  1. It was announced at graduation last night that Aaron got a $167,000.00 scholarship to Swanee

Along with Puckett, White County has another signee. Stuart Mitchell has signed with Vol State. I think they

will both make White County proud.

  2. Aaron will be attending a very good school and will be playing basketball for Swanee . He is very lucky to be

getting a very good education and also get to play basketball. A very, very good scholarship.

  4. Well everyone is entitled to their opinion. We had many nights where others would score more then Kerry, he has not been as big a focal point to our offense that andrews is to yours.

Siegel Grad you have done one really great thing this year. You have turned people against Siegel that had been rooting for them every year when they went to regions. The boys can't help it but I am so glad they will not be playing any more. You can pick another team to build up and another to tear down. Kerry is good but he is no super star. I don't know how he got MVP over the guy from Lebanon for he was not near as important to his team as the Lebanon kid was to his. I think the boro coaches get together and do whatever they want and pick whoever they want on all district teams.

  5. I could care less as to who you are, but your acting like a jealous little boy who didn't make the team. Your putting Dunn down about ball handling..? Can you even dribble a basketball?

You act like getting a full-ride to Tech isn't an amazing thing... Let me ask you.. Where are you going to play college ball? How many other past players (boys) have gotten a full-ride to a D1 school in the past?

The even more amazing thing is that Dunn is LESS than 6' tall. How amazing is it that he has accomplished so much to be so small? What have you accomplished in life since we are talking about accomplishments?

TROMO wouldn't even show up would be my thoughts on that... I would go as far to say that Dunn might be a better baseball player also.

Before I say this please know that this is no put down but purely for information. You say Dunn got a full ride. Did he not get anything on his grades, financial aid or lottery scholarship? Most players have all these figured in and the basketball program supplies the rest to make for a full ride. Dunn is a really good player. Just a little small for D1 but he sure can shoot the ball.

  6. I dont know if we saw the same game, because Lebanon definitely attempted to penetrate but when you have the length Siegel does its pretty hard to get good shots off inside. Siegel comes out and mops Lebanon a team that Oakland beat by 13 and 9 during the season after they played us tough at their house last time and you try to play devils advocate. Its not Warren Co we were playing. Lebanon isnt a push over and we destroyed them in every single aspect. Coaching, shooting, rebounding, defense, passing, everything yet you try to come up with excuses to why we killed them? You have to be kidding me, I dont know if its ignorance or if you missed some of the game or what but Lebanon played the style of ball they play every single game and got dominated. No excuses for a team to lose by 39 points. I think Siegel is now turning on the switch and playing on a different level then we were late in the season. Hope everyone that can makes it to the district championship, should be a great game, hate facing Oakland when there on a long win streak like they are.

where are all these great -players going to school next year?

  7. Not self distructing. Looks to me like Phargis said, murderer's row last half of the season. Congrats on a good season and to Yslas on a phenominal high school career, and all those that helped her get there.

Does anyone know why Yslas was moved from under the goal. The girl was the key to winning but when she didn't

get the ball the girls lost. The girls team was quite like the boys team last year. They didn't play ball together. A girl could be open and she would be overlooked and the ball thrown to someone else. Don't know these girls but I do know Yslas could have won several games if the ball had been given to her.

  8. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH YYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!! The "SWAMI" is HERE !!!! Congrats to all the worthy winner's of all the district awards handed out today. Everyone has their favorites, but it's hard to argue against the ones that won the awards. The "SWAMI" is looking to improve on his amazing (50-6) regular season district record, but this is "nut-check" time and anything can happen. Let's get to the games of Friday night: White County will make the short trip over to hated rival Cookeville, but the home standing CAVS will prove too tough. Cookeville by 11. My Pioneers will go into the "BORO" and get overwelmed by the Home-standing Stars, Siegel by 40. Blackman will play at Oakland, but the "D" of the Patriots will be too much for the Blaze to overcome, Oakland by 23. And Finally, Riverdale will lose at Lebanon, falling to the Blue Devils by 13 points. The "SWAMI" has spoken !! Read em and weep.

To all of you who pray, please pray for Aaron Puckett tomorrow. He will be having surgery on his knee tomorrow.

This district would have been different if he had not gotten hurt but he will be playing for a very good school next year. We wish him the best that life has to offer. He is a very smart young man with a 3.9 and his act was out the roof also. He is a quiet , nice young man and would never say the ugly things that a lot of posters put on here. He just sees the best in everyone.

