  1. All i have to say to this one is "Who Dat, Who Dat, Who Dat talkin bout beatin AE" To much speed, the grass wont be 9 inches high this year. So speed will show, last year Catholics grass was so deep that it covered to the top of the players feet. High grass is traditional of a Double wing grind it out team, big boys, 3 yards and a cloud of dust, but this will be a track meet and I say AE. WHO DAT WHO DAT WHO DAT TALKIN BOUT BEATIN AE!

The first team to use that chant (New Orleans Saints) got their lunch handed to them by a stronger offensive team last night - sound familiar? Catholic by 14!

  2. Well it was closer than the score indicated. We had the ball with the score 21-13 with about 3-4 minutes left and were driving when TC intercepted and returned for 80-85 yard TD. That was the only score for TC in the second half. Total offense---LA-291, TC-269. Like I said, I don't know much about Kingston, but I doubt they are much better than TC. If LA plays like in week 0, they can't win. If they play like week 1, it will be a good game. If they improve a little more, they will win! They have a long way to go to get back to that form! GO BIG BLUE!!

    Good luck this week!

  3. I don't know much about Kingston, but if LA improves as much as they did between week 0 and week 1, I'll say this will be a better game than most think----IF! GO BIG BLUE!!

Oldcatfan - give us something to go on - the score says something different against TC - I'm pulling for LA - want to see them get back to the form of a couple years ago.

  4. I say Watertown two years in a row. All of a sudden everyone is jumping back on the TC bandwagon now that they are 2-0. Congrats on being 2-0 but you have to realize that you have beaten 2 really bad football teams. They may win two games combined between them. Good luck to you but Im going with the Purple Tigers in this one!!!!

Bad or not, anytime you can jump two sizes (A to AAA) and that AAA team in the hands down best region in 3A, you have to give TC credit. LA is having a bad year, but most schools do who have to play the likes of Fulton, AE, Knox Catholic year in and year out will have few wins.

I like the tested TC in this one - close but a win.

  5. I just read that Kat Nigro was chosen for the USSF National ID Camp in California. Will she around much to play HS, with being chosen for the Regional Team and most likely the U15 National Team ? Where is Livingston Academy? near Nashville?

Look for Sam Turner, watched her play, she has speed and talent.

Livingston Academy is in Livingston, north of Cookeville, about an 1.5 hours from Nashville and Knoxville.

  6. Watch this team throughout the year. Going to the 'Boro

The Mercy Rule came into effect after halftime and had a lot to do with keeping the score down to 42-0. I don't think that I would go as far as saying that Dresden is the worst AA team in the state though. The Lions didn't get any pressure on Carr for the most part and the D secondary was totally lost covering our receivers. Those things will need fixing. Opposition speed will hurt Dresden too. Last, the Lion O line needs to pick it up a notch or two too. But, the tools are there in Dresden if they can get it all on the field. Heck, region 8AA will make some pretty decent teams look bad!!!!!

Good luck the rest of the way to the Lions.
