  1. Congratulations Indy, you have a heck of a team. It was nice to see so much excitement form your students and fans. You guys took it to us and never let up.. your lines dominated all night! Stay focused and who knows how far you can go.. keep playing like you did tonight and you have as good a chance as anyone to make the big game..

Again, congrats and you definately have earned my respect..

  2. Well guys and gals. Football is back. Or should i say playoffs. I cant speak for Indy, but GHS in the past has been a completely different team in the playoffs. Be it better or worse. The WAVE has nothing to lose if you look at the season. But hey, the season was just practice. And the WAVE has most definately improved since 35-0 against Hunters Lane. Now we are where it counts. I just hope Gallatin can capitalize on mistakes and execute on offense and defense. I am going with the Green Wave on this one. GO WAVE

  3. Well, as we all know the time has finally come. Time to see if your picks are right or wrong. We will play hardnose football like we have been saying. But if you come to the game, you will see a good one. We arent worried about what smyrna did last year, thats the past. We are focused on now, the present. Yea they have some athletic players but they are human they can be stopped. So to all you fans have the faith like we know yall have and come out to the waveyard and cheer on us boys in uniform.

You are right. The time has come. Boys, get out there and fight. Fans, be loud like Gallatins fans should be. It is going to be an exciting night. I can't wait to see the wave play football back at home again. GOOD LUCK BOYS

  4. I sure hope poor little ole Gallatin can hold Smyrna under 100pts Friday night...

poor ole gallatin is gonna come out hard... me being a long time supporter of the green wave, i think that no one needs to dictate the score of two teams that will obviously prepare greatly for each other. Gallatin put down glencliff. is it because glencliff was not a good opponent? Or was it because the green wave finally found team unity. If the wave wins, it is because the other team was sorry. If they lose, then that is because the wave is sorry. I sre hope both teams come out hard. because both teams are gonna need it. Maybe if the wave wins most of the fair weather ghs fans will shut up and start supporting the boys in uniform

  6. Well... In a question of "what we think about Gallatin's defense"... We have to have something to compare it to. Otherwise, it isn't even worth answering. We can't say that this defense is good or bad unless we compare them to a past team. The coaching has stayed the same... The defensive scheme has stayed the same... So there has to be a hole somewhere... Because we definitely weren't giving up an average of 20 and a half points a game last year. You have to compare it to something.

This is also true. The Wave runs the same defense as past years. No doubt the senior team from last year had a great defense. That is why we went 10-0 in the regular season. But from what i saw, they did ot get better each week. Which is partly why the Wave got put out by Ravenwood in the first round. Hopefully this year the coaches will challenge the defense as well as the offense to get better with every day. That is the key to winning a 5A region title for the 3rd year straight

  7. These kids no doubt have faced adversity, with all the talk of the "amazing 42 seniors" that left but lets get for real here people ...how many of these seniors could be on the field at one time? there are 11 men on each side of the ball at all times so for real stop with the 42 seniors ..ITS GETTIN OLD!

Secondly leadership is how you deal with being challenged and how you respond and step up ...yes i appluad Sweat for steppin it up but can he do this week in and week out? if so he might prove very valuable and may indeed add much needed pressure on the quarterback considering the secondary isnt covering a soul on the PASS....

That is one of the truest things I have heard about the green wave defense. The point of defense is to get the ball back. If a quarterback throws a duck, dont kill the reciever, pick the ball off. Hillwood had speed and used it to the Waves disadvantage. The wave seriously let a play go all the way with 9 missed tackles. Not good at all. 42 for the wave has some size on him, why is he not up front with Gleaves.

  8. GAllatin has alot of talent they just need to get it out of their heads tht they are a "young" team.

Time to wake up Fellas this isn't middle school nemore stop acting like deers in a headlight.

It all comes down to who wants it more and if your willing to work for it or not.

So stop acting like FRESHMAN and get your heads outta your butts and PLAY DEFENSE!!!!!

These kids do think of themselves as a young team. They need to wake up and play like Sweat did. He played like a captain should play. These boys know they are not in middle school. You get your head out of your butt and know that these boys want it very bad. after being told they were nothing, they want it even more.

  9. MJ is going to bring it hard against the Green Wave. I have spoken to the Nwokoji kid last year at a track meet and he seems to be on top of his game. With half of MJs formations involving Nwokoji, the Wave better light the fire in the DLines eyes, much like Sweat on Friday night at Hillwood. Josh Green was everywhere, he just did not complete many tackles. Tyler Reed had some good tackles and so did others for the Wave Defense. But letting the Toppers take one to the house while giving up 9 missed tackles is not acceptable of a winning team. for the offense, 67 passing yards is not becoming of a Region competitor either. Gallatin has never been the passing team, i dont expect them to start passing more either. But with good recievers, and strong arms, why not put it in the air a little more

P.S. What ever happened to Jonathan Newbill?

    Go Green Wave

  10. I've watched the now starters stand on the sidelines for 2 years, with the acception of that boo kid, Johntae Gleaves, and Holder. These are just three out of the many kids that now fill the positions of the seniors that left them. The seniors made their mark, but they lost in the first round of the playoffs in the 2006 postseason. Anyone with a brain could tell that there were some bad calls, but that is not what lost the game for the green wave. It was the big headed senior class whom everyone looked to as gods. How many of them started? Maybe 18. But to them, they weree the team. With this standpoint, noone can share a victory if they don't feel like part of the team. Anyways, i was at the game friday night. The wave came out spectacular with a fumble recovery and shortly thereafter a touchdown. The team gets backed up inside the red-zone and 11 punts a line drive into 41s hands. I personally think Lassiter made an honest call by putting a kid with experience in that situation. But 29 seemed to punt the ball 40+ yards every time. Oh well. The kids need to get aggressive on D and need to step up on O. I believe that if we smoothe out the kinks, we will be a successful team. Oh yeah, when did 17 make a good play during the game? If he is good, put him in. And Marco runs like he has weights in his shoes, or like he is tryin to invent a new dance. oh well. Good luck boys.
