Ol' Chosen One there ... Well, he wasn't good enough to play on the football team ... That's one of the reasons why he's a little cranky today ... He wishes he could be out there on the field with his buddies that are better than him ...

But he barely made the basketball cut and these last couple of weeks he's actually been getting playing time sine the boys on the football team can't take the court yet ... Now he's upset that after today the football boys come back onto the court to play ... And that pushes him aside and he'll be hanging out with the towel boy on the bench for the entire season ...

It's okay, Chosen One ... Everyone gets their feelings hurt at one point or another ... If you would like to talk about it feel free ... Most of the time it makes you feel better when you express your feelings into words ... Unfortunately I won't be here ... I'm leaving in about an hour to go watch our Rebels bring home the gold ... Some people disrespecting SP speed hasnt seen to much of our playing this year. Besides Trousdale and Friendship who we opened the speed on, the last opponent Hampton get these stats now 52 rushes 427yards, 46 of those rushes were up the gut. I'm no math whiz but we tried to run outside 6 times and gained plenty yards by the way,but why do that when you can flex your muscle and gain huge yardage up the middle and dont give McKenzie any more info!

As it was said earlier ... McKenzie would love to give South Pitt a ticket right up the middle ...

You can run it up the middle all day long ... But that don't mean you'll be movng the ball /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

I look for it to be much like the game McKenzie had with Mt. Pleasant ... But McKenzie pulling away with it a little earlier in the game this time ...

I sure do hope all these McKenzie folks remember how to log back in here after the game. Funny how many Hampton talkers just skipped coming back and went straight to the basketball message boards. If I'm wrong I'll be glad to log back on and say so. But having seen McKenzie, they won't stop South Pitt even once. Unless South Pitt fumbles, like they did against Hampton, its over by early in the second half. And you can disguise that cute little finesse offense with two TEs all you want, but the Rebels are about to get smacked in the mouth.

You're crazy ... I'd bet money he will ... Ol' Comer isn't going to show any sign that he is intimidated, even if he is in the slightest ... As long as our kick off coverage stays top notch like the last couple of weeks McKenzie will have no problem ...

The new video on McKenzie's web site shows highlights from the MP game and has Coach Comer talking about the SP game.. Good stuff. Coach Comer is a class act.

Read a couple of posts about him "playing dirty" on defense but he doesn't come off like that ... Very lucky to have a player such as him on the team ...

Hay Zone that might be nice to see what kind of pressure South Pitt. can take if it turns into a kicking game. With each team having to kick 4 or 5 field goals..................

Our kicker for McKenzie learned from the best ...

His brother graduated in '06 ... Now redshirted by the Vandy 'Dores ...

He even kicked off a couple times this year ... If I'm not mistaken so far once against UT and once agaiinst Florida.

Its true. But he is capable of 60 yds. Sometimes he just gets shook or something when the rush is on. Never know he may hit boomers all night. If you can force them to kick.

If this is true and our special teams keep up the good work they've been doing the last couple of weeks (there for a while kick off coverage was our major weakness), and we can hold SP to a couple of 3 and outs deep in their own territory and get the ball back with good field position ... That'll be a major plus! Can't wait till Friday ...

Well buddy I have to agree w/ the athlete thing as far as MP having better athletes than Mckenzie or any other 1A team that I saw for that matter. That doesnt mean that they had the better team or anything but as far as athletes they are 2nd to none in 1A IMHO.

 

I am not going to sit here and say that their offensive scheme cost them this particular game b/c they were not really stopped all nite.....
