Workinprogress, call it what you want. We expected more from the highly ranked 3A East Nashville team. Some things I don't understand. 7 total yards, woefully underprepared on special teams appearing to have never seen a good kicker, best play of 4 yards. I guess with your philosophy, East can mail in the playoffs because you will have to play a good team two weeks in a row. While our talent had a great deal to do with the outcome, East needs to look inward to figure out what happened last night.
Good luck with the rest of the season. I hope you finish strong.
Beware the splinter in my eye and worry about the 2x4 in your eye.

We expected more from a Christian school. What happened to humble. Your pride is going to cost you.
I miss the religion of my youth.

TPS
Former boys prison
Visitors locker. The big tree behind your sideline
All the "cow pasture" area is old no man's land for rifle towers
Said to be haunted especially house next to visitor locker room.
Happy Halloween.

What? You sound like u hate Pearl-Cohn dude chill out. At the end of the day I could've said bout time East beat Pearl-Cohn! But no I'm trying to give respect to the real East fans and not the silly ones like yourself. So chill out buddy before I hurt your feelings.
You are correct. See you next year.
-
Pearl-Cohn fans stand down let's give East there credit! They beat us far and square we are Pearl-Cohn we don't make excuses. East good job y'all came to play last night and won the game I can respect that. Goodluck the rest of the way take down CPA so both East and Pearl can shake Cookeville.
This kind of elitist/delusional attitude will get you beat again in 2014. (Giles Co.)
East doesn't need or want PCU's affirmation. You were out coached out manned and out conditioned so "nip it."
-
Chill guy! The only mistake they made was the snap over the punter head.
Punt over head=0-7
Int=0-14
Fumble=0-21 holding penalty voided td
You must of been at the wrong game.
-
East took advantage of mistakes and ca me out with the win. But to say yall are better I don't agree with that. I agree that y'all was better that night but that's it. 9 more times please now u not being honest. But hey East won congrats on the victory. You have FRA next so we back to work.
Dude, East tried to spot you 21 points. Pls, don't mention mistakes.

Good Luck to PC freshman today against Cane Ridge...City championship
Ya'll win?
Time for the main event! I hope it's an injury free game that's not decided until the final play.

We get upset, because we have a proud tradition at PEARL-COHN. My dad attended Pearl High, which has their own place in history. I can't go around bragging about how Pearl won a state basketball title in the 60's. But I can brag about back to back State Football titles, why, because PEARL-COHN won those. WIP, I also said I love my school, so that is why they will win.
Why is your love so much more powerful than your opponents love for their school? Love has nota to do with this game unless you are a ref and can control the outcome.
-
We love being the underdogs! Pressure on East now.
When have y'all been an underdog vs East? NEVER. PCU propaganda machine at its best.
Every year PCU has some bs propaganda to motivate team. Coaches need to quit making crap up.
-
East needs their own field. This game would be better if played on their home field. I don't know if a real home game would help East but it would be better than a neutral field. I bet Pearl won't look to play east on a neutral field next year.
Money talks and bs walks. If the money is there PCU would play at a neutral site.
-
Where's all the East Nash people at? I guess we said everything on that Maplewood message board.
Ya'll did. Until East shows that can play with PCU there is nothing to say. It's never been close.
-
Not sure what part of that you think is "laughable". Does the truth seem funny to you somehow?
Also, if some people on here understood that what I said applies to every aspect of life then I would not have to remind them.
Maybe you ought to worry about keeping your boy's nose clean over there at CPA instead of being the long time listener, first time caller to the Mr. Obvious Show. How bout you take your one bullet there Barney and do the right thing for yourself. BANG
The part that is laughable is that you actually think you know what is going on inside metro schools. You know what everyone already know knows.
To tell someone to commit suicide shows you picked the wasted talent aspect of life.
CPA, again, laughable comment. If you only knew the truth.
-
Drknows, your 1st paragraph is laughable. The rest of your post is in every aspect of life not just football. Maybe, dr obvious is a better screen name.
-
You are right about one thing. The majority of metro coaches would love to have the athletes that Pearl has! Hillsboro, Cane Ridge and McGavock may be the exceptions to that. I would put Overton in there buts it's just a matter of time before the big man works his magic if the head coach doesn't get in the way!
Would that be the same "big man" that use to work his "magic" at PCU?
-
CM...you get it. It all starts up front for CPA with the run game. They have solid RBs but an extraordinarily well coached OL.
Most High School teams with great running games have extraordinary RBs that make incredible plays based on their athleticism. East came into last weeks game averaging close 250 yards rushing per game. They had at least 3 backs including the QB that were approaching 1,000 yards on the season. Yet as a team they had 36 yards rushing through 3 qtrs while CPA rolled up over 200 yards rushing and a 31-0 lead.
CPA has a better scheme on offense and defense and played with more discipline. East had more speed, wiggle, and athleticism at RB and matched CPA's size up front yet got dominated at the point of attack on both sides of the ball.
1. 3 fumbles, on the 50, due to poor ball security. 2. Wet track took away the "speed, wiggle, and athleticism" especially vs DL with wingspans of seven feet. 3. Field position create by adequate pass coverage and excellent special teams.

One thing Alabama can't do is out recruit CPA! I'm pulling for Fairview in this one. Shocker i know!!!
The best recruiting CPA has done is in the recruitment of their coaching staff.
-
Just like everybody else has had to do, you have to experience it in person to get a real good sense of what you're up against. Even Alabama looks beatable on film.
Sadly, you are correct. On cd they look soft and lethargic in reality they are methodical and coached very well. Watch auburn vs Georgia to get a look at the offense CPA runs. The OL is not overly physical but their position blocks create nice lanes and the power is like a phalanx formation. The DL plays gap control very well allowing the lbs and s play very fast.
Fairview vs east would have been a better game. Your bear crawl DL is cute but will be ineffective vs CPA. Yor OL is going to have problems especially with your foot to foot splits.

Ahhhh. The One Bullet Wonder joins in. Are you that dirty double nickel's math teacher? Neither of you are very good at additions & subtractions....
I never was a good shot.
-
So you're implying that since Pearl Cohn's fans talk smack and are confident that will relate to a win on the field? Do the fans dress out? I'm a little confused by your response.
nope, I am agreeing with your post in that players control the outcome of the game. now, you do the the math.
-
Yeah, because what the fans have to say really has an effect on how the game turns out. You do realize you have nothing to do with your teams success, right? It's the players on the field that control that.
that's why giles county has zero (0)% chance of winning this came much less make it close.
-
Doesn't Westmoreland get in a more favorable quad and higher seeding if they lose to cheatham co.?
-
1. The 1st 2 pages of this thread are obviously by non East fans.
2. Quit trying to provide motivation to your team by playing dumb on the forums.
3. I expect East to win 19-14 on last drive.
-
"I've never heard of you guys."
Come on now. I know better than that. We're one of those private schools that goes around to all the pee-wee games and signs up 8-year-olds. We have Jake Locker's first three boys committed and they haven't even been born yet.

No, your beating your chest and pointing out other faults. I would expect better from a Christian school.
Good luck to your team. Let East worry about East's faults.
