  1. I don't see Forest beating Marion County this year unless Warriors turn it over. Many. Many. Times. Defense is too stout and Forrest won't have the speed to get the edge. IMO Sequatchie Valley goes 3-0 again this weekend. Prediction, Marion jumps up on them then hits cruise control in 2nd half.

    Forest 14

Hmm, any 4a teams from that valley still playing? I will say, MC has been a dominate force in the east for a couple of years. Don't really know what all the seq valley covers.
  2. Backs are much better than in 2015. Last year's success on offense was because of senior offensive line play. This year the team is still having success with a smaller, younger line because they have five different runners that are better than last year's starters. Next year the team should have both, experienced line and very good backs.

I've been on that all year, about the talent level of those underclasmen. And luckily, they are being led by some great seniors. I think the future is very bright in chapel hill, and the next time we would even get a shot at MC, after this year. Would be in cookeville.....

Good luck Friday night Rockets! To all, safe travels!

  3. With forrest struggles as of late, and if those two boys are still injured it's going to be a long night. I guarantee the last two teams forrest has not seen the team that played the other 9 games. If that team shows up I take forrest by 3tds. They will fire some quick points, Meigs will play from behind early. Forrest as of recent though, could be in for a long night. I'm not making a prediction though. I assume it will be a lower scoring game. Good luck Friday rockets! And safe travels to Meigs! It's a haul.

  4. What's the injury sit rep in chapel hill? If all starters are there, limit turnovers, forrest wins big. JC may keep it close till half.

JC may be improved, forrest has too. And this team looks to be much faster than last year. I expect some points to be scored against the youngsters Friday. Wouldn't be surprised for the clock to be running come 4th qtr.

  5. They both played Cascade

    Westmoreland won by 13

    Watertown won by 47

    They both played Community

    Westmoreland won by 8

    Watertown won by 50

    They both played East Robertson

    Westmoreland won by 17

    Watertown won by 44

    They both played Jackson County

    Westmoreland lost by 2

    Watertown won by 30

    They both played Eagleville

    Westmoreland won by 3

    Watertown won by 21

Westmoreland played Trousdale County and Watertown played Gordonsville which are both about the same this year.

Westmoreland lost by 21 to Trousdale County.

    Watertown beat Gordonsville by 26.

Watertown has scored +40 or more points in 8 of 9 games. Forrest held them to 28.

Westmoreland hasn't allowed more than 35 points this year. They held good teams in Trousdale County to 21, Forrest to 13, Macon County to 35 and Jackson County to 16.

Westmoreland has been held to 14 or less in 5 of 9 games. The most they have scored this year is 30 against East Robertson.

Anything is possible because Westmoreland played Forrest to a very close 13-12 game.

But I'm gonna say that Westmoreland's offense will be unable to do anything consistently enough to take the pressure off their defense. If you keep putting this Watertown offense out on the field with decent field position they are gonna get their points.

    Watertown 35

    Westmoreland 13

doesnt mean much, but forrest had 3 td's called back in the first quarter of the westy game.

    Watertown 42

    Westy. 7

  6. Marshall will win and have Home field in the Playoffs all the way up to Championship game in Cookeville.

which could be the deciding factor when catholic comes over. Sitting 8-1 right now is beautiful! And IMO marshall and Stratford "this year" would split a 10 game series. Two fantastic teams. I don't see page winning this game. I predicted at beginning of the season no region foe would come within 3 scores. And if Marshall county's little brother up the street put up 21 on you. Marshall will double that. I'm going to say.... Hmmmm....

    MC 42

    PP 10

  7. I'd say nolensville will probably try and schedule non region games against those 5a/6a schools up that way. Centennial,Ravenwood, Cane Ridge... They are all in a 15 min drive of each other. Then within 20 min they can be at Franklin, Brentwood, antioch, page. Their schedule will be interesting. Williamson county is loaded with talent. Save the school money on travel expenses, and will draw tremendous gate fees for a start up program. If they feel lucky, heck they can go ahead and schedule BA!

  8. If you knew anything about Marshall County football you would probably rethink your statement. MC plays as a TEAM. Every member of the TEAM calls each other brothers. As far as bench depth does, we rotate about 13 linemen,3 running backs and a host of recievers. See you on the 28th.

Didn't Page lose to Forrest? They have completely turned a corner since the beginning of the season!
  9. I'd still take Sonny Moore's poll over the AP poll that's voted on by people who may have seen 1 or 2 teams play that are in the top ten. They don't know who beat who. Hence, Trousdale is ranked and Gordonsville is not.

Like I said, it's a good thing we don't depend on polls for championships.

Probably the reason that Forrest is still behind Watertown is the margin of victory in watertown's games compared to Forrest, and then there's the Moore Co. game for Forrest that messes up the formula.

Quit being so uptight, you're embarrassing yourself. It will all come out in the wash, and the poll won't matter.

+1. Throw in the westy score and the computer says hmm, I'm not a believer yet. Lol. They are great conversation topics though
  10. I'm glad they have found no infractions. Cheating the kids out of an education would be a disgrace. On the other hand, I just looked at their success from the past several years. Why voluntarily stay in 2A? Alcoa could have stayed down as well, but they didn't. That IMO, was classless move to fill a trophy case. Rules are rules though. Good luck the rest of the way Trezavant and fans!
