    But four Viking penalties thwarted the drive as an 11-yard pass from Barnet to Maki Fleming was not enough as Community punted to the Champs.
    “We were trying to compensate for Cascade’s band with the snap count and we had a new center out there,” Coach Chris Grooms of the Vikings said.
    “We were playing music trying to simulate it, but it’s not the same when it’s going the whole time.”

    A former school principal many years ago tried to get the school board to rename it to Unionville High School.  The people in the Unionville area were not in favorite of it at all.  The school board refused the principal’s request. 
     

    The football program will never be any good until the current Principal and Coach are gone and they make a true commitment to having a good program.    That’s not likely to happen anytime soon.

    I totally agree. This will be a great game. I wouldn’t go as far as saying that they easily take care of Beech minus the turnovers because Beech is a very good team.  Should be a packed house for this one.   Shelbyville 35  Summit 27.

    Smyrna has to find a way to stop the run.  They have had problems in all the games this year.  Smyrna by a field goal.

    Has to find a way to stop the run?  Really?  Smyrna has one of the better defenses around.  Please name one school that gave them problems the whole game.  And don't include the 2nd team after the game was out of hand.  There has not been one team who ran the ball consistently the whole game.

    That school has over 2000 kids. Comparable to the schools they play. McMinnville is not playing the entire town of Murfreesboro. Population in this case is a moot argument. The problem seems to be a lack of commitment in getting a good coach and decent assistants and getting the kids to buy into the system. Rural counties can compete, look at Trousdale Co for example. All we all read about is parent problems and coaching woes. Blah blah blah. Take control of the situation and get something done whether it is at the top or whatever. Jumping on people on a message board is pointless. Just fix it or stay fodder for everybody else!!! Bill Belicheck, Chamber of Commerce really really....good grief!

    I've never heard of the Chamber of Commerce being blamed for a high school football team's lack of success.  That's a new one.
