  1. sounds like a hendersonville player to me you know the one's who did not make the post season

There is no need to come on here and bash Hville man. I think SC earned that win over Hville, but I don't think you guys are as good as you think. If you came and played 5A, I would like to see how good you did (here is a hint, no playoffs)

  2. Yes they are talented, but the question is will they execute?

If they do they will be number one in their region. Lets hope they come together as a TEAM.

Yes I do think they will have the best team in the region next year IF they play as a team and don't care who gets the credit or the stats.

  3. The Eaglelettes are "just a squirrel trying to get a nut". Gallatin is a great program! IHS should be the underdog until they prove they can beat a team that's not from a "weak region".

All you are trying to do is make Indy seem weak and pathetic. We all know they are not, if they were they wouldn't be region champs. Quit playing the underdog junk and just talk about how the these teams match up.

  4. Franklin's defense has proven themselves over the course of the season.

They stopped J. Seward at Hillsboro (yes, it was only 3.5 quarters)

They held Pettigrew from Indy to 26 yards (he's done much better against almost everyone else)

And, they stopped Hillsboro 5 times... yes, 5... inside the 5 yard line. That setup the Rebels' 99-yard game-tying TD.

This defense is legit, and has proven to shut down great RBs from your region in recent playoff seasons (Lamarcus Coker, Preston Brown - both from Antioch)

Coach Webb will have his defense ready to stop White.

Just because you shut down Antioch a couple of years ago, it doesn't mean you can shut down Overton's running game this year. Do you still have the same D playing that you did back then? If not, then this doesn't mean a whole lot. Expect White to get a ton of carries (around 40) and pile up a ton of yards.

  5. Has Hendersonvilles schedule been set for next year?

I'm pretty sure it will be the same as last year. I know they play Station Camp in their first game and they will never drop the Beech game, so the only one I'm not 100% on is if they are playing Dickson County.

  6. No, Hunters Lane and Antioch are not good football teams. They are very average like most of the Metro teams this year. Antioch lost to both Riverdale and MBA very soundly early in the season and I don't consider either of them a great team. Both Hunters Lane and Antioch have a few strong individual players but they loose the big games due to very poor special teams play.

John Overton may very well win this game but their fundamentals are poor and they are not a sound high school football team.

I'm willing to bet that if Antioch has its QB in those two games, they win one of them.

Are you saying that MBA and Riverdale aren't great teams? What does it take to be considered great in your opinion? They are both undefeated and look like be could win state champs.

  7. Agreed. this might be one of the most talented to come through hendersonville since the class of 01...expecting BIG things from you boys

They could indeed be the most talented class in a while and have a very good year, let's just hope they keep it all in perspective and remember that this is a team game, its not all about individual talent. The team a few years ago that went 3-7 was similar to this group talent wise, but they seemed to all be playing for themselves and look what happened.

  8. I would like to change my prediction for this game G-Town by 6, Independence will not be ready for this type of game. /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" /> /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />

Wow that is a big change, what made you change your mind on the Indy team being ready?

  9. Looking at some of the stats for Independence I see that Indy really likes to spread the ball around. The only thing consistant is Pettigrew with 157 carries for 1014 yards and 16 tds. The best stats I have for Heckman are 35 of 53 for 601 yards. He will also run just enough to keep you honest. Issac Baugh is the leading reciever with 29 catches for 449 yards. But he is by no means the go-to-guy. Parker, Reese, Veres(who looks to be a huge play reciever), Consigilio, and Pettigrew are all getting balls thrown there way. Pettigrew out of the backfield is very dangerous for a defense to cover. Consigilio is getting some touches running the ball as well. From what stats that I have it appears that Indy is averaging about 171 rushing yards and 113 passing yards per game. On defense Consigilio is leading the team with 121 tackles. It appears that you really have to concentrate on stopping Pettigrew while hoping your defense won't give up the big play from the Indy passing game. Very, very tough to defend. Pettigrew has run absolutely wild on some teams(209 yards and a couple of 170+ games) and also has been shutdown by some (12 for 45,17 for 51, 8 for 15).

It will take a great effort by the Green Wave to slow down the Independence offensive attack. But it has been done. The Gallatin defense must really step up their game if they don't want it to be a blowout. The kicking game appears to be close. Not sure of Ingham's fieldgoal avg. but I know he has only allowed 4 balls to be run back on kickoff returns all year. And he has hit at least one from 47 yards out.

Biggest concern for me is from the coaching standpoint. The style of play that Brentwood, Ravenwood, and Franklin play is just like that of the Eagles. And those 3 teams have been very successful against us the past 6 years. If Gallatin and Lassiter choose to go ultraconservative like the past, then it could be a long night for the Green Wave. I don't know if our defense can hold them all night without us putting up multiple points. Independence has come back a couple of times from being down in the 4th to pull out the win so Gallatin will not be safe anytime after the whistle blows. This is going to be a tough ballgame but not impossible if we play good ball.

I think this will be the playoff game that Coach Lassiter finally opens up the playbook and takes some big shots. After the criticism he took last year in the Ravenwood game, he has to do something or there will be some people calling for his job.

  10. first off....hville before you get on a message board and talk smack...learn how to spell...no one wants to hear about " white" or "jackson" .....because even though franklin's offense has been taking hard hits on coacht ...they are obviously getting the job done... and now more then ever we are coming together as a team. givin you have 3-4 good players you have still lost more games then you have won....and thats a factor in its self right there. and besides REBEL D SHUTS EM DOWN

franklin by more than 1 TD

What are you talking about? I assume you meant to call out Bobcat. But anyways, you WILL lose because you CANNOT stop White, bottom line.
