However, I do believe they needed that game last week to show that they still had to execute, and you don't win by simply walking on the field. You still have to give your all, from the coaches down. I agree with you on the I.

I think the game against Westmoreland deceived alot of people. Beating a bad team can be misleading. You may think you're in better shape than you are.

I believe SC can relate. I think they were in the same boat last year after their game with Cheatham County.

 

As far as Friendship goes, maybe some of their posters can answer a question for me.

How come they only dressed two freshmen. Surely there are more than that over there.

There has been a large number of upcoming freshman and sophomores to leave.

(#2 did as well...probably justifiable...tough call for the ECO to make)

# 5 walks over FCS QB and steps on his hand...saw this personally, it was obviously on purpose

# 9 played hard with injury...kids got guts...and late hits

 

The names you enblazen as the backbone of your programs...not a very good showing IMO

Oh yeah they got their stats...for sure...something really to be proud of...

 

I just love the win at all costs mentality from these successful* programs. Man up! Admit there are underhanded things that take place and then go win your championships*! (note the asterik)

If that is what you heard & saw, well you were not close enough to see your parents hitting our players in the chest with their fingers yelling they suck as they were trying to get in the locker room. Not only did your adults do their chanting and yelling, they put their hands on our boys!!! Oh yea, lots & lots of class.

Wheather you want it to or not, it does reflect on your program. I am embarressed for you if you are that ignorant. You have a good football team & it's a crying shame that there are TC parents & fans

like that to tarnish the boys win. You can be proud of your boys without slinging insults to the opposing teams kids, coaches, & whoever else you want to just because you can.

I remember the same thing happeneding in TC last year during the play offs with a group of TC parent & fans last year. GREAT TRADITION to CARRY ON! Nice reflection on your program.

Jackets win!......AGAIN!!!!!!

 

Jackets, led by #5 Seay, pounded the green fellers once again. Green fellers lost their composure,

reminiscent of WHH. #54 & #2 couldn 't handle losing very well. Threw a big fit on the field. #54

was taken out of the game to prevent getting ejected, couldn't keep quiet, # 2 should have gotten the

same. Not a very good display of sportsmanship.

Great job Jackets...keep it up.

 

I thought I was done until I read this. You are going to call out numbers on our team? Seriously? Your boys got in plently of cheap shots. Want to talk about trying to twist ankles and arms, and stomping on hands? How about clearing out the water table after running a player 5 yards out of bounds?

The thing is your team is good enough to win with class. You might want to avoid any more character dissusions.

Well GRUNT, looks like your a class act. Sportsmanship?? OK, I want talk about all the cheap shots taken at our QB, punching him when he was down, tackling him from behind when he was on DEFENSE, or running him out of bounds and into the water coolers. If the SPORTSMANSHIP that I saw on & off the field is the tradition & glory, well more power to ya. Bet you think the coaches daughters deserved to be cussed out too!!! Oh yeah, lots of class shown last night. TC fans should be real proud.

It was ugly, to have a group of adults taunting our football boys, yelling "you suck" at our kids, yeah you can say that it got ugly. Just leaves a really bad taste in my mouth that our boys were treated with such disrespect. Thank goodness there were some police officers there to help our boys get to the locker room!!!!!!!

I have to say, I could not believe the TC parents cursing the FC boys as they came off of the field! Those moma's were acting as if they wanted to fight our kids!?!?!?! Our boys didn't deserve that

Did FCS get a new helmet for the young man who got his knocked off in the first game? That could have been why the other players did not get many touches cause they say what happend to him and were skeered! I have no doubt of the ability with which both teams can play, I question the execution on the part of the boys from wilson county. Once you have been man handled by an opponent, (and yes they were man handled from the first play) the doubt that creeps in when you face that opponent again can propel you to victory or leave you crying for your mama!! So the real question is can the young men in green and gold handle the mental whooping laid on them after the first game or will they fold like a "sweater vest" on the shelf at Dillards?

Don't know what you are smoking dude, but you need to lay off. After the first TC boy missed the tackle, it took about 7 of those TC boys to take down the young man.

TC folks seem a little over confident on this one. Seem to all be talking in the past.

TC has a good football team. There are A LOT of people think that our FC has a good football team. I am putting everything on the FC boys!!!!! Sorry, but that is just how I see this one playing out. Nobody can sit up on that big pedastal too long before someone comes along & knocks you off. And, hate to tell you boys, but that is what the FC boys are coming to do Friday night!!!!! It's our turn now!!!!

And, you are right FC has players that have proven they can help shoulder that load offensively. Now that we are down to the grindstone, I think you will see coach mac go to those guys and we all know who those guys are

Lee Maasen is an athlete. He should have a very good shot at the 2A Mr. Football back. He brings a lot to the table for Friendship Christian, no doubt about that. Lee comes to every game for the W. You just don't see kids like Lee too often.

With that being said, Friendship does have the athletes that could spread it out. If and when those guys are used to help pull the load, this team will go from being a good football team to being a football team going for the gold. Just my opinion

Let me just tell you, this is going to be a good game. I was reading some more in my Murphy book about these teams. Trousdale has several lineman returning that are capable of knocking big holes in that line for those runners to run through. My book says that Ford kid is back. It will probably be hard for Friendship to knock a hole in his side of the line. You thinking I am joking, cause I'm not. Everytime I have come to that durn creekbank, my Pirates have not done too well, but those ladies at the concession stand always give me free water in my Thermos to mix my hot cocoa with. Good luck to both teams. Let me know if anyone has any questions about these teams and I will look it up in my book and get back with you very quickly.

Gville scored right b4 the halftime. Tigers left their game at home tonight. Sooooo many missed tackles. As for the personal fouls. What can we say. It happens every year. The commodes just bring out the ugly in the Tigers. It wasn't purty. Tigers looked lost most of the game.

The tackling was the worst thing.

So many times Maasen was hit in the backfield only to get away and get a 20+ yard gain.

The Maasen kid don't go down easy! He never has & never will, that's just Lee He has been that way since grade school.

Well you must have a bad memory because the one that wore the ref shirt last year wasn't even there. Another thing you and your other players were walking all over the place and we wasn't the only ones who said something about it. Yes! I have a big mouth and use it when ever I please as long as our boys and girls don't mind who cares what you think. I bet you or anyone else want tell me to my face.

Congrats to Clay County. I think our Friendship boys certainly played them a good ball game. With Boyd getting in foul trouble early, certainly didn't help.