  9. Why would people not make alot of Hammonds?? He's the best player in the district... On the best team in the district

I agree with you that Hammonds is the best player now playing but if Puckett had not gotten hurt he would have been the MVP of the district. If he had not gone down against Oakland they could never have beaten Sparta. Puckett has the talent and is a very smart young man. He just had a very bad run on luck. After his surgury he will make some college, wherever the choses to go, a very good player.

  10. Oakland wins 53-40 over White county. Puckett went back down in the 2nd with a knee injury

He gave it his all with boys swinging from him. When he went down he had eight points. White co had 10 fouls and Oakland had 1. late in the game they tried to call picky fouls that would not effect the outcome of the game to make it look more balanced. The game was either 4 or 6 points when he went down in favor of Oakland but its all over for Aaron until college.

  11. Aza...there's no bigger White County fan than me, but how do you figure we win? Oakland did just beat Siegel. I hope you are right.

The way I figure it is that its time Stewart started knocking down his threes, Josh has come on, Cory is just waiting for everything to fall in place and the big man is back.

  12. AAAAAAAHHHHHHH YYYYYYYYYEEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!! The "SWAMI" is here !!! And after a (3-1) Tuesday night ( Congrats to Oakland, no big surprise on their win) , The "SWAMI" now stands at (39-5) for the year. Here are all Friday nights winner's : Siegel will thrash my Pioneers. Siegel by 33. White County will lose at Oakland , enough said, Oakland by 18. Cookeville will get the road victory at Blackman. Cookeville by 11. And finally, Lebanon will invade the "BORO" and beat Riverdale by 7. The " SWAMI" has spoken !!! Read em and weep.

SWAMI I think you have made a BIG mistake on the Oakland, White Co game. I think the warriors are going to come home happy.

  13. Unlike you, I have been right here on Coacht every day. I posted a comment about the game on page 24 of this thread. I'm not gonna get too down about the game because our best player{Puckett} is still out with a knee injury and White County has DOMINATED Cookeville the last couple years. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Looks as though he will be ready to go on 1/16. With the experience that some have gotten during his injury they should be a really good team by tournament time. We're looking for a sub state at home this year....... Don't count White County out yet.

  14. I thought he had ACL surgery today and was officially out for the whole season? /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

    What's up?

He did have surgery yesterday but when they got in there it was not as bad as they had thought. Talk about a good Christmas present this young man got the best. They did what they had to do, I don't know all the details yet, but they cleaned it up and hopefully he will be ready to go again in about a month. Still enought season left to make for a really good second half. Dr. Roberts had told him that he would be out for the season but got a pleasant surprise when he operated. A lot of prayers went up for this young man and still do for a full complete recovery.

  15. While I was scrolling through the Tennessean scoreboard, I noticed where Lebanon defeated Cookeville 88-87, in what must have been one heck of a game. X. Smith led Lebanon with 25 and C. Nunley netted 14. Cookeville was led by J. Akers whopping 36 points, M. Hill had 15. Looks like the ole "SWAMI" is in for one hard year of predicting outcomes in the rugged 7aaa.

Look for some surprises in White County if Puckettt really is going to get to come back.

  16. Ok. Calm down you copycat swami. Ha! /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />

Any truth to the rumor that he injured it dunking the ball in practice? /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

He did. I don't know why he doesn't dunk it in games unless the coach just doesn't want him to.

  17. Good question. I don't really know how bad it is. I just know it was injured in practice and he didn't play this past Friday against Independence.

    I thought ESPN's Chris Berman was the "Swami". /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

Very serious....Lets hope and pray for rehab and not surgery. He really bruised and tore it up. This was his year to show just how good he is and has been and now it looks as though he may not get the chance. His mother did the same thing to her knee when she was a senior in high school. She had surgery and went on to play college ball. So sad when you invest so much of your life into something and something like this happens. Torn acl

  18. who are the favorites out of each region to make it to the state tournament? who will win the a/aa state crown? and the best individuals who will win their individual regions that will most likely take home the state championship? any opinions or predictions out there?

i just know middle tennessee and the best teams that could move on are cpa or goodpasture the other region dekalb and maybe portland?

Dekalb County is on their way to the state. They won their region today with the top two medalist Payne Denman shot a 68 and Austin Garrett had a 72. They beat Station Camp by 1 stroke.
