  1. Had sequatchie not used timeouts torwards the end of the game with the lead they already had, i would have respected that, but using timeouts made it obvious they were trying to score as much as possible. It even appeared that the sequatchie offense was trying to get a play off in the 22 seconds they had after receiving the final kickoff, but the clock was running and they couldnt. what good did it do to win by 42 instead of 35? did it improve your jv by scoring on a team that has scored maybe 4 touchdowns all year?

  2. Why did sequatchie go for it on 4th down, every time they had a fourth down, from 6:00 left in the third quarter all the way to the 1 minute mark in the 4th? I am absolutely astounded. Up 35-0 with 2 minutes left in the 4th, sequatchie goes for it on 4th and even uses timeouts after running the ball to give themselves more shots at scoring. Then after scoring, celebrates like they've won the super bowl. Easily the worst sportsmanship i've seen all year. Going for it on 4th and 9 up by 35...

This team will not win a game in the playoffs. Weak offense, other than spurts of long plays, which will not happen on a better team. The defense seemed to be a bit better than offense, but was helped out by a few central turnovers. Enjoy your blowout win and terrible sportsmanship, sequatchie fans, you will be on the opposite end of it next week.

  3. Not so much they got to running, I really cant explain what happened. Boyd had a couple goals off set pieces, and one pk on a hand ball in the box i'm not sure should've been called. But they did dominate, no doubt about that. Central missed on two opportunities where someone could have put the ball in the net, but I doubt it would have changed the outcome much. Hats off to a good boyd team.

  4. Boyd, 8-0. Boyd came ready to play and Central didn't, simple as that.

Nothing to do with the outcome, but wish area refs would learn how to call clean slide tackles. If the defenser slides in front of the ball, away the player, and the player steps on the defenders legs, that is not a dirty slide tackle and doesn't deserve a whistle.

  5. I'm not sure central can score that many on boyd's defense..central does have 2 really good forwards, but Boyd's defense has proven itself all year..I think for central to have a chance in this game they've got to get a 1-0 lead early an try and sit on it, or they'll be chasing boyd down the field all day.

  6. Agreed. I never said my team WOULD win, only my opinion is that they can if they play to their capability..of course, boyd not havin such a hot game would help.

And as far as no defense to good teams..well you obviously havent seen Central play anytime recently. After givin up 5 to a good Lenoir City team, they've given up a total of zero. We'll see tomorrow, and i'll eat my words if i have to, but i do not think boyd will score 'lots'.

  7. Gibson Co. in a blow out again Saturday! 30+ unless the Ref's (WV & MC) do what they did in the semi finals today, if they do Gibson may only win by 15!

I laughed out loud when I read this. I've seen McMinn Central play three games in the state, and felt they got "hosed" in all three games. And now to read this from you, makes me wonder if all teams' fans feel that way. It wasn't the refs that beat Westview today.....it was the disciplne, determination, and desire of the Chargerettes.

That's funny that you have seen them play 3 games in the state since they have only played 2. lol

Well call me stupid for using my brain but i'm pretty sure he meant the 2 from this year and the 1 from last year.

  8. According to coacht schedules, grace went 4-5-2, and silverdale went 2-7-2. I'd call that a cupcake definitely. The guys need those tournaments to see tougher teams before post season comes, I can't think of many successful teams that dont play harder teams durin reg. season to get ready for post season play.

  9. I'm not 'downin' Central soccer, I just want to see it take a turn for the better..the girls program took a step forward this season, with tougher scheduling, and it paid off in the end. Let's see it happen with the boys. No more of these cupcakes..anyone can play easy teams.

  10. I still don't really think Central should be higher than sweetwater or csas until they prove something..so many games lost last year by 1 goal. Prove you can win, and get ranked higher. Till they can get it done, which has always been a lack at central, they won't get too far.

  11. No, thats definitely not correct. In your list, Central tied silverdale, lost to sweetwater, lost to CSAS twice. So why would they be ranked higher? The list should most likely go:

    boyd

    csas

    sweetwater

    central

    silverdale

    grace

    seqouyah

    tellico

    tyner
