  1. OK, alot of misinformation, PH included.

    1) The TSSAA does not "clear" players. Lucky Charm is either making a false statement to misdirect the heat from the coach, who is 100% responsible for eligibility, or is so consumed with winning that anything that gets there is ok.

    2) Stone Memorial is so consumed with the fear of losing that they have pushed the envelope. They are as consumed with winning as Catholic. They actually benefited from Catholics cheating more than Catholic because they get a cake walk to the Region. Neither them nor KC wanted to play Anderson County in the first round.

3)The parents that get on this board and justify, or like Stone Memorial try to get an advantage from cheating, should be ashamed. KC wrestling coach, yes, fire the coach or at least suspend him for the district tournament.

This is a sad situation for the girls because they see where the coach, ad's, parents' priorities are. Just win baby. Is it worth it? Don't glorify this situation, or make excuses. Lucky Charm when you elevate this program and coach who have really on had any sucess for the last 2 or 3 years you cheapen the teams that do it the right way. What do you expect Lucky Charm?

  2. We are still in it. We play Kingston again tonight to see who will play either AC or Stone Memorial Thursday night. The girl in question will not play the rest of the season. She attended 5-6 practices at Hardin Valley this summer, even though she had not enrolled in school there yet. The TSSAA cleared her to play at Catholic, so I guess we thought everything was a go. They are still trying to figure who we will play Thursday night.

Actually, the district has decided to keep the seedings the way they fell.

AC-1 plays winner of 4 (CAK) and 5 (kingston)

    Stone-2 plays Catholic (3)

Although, the district finishings have CAK 3rd, Kingston 4th, and Catholic 5th.

TSSAA has told the district that it is up to the district how they want to seed the tournament. so tonights play in match is between Kingston and CAK at CAK.

  3. It was posted the first of the week and posted again today.

    AC 3 Catholic 0

Man, AC looked good tonight. Catholic played well, but just couldn't stop AC.

    25-22, 25-23,25-13.

AC now leads the District, with one loss to Stone, Stone has two losses, one to AC, one to Catholic, Catholic has 3 losses, two to AC, one to Stone.

  4. Stone won in 5 at home. What will happen in Knoxville? Stone could be district leader if they can pull it out. Go Panthers!!!! /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

From what I understand if Stone wins they will still be tied for first with Anderson County. AC plays Kingston tonight in a double header. Earlier match in the season was cancelled. But if Catholic wins, which is very possible, AC would be first, Stone and Catholic tied for second...definetly a lot on the line this week....

  5. Yeah you are right there....it took alot to pursuade his own two sons to come with him.

To be honest I'm going on the guys track record at his previous school, he always seemed to have lots of out of district kids on his teams. I don't know PF current roster and where the players are from, I'm just saying I see alot of smoke around this guy.

  6. ok so ur comparing pigeon forge tiger victory over farragat to Michigan and appalachan state???

last time i checked, Pigeon forge aint no pushover. they've been to state two out of the last three years. how are you gonna argue with that?

This is how I will argue with that. How many state championships has Farragut won? How many has PF won? How many D1 kids does FHS have every year, how many does PF usually have? They have been to state 2 out 3 years who cares. First of all its AA baseball, second of all if FHS had to beat the teams PF has to beat to get there, FHS would have 10 or more state titles in a row. Yes PF was better on that day, but you need to check the last time PF brought home a state title.

  7. Well 2 years ago was a different team, they have obviously lost quite a few of the players that got them there. Byrge, Pack, the 2nd baseman (can't remember his name) and the 2 gwinn boys. I just think this year the Irish will prevail in the district. From what I remember last year Seymour tagged the ace Byrge, for 6 or 7, AC put up 1. State champion caliber teams win those games, hey I'm not saying AC hasn't been good, or isn't good, I just think this year there number is up in the district. I think it means more to KCHS because they haven't been there. I mean even the 2nd game between AC and KCHS the umps screwed up that call on the ground rule double, if that call is made the right way KCHS sweeps AC, and we aren't having this discussion.

  8. Well, well, well from what I remember the boys at AC have always done well in the district but choke after that. The question is can AC produce after the district? KCHS is steadily improving and hungry, Coach Sullivan will have the boys ready come tourney time. Loudon swept KCHS earlier but the Irish have regained their focus beating AC pretty well last week. It will be an exciting tournament like last year. The Irish will prevail this year.

  9. Well I'm rooting for GB (I have to or lose my friend, spikeit2 /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> but would have liked to see an AC/Greenbrier final.

If Greenbrier and AC finish 1st and 2nd in the pool (although do not forget the other two teams in there). Then they would play #1 and #2 from the other pool. If they both win the semi-finals then they would meet in the finals. Greenbrier seems pretty confident...although they should be considering that they dominated AC last time they played them. AC has had a pretty rough road, not sure if they have it in them.

  10. Hey ERidger..... You forgot about GRACE didn't you? Never look past a hungry team...... It's OK this way you can kick back and watch a baseball playoff game thursday night while GRACE heads up the road to play again...... Greenbrier is one of the top teams in the state and I hate that we must face them, but to be honest we are all just very happy to be playing again and the Fro is left at home.... LOL... it feels pretty good to talk a little smack....

Congrats to Grace for upsetting East Ridge. But heading into the "Brier" patch is a little different. I think Greenbrier wins in 3, in a unstoppable fashion. Grace just doesn't have the firepower to compete with a team like Greenbrier.

  11. With all the AC posters out there this may get me whacked, but how is Anderson County classified as A-AA in VB with an enrollment >1000? Perhaps the TSSAA numbers are wrong or they include students in grades other than 9-12, but they show AC with more students than some local AAA schools:

    http://www.tssaa.org/Classifications/e2007...enrollments.htm

I'm really not trying to pick on AC, but don't understand why they are A-AA and, for example, Sullivan East is AAA with >50 fewer students. Is there a bigger A-AA school in TN?

From what I understand they only count the number of students every three years or so. So, enrollment may have been down when they did the last classification for AC and up for Sullivan East.
