I think the coaches at Wb are a great group of guys. The only ones I have been coached by are Doug Garner and Justin Emert and I love them two to this day. Emert is a class act. He will always have my respect. I just hope the best for the Govs and to remember how long this school has fought to get where they are now. Go Govs and God bless!!

Wow, I did butcher that one. Sorry guys. I was falling asleep, and I got on one of my Maryville kicks. I think every point I tried to make is true. So if any of yall think they are crazy lets discuss them, or maybe i could better explain myself since that post isn't the easiest one to read.

ok wb will win by a couple td's at least. qnd for the whole maryville thing withthe cross burning and stuff.. ha maryville kids our a bunch of lil rich kids that dont even live in maryville. they think b/c they can tote a rebel flag that makes them country espically while they blast their rap......and maryville would be good in 5A well for the first year or two.......what would get them is when they play a clsoe game every week and they dont have the lead to throw in their young guys. so when their young guys get ready to play their senoir and junior years they will have no experience. did i mention i cant stand maryville. oh yeah and george quarles whew do i really need to get started. if he is such a great coach lets see him go to a school without any support, money, or players and make a state chapionship team. dadgum i mean he steeped into a school witheverythin he needed to win. so until he can go to a heritage or karns and make them a great team he still isnt listed as a great coach in my book. but back on topic, wb. william blount def has all the weapons topull out this win. we just gotta start our clicking and not let bearden jump to an early lead. see yall friday night. if we win does that mean we play farragut at wb again....man o man i cant wait to see that one. i say have cole lail shadow sterling all night. if we shut him down faragut is DONE!!

ok i know db @wb was a while back but after watching wb play db and knowing db has only lost to bearden i dont think the region 1 teams are as tough. i am seeing maybe a 3-1 for region 2. hey but who knows. it all depends on who wants it more b/c the playoff games are completely unpredictable.

i totally agree with just about all of the above. granted a ref cant see everything but dont call something that didnt happen or look over certain stuff. its a shame when the sideline ref dont call a penalty such as holding when it is right next to him and another ref has to come in and call it... and with the putting certain refs at certain gamnes i am totally for that. its a shame that at a william blount game the visiting teams refs where officating. hummmmmm.... whats up with that. not gonna mention any names but it sure looked good to me.

not to be a butthole but that was actually 4 years ago. it was the 03 season. it woul dhave been the senoirs from last year i do believe. just to verify i aint trying to be a butthole

WOW! i dont know whose fans are more annoying maryville or farragut. Could we start a new topic and discuss the two. maybe even have a poll. I really hope Wb gets to play farragut again. I would hate to hear the excuses they would come up with.

as for 4a i really havent watched to much. I dont think maryville has the team they have in the past but they will get deep and maybe even to the big one.

and 5a. william blount is strong. farragut is strong. i dont think farragut has the total package. sure they have a good run game but thats about it as far as i saw. sure they beat william blount by 1 point woohoo. that was probably the worst defense we played all year. we were hung over from maryville the week b4 and they had a bye week. william blount to state and farragut is out the 2nd round

What does Oak Ridge present? I havent had a chance to watch them this year.

William Blount needs to bounce back from the past two weeks. We played a good game against Maryville. Now Farragut is a different story. We got our rearends handed to us. Great call to go for 2. Giving it to Garner on the edge. That was sorta predictable. naked boot would have been beautiful. oh well its oak ridge now and i aint the coach.

If we can come out and tackle like we know how and get some penetration i think we will do fine. we gotta do a little bit better on the coverage. last week farragut got us on that little stop route everytime.

We need to win to keep us a top contender in the region. I think if we win we could still be no.1 or no.2 in our region.I tihnk if we lose we may end up no.3 I think we are easily better than that. We will have to see Friday night.

no halftime is usually 12 min i believe. i think if the band cant split the time and be done in 12 min then they dont need to play. its a football game not a band competition.

farragut really impressed me but what impressed me even more is the way william blount tried to tackle. football is tackling and blocking and we simply did not tackle. that sterling was alot better than i gave him credit for. he dont let silly little tackles take him down. i am glad wb went for 2. dont agree with the play call but at least we had a pair and tried. good job farragut. you have a pretty good team. time to move to next week.

oh and the crowd. it was a whole different atmosphere from the maryville week. felt like we were dead. well we gotta see how next week plays out. just as important as this past game if not bigger. good luck admirals on the rest of your season.....wow i sound like a farragut fan....GO WB

here's the thing. when Maryville moves to 5A they will still be good. They just wont be a powerhouse like they are in 4A. MAryville wil take about 3 or 4 years to really feel the impact. Once they arent able to play their young guys after the 1st quater every game and those young guys become juniors and senoirs w/o any varsity experience. thats how maryville stays good year after year. its b/c their players already have plenty of experience. it will be a different story when they gotta fight to win every week.

brandon100 you are right. maryville fans are so blind. they dont see the big picture. if they are so good and believe they are so good they can request to move up to 5a where they should be. no matter how hard you try you will never get through to them. its a huge bandwagon with no windows.

Ok last week is over. It still makes me sick to my stomach but its time to focus on this week. Its a region game. I havent really kept up with Farrgut much. I know they are supposed to have that stud RB, sterling or whatever. Is that the only weapon they have? I went and watched the Heritage/ Farragut game and Farragut really didnt impress me much. I didnt rule them out though. It could have been they were just playing at Heritage's level. I think Wb has got this one from what I have seen. We dont give up. We need to put a little more offense together and get them kicks from being anywhere close to questionable but I think we can come out on top.

maryville...one the the best in the nation....HA!!!1 the only reason they are ranked high is b/c their win percentage. heck the teams they play are pitiful. the have one or maybe 2 tough games a year.

This was a great game. Well it was until the last few minutes of the game. Maryville couldnt put the ball in the endzone except for the two big plays the came away with. Maryville was in the redzone numerous times and could not capitalize. The hook and ladder was perfect, a great play call ran to perfection. needless to say if it werent for some questionable calls maryville would never have been that far up the field in that situation anyway. WB is the better team no matter what the score says. we stopped their offense, special teams, and drove the ball all night long. Too bad we dont have the chance to meet them again. Maybe one day they will play in the correct class and maybe we can play them more than once.
