What is the deal down in Columbia? Coming off of a 10-0 season last year with all everything Fred Sparkman returning as well, how can they be 0-2? I saw them in early August and they looked great. Very fast, physical, good sized 4A line. Sparkman may be the best player in the Midstate regardless of postion and is one of the best players in the ENTIRE state. He's the real deal. But they've been handily defeated twice this year. Franklin looks like they may have somethin goin, but c'mon, 45-14? That's a little lopsided. And Tullahoma has a good team traditionally but I wouldn't have guessed they'd stick the Lions too. Someone fill me in.

Something that I have been told too is that EVERYONE is gunning for Fred Sparkman. They say if you can stop him and block him you will beat Columbia. Franklin and Tullhoma had someone hitting him whether he had the ball or not and of course they had someone blocking him every play. I have also heard that there O and D lines are not as good as last year.

I'll take Lawrence Co. I was not impressed with Giles Co. this year at all. If Lawrence Co. don't beat Giles Co. they are in for a long season

How good is Marshall Co. going to be this year? I have heard they look pretty good but thats it. Have they scrimmaged anyone this fall that is supposed to be good. Just wondering because the last couple of years they have done well.

I do not beleive there was a better Defensive Lineman in Maury County last year than Steven Ackley. Seen him play at Columbia and BGA. Dominated his side of the line. He in my opinion is in the mix of good d-lineman in the mid-state.
