hope he is a better teammate, but he is playing well

for the CYCLONES. They need to look at there personal and find folks that want to be on the field.

Ones that really want it, not ones that say they want it our defense is not good, or defensive line has

been good compared to the rest of the defense. LB and DB are jumper oner's no one wants to hit.

Offense the FB, is a major area of concern seems to not want to hit anyone. I only wish these young men

could be fixed fast, but they can't because a bunch of adults decided to put there own interests above the KIDS

and it is and has been showing for several years. Why do you thing attendance has went down at the

high school.

GOOD LUCK THE REST OF THIS SEASON. Boys and people don't be so sensitive about things said here

most of these folks do support you and a lot care about you. Because they point out bad things to you

does not mean they are trying to tear you down. It is a community's disappointment not with you'all

mainly with the adults. EHS CYCLONE football is beloved and emotions run strong. This group is not our

best, but they are out there putting themselves on the line every friday. In COWTOWN we slaughter

our own unless you are part of a very select group which most of us are not privileged to belong to,

but remember you can make of it what you want it to be, so make the best of it. Remember you are

CYCLONES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Line does need to learn to block, that is true. I think a lot of the problem is the coach

of this unit. They have struggled since his arrival. May need a change? I don't think

it would hurt. I know the Harrison kid is there, maybe he absorbed some stuff at UT.

That said I also know that not all but as a whole this unit is very soft. They will not

get after anyone. Still think CYCLONES 24-21.

Is #7 the fullback, they have played two games and he has not hit anyone yet. If Carr

can't get a block from the FB then that creates a problem. E is going to have to get after JC

I think they will win if they can match JC's physical play. CYCLONES 24-21 Close game

J.C is not a contender for the MLC title they are a contender for a playoff spot.

Hampton is a very good team, they are single A, but they are good. They still

should not be able to beat a good 4-A team, but they wore JC out. This will say

a lot about both teams chances for making the playoffs. South and THS will have

two of the spots JC, SE, E should contend for the other two spots. So guess this

is a huge game if I am right. JC will be physical, so E is really going to have to

step it up in this area, this team is not physical at all. They are going to have to decide

to strap up the helmet extra tight and come to play hard and tough and give themselves

a chance to win. This may be one of the better games all season I hope both teams

realize this may be the one that gets you playing in NOV. Good luck to both

I think the game went as most thought. E does not have a decent runner and the offensive line

is not very good. QB probably did what he could with not a lot of protection. E will compete with

JC, UC, SC, SN, for the fouth playoff spot. And that will be a very big accomplishment for this team.

Need players not kids who want to were the uniform for family sake. They will have much better

nights this season and they will start believing before years end. Hopefully they will get some

toughness. Play hard Cyclones you will get there. Congrats to Hill and good luck on the Conference

Sched. you all are going to need it. Defense is good Offense will come along to many athletes.

E will do what they can it all depends if they can block the 3-5 with all the stunts and blitz's.

One thing for sure is Hill will be a lot faster than H.V. so this makes that blocking thing a lot

harder.That is what is great about Coach W he will be able to make adjustments, unlike in

the past several years. 2 or 3 seasons ago the head coach said in the paper in week 5 that

the staff was still evaluating talent and the offensive scheme. I know its and on going process

but if you don't know who can and can't play by mid-season then you are a problem. Coach W

will adjust his game plan based on how they block. Hopefully be able to find what works and

stay in the game and have a chance to win. The D has to hit and tackle well, last week they

jumped on a lot not much hitting. GO CYCLONES

I was not saying anything about South and Maryville, I just think they will win the MLC. That don't

mean much in the big picture of the 4-a tssaa playoffs.Unless Maryville is really down no one from

up state will ever make the championship game unless MW or ME has a shot erery 12 to 15 years.

Maryville is just two good.

E-Towns bunch that left in 07 beat them bad their fresh. and soph. years that was the bunch that

won the conference the last two years and South was the best team. Like you said South did it when it

counted and E was not allowed to do when they should have. South will make it 3 in a row I do not

see any one up here slowing Carters Crew. I guess a lot of the faithful wish that you had DB this year.

E is fighting for respect and a playoff berth. That would be a huge accomplishment for this team, knowing

where they came from and knowing where they would have been if a few changes would not have

been made. Most of Betsy is not looking forward to the South game. Good Luck and have a great

Cyclonehorn you are right about last years group. I have a family member whose nephew was part of that group.

He had told me from Pee-wee through 10th grade they were something like 50 to 60 wins and less than

10 losses. He also said they were 4-2 against the bunch that started at D.B. last year. So it does take

more than talent. Coach Witten will do great things at E if they let him and he stays. I cant believe knowing

a little about the history between E. Alexander and Coach W. grandfather that there is no love loss. So I

hope they give him a chance, I dont believe E. Pless will be praying for success either after he and his bunch

about destroyed things. New day I believe he will be 4-6 to 6-4 this year with a lot less talent than in the past

several years. But that says a lot about the Coach and his kids. It will be a good year for them.

One big difference for Betsy in this game from the H.V. game will be that Hill can match there

speed. Betsy is small behind the DL they can run but they did not hit last week saw a lot of

jumping on and riding. Betsy has a few good players S.H. has a lot of athletes. Coach Witten will

make these kids play above there level. He will be a great coach if he gets the support he needs

from the admin. He will take this program much farther than the previous bunch would have.

They could not win with talent. He has a good chance to make the playoffs with not a whole lot.

Before seasons end this will say a lot about him and his team. S.H. will probably win this game

but Betsy will play hard and as a team and for there coach and school. Betsy will have a hard

time blocking The Hill. OL is weak very. One good player and two that will try to get after you.

Right side needs work bad I hope the one they lost during the game last week is back this week

but I do not know if that will help much. Good Luck Cyclones
