Sorry bigster maybe I worded it badly.   You made most of my points though lake county had a lot of opportunities to close the door last night and didn't for a lot of different reasons.  Everyone I talked to at the game said Dresden is very young also so they should get better too. Plus they are supposed to gget some of their better players back. I didn't mean to sound like they can't beat Dresden because they are very average right now but you know you can't expect 2 games to play out the same so they might not havethe  same chance next game was my point 

It's hard for me to see lake county beating Dresden if they couldn't tonight with Dresden getting their 2 best players back in a couple weeks   They missed an excellent chance 

I hope this hire is as good as the last 3. They had a second place, a semi final and a state title. I think it will be. Their administration does their homework

It could happen.  Carver knocked Dresden out one year at Whithaven when Dresden brought in a more talented team than this one.  If they are as good as they were that year, then Carver will win.  From the looks of scores it does not look like their defense is as good though.

heard dresdens middle linebacker is being recruited, so they will have a red jersey on him tomorrow so tca will not be allowed to block him for fear of injury.  This could allow him to make a lot of tackles.

99.9% of all AD's would have hired Rang if they did not have an emotional hang-up on Hodge.  The best resume got the job.  I said knox county plates, but no "he was just stirring the pot."  Good luck coach Rang.  Hard work and you will have a good program and maybe even overcome the loud minority.

well it got postponed again, the quarterback club couldn't decide who would get to make the announcement.  was told if they did not hurry up that the principal may step in and make the hire himself.

Figure I will be the coach before Gaddis will leave oak ridge. Hate to say it but the coach is as important as anything in a football program. Dresden won 1 game in three years before Hodge arrived and went 6 and 4 his first year. Hasn't missed playoffs since. Talent wasn't any better but the kids, parents, and community bought into his program and flourished. Not saying another coach won't do a good job but we know what we have with Chad and we are good with that!!

in recent years, Dresden has not had a 1 win in 3 year stretch, and going back to 02 and 03, those teams were better than any Dresden has had since.  This was also when they did not play a 1a schedule.

reading these posts makes me think that they better hire C. Hodge because it sounds like most people will not support  the program unless he coaches.  surely there will be other good coaches that apply for the position.

A couple of thoughts and a question.  Does Keith Hodge teach chemistry/biology?  If not then that position may not be open.  Also in the state of TN the job must be posted(the teaching position) for 2 weeks before anything can be done.

Maybe if Dresden, Gleason, and Greenfield weren't absolutely terrible the county would give them more of the budget.That maybe could answer this old guys question. Just stating the obvoius
