How long have these coaches been in place?

Smyrna won't have to worry about playoffs this year because they are not going to make it. IMO, Smyrna will drop three of the next 4 and maybe all four. So they will be at home the first week of the playoffs. You smyrna fans need to quit living off last year and figure out how to get in the playoffs this year.

If by saying Antioch was "actually" a good team, you are refering to Region 6 as a bad region than you are wrong. Region 6 has been the best region in this state for the past four or five years. I also wouldn't be so quick to say DC will win out.

Are you serious that this is the best region in the state? Its a joke compared to region 4. The sad thing is some team from west of Nashville is going to make it to the state championship game only to get killed.

Is the new guy at Portland one of his assistants or is he an outsider?

I have only been following football in TN a short period of time. It is clear to me that this is the top 5a region in the state, making it the top region overall. It is definetly the most competitve.

Coach Perry went to Mount Juliet is what happened. Look at the rise to success of the Golden Bears and the demise of Portland. Coincidence or completely related to Perry's departure?

Does Portland still have good talent, just no guidance?

They are the new 5a power in East TN.

Didn't the defending region champs just beat Northside two weeks ago. I expect Northside to be in the playoffs this year, but right now they're sitting at #3 in the standings.

Northside outgained them 2-1 maybe 3-1, they just turned the ball over too much. It was a lucky win for the defending cheaters.

Covington is only going to win maybe two more games. The last two years they have been to the semifinals and the quarter finals. The gridiron club will not stand for this.

Why are these teams winless? Are they traditionally bad teams, and if so why?

I am going to go with Northside. They are probably the 2nd best team behind Henry Co., who I have not seen.
