i wouldnt say they are complete idiots i would say they just dont really know... how many high school coaches pay attention to how an offensive lineman on another team does throughout the year.... probably not very many... they study the film for their game against them see how they can attack them.. they dont have stats to see who actually had a better year...

 

who blasted yazzie... only thing i heard around franklin high school was how he was an idiot for going on national tv and guarenteeing a win against us then we blasted them... no franklin player has said anything about chaz scales... 90% of the players are friends with him.. all i remember about heckman was people said he could get rattled easily.. just because people get on coacht and post stuff doesnt mean they are actual students.. so just stop talking and get your head out of massengales butt and realize that there were better lineman then him because its a fact

Acctually to be honest my head is not up his BLANK. im just SICK of franklin people coming on here and complaining when it doesnt go tere way, or saying there the best. let some one have some glory and just stop.

OK so Lets get this straight. I dont mind all these FRANKLIN people bashing logan as long as they are fine with admitin that they are saying that every coach in this region and coach clayton are completly idiot and dont know what the best football player is.

I would not exactly say anyone has fully "defused" my case. You all have just ignored it. I know you all at Centennial are frustrated because you have to live in "big brother's" Shadow (Franklin & Brentwood). But just for once give me a logical argument why anyone at CHS deserves anything over the leaders of Brentwood & Franklin.

14 to 7 final.. Should have been 14 to 0 but brentwood made a LUCKY trick play because theres no other way they can pass the ball. Franklin did very well on both sides of the ball, strong defense but offense wasnt completely clicking the way they have been. I dont know much about Whites Station but their defense better bring their A+ game to stand a chance. But good game to franklin, way to prove you are the best team in the county. no ifs ands or buts. no excuses.

I have no doubt that Centennial could beat Brentwood. However, they didn't. Franklin WILL beat Brentwood.

some of you are smoking some good stuff... first of all franklin is not overrated... they lost to brentwood yeah it happens... franklin is the better team and everybody knows it.. but they lost... i bet that loss helps them a lot... mus could get as lucky as they wanted against franklin and it would still be a blow out for franklin

Wouldnt necessarily call last night a great night of football. Last nights game lacked a lot. both teams were sloppy at times and the rivalry between brentwood and franklin doesnt even come close to living up to what it used to be. Where was brentwoods fan base? Usually the oppostie sidellines is overflowing out of the bleachers. the bleachers were barely filled to capacity. Franklins student section was quiet at best. Couldnt even hear them from 3 sections over.

 

My question is, why in the world can franklin not beat brentwood at home but always find a way to beat them at brentwood. Franklins best bet now would be to finish second and have to play brentwood away. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way and hopefully you'll meet again.

I do like your posts I just don't think your right. Crawford has little if anything to do with the offense, that is why he has always had someone do it. He is a very good coach but offense is not his area,that is why he does not get involved with offense. He gives his offensive coach total control,look at his offensive coaches since he has been at Brentwood. As for Centennial they will have chances to beat Page, NE.,Columbia,and Glencliff. No chance to beat siegel, Franklin, Dickson Co.,Brentwood,Ravenwood, or Independence. Same record and no playoffs.

first, you need to learn how to read. there is no celebration, but i said that in a previous post. i have simply been addressing the the mis-conception that riverdale will be okay, that they will win this year like always, that they have enough talent to win the region and make a run for the state title. this mis-conception is from SOME of the fans like you. alot of the fans know that this is going to be a tough year because they live in reality.

 

secondly, i have alot of football expertise. 20 plus years of experience at the high school and college level. 10 years of that at the division 1 level. if you want to call my "expertise" in question, then let me know how much football you know and how you know it. most folks in murfreesboro know football because they played high school football (were average at best) and then watch games on friday night and on saturday on the TV and this makes them an expert. maybe that is your resume.

 

third, blackman has been bad. 3 years ago they were 0-10. 2 years ago they were 2-8. this last year they were 4-6. each year they got better was directly related to the number of talented players they had on the roster. this year they have more talent than they have had in the last three years and the W's will show that. same coaches but more wins. am i glad blackman will be better, you better believe it. our coaches and kids have worked hard and took shots for several years now. does that make me glad that riverdale is down, absolutely not.

 

fourth, let me give you an illustration. Lavergn has one of the finest coaches in the state. Hester knows his stuff and is good at communicating it. you will find hardly no one who say something bad about his coaching ability, but he will not win this year either because he has very little talent.

 

fifth, instead of you responding back with facts about the names and talent of the kids you have to potentially prove me and 2priceless wrong, you come back with accusing us of celebrating, which is false. you make a personal slam against the teams we pull for and their terrible past, therefore, we know nothing about football. and then you make fun of someone with the pain train statement.

and if all of this comes true, i wonder if you will then admit that the talent level is not their. my guess is YOU WILL BLAME THE COACHES because the kids that wear the riverdale colors do not lose. what a joke!

i will have to agree with this guy about blackmen...they watch out for blackmen making a run for state this year or next year......very talented team and there 2010 team is VERY talented

not a lot of teams are going to be able to put up points on the rebel D....and not a whole lot of defenses are going to be able to stop the rebel running game.

 

Franklin wins

well i knwo of one team who put alot of piont on the franklin D "BWOOD".....and brentwood also stopped the running game of franklin O.....but hunterslane is very good at stopping the runnign game but idk about the pass......and from rumor has it franklin is gettting there act together...but franklins o line is gonna have to step it up cause hunterslanes d line is fast mobile big strong fast and agressive....... i think hunterslane will take the win because they are a very tought team and never give up nor does franklin so.......idk..i say hunterslane but 10

bitter much? regular season means nothing when playoffs come around. franklin is still in it, brentwood is not. end of story.

no im not the bitter cause we were playing the number 1 seed..........and plus i have another 2 years at bwood so me and my teamates r gonna bring heck next year and the year after..but i will say franklin shocked me.......so.....yea........

If im not mistaken mr brentwood football 56 we will be playing next friday and you will be watching us play.

One of the only reasons why Brentwood ran all over Franklin is because the Rebs were without 2 of their best defensive linemen, and starting middle LB - due to injury.

With those 3 in the lineup, Franklin probably would have won that game....

 

Brentwood couldn't really consistently stop the run in that game either... so i guess Hunters Lane will win by 14

Hunters Lane isnt the first team to grab the goalposts. Those goalposts have been loose for years, and will move with slightest touch. Trust me, ive done it before, haha. I was their during warmups, and didnt hear alot of trash talk directed to Hville. Alot of yelling as always during warmups, and simultaneously doing jumping jacks with the Commandos. No sign of showing disrespect towards their opponents. If they were talking trash...they back it up on the field.

 

As for this weeks game, I like the Warriors by a touchdown. If they can defend the pass a little better then they have the past few weeks, then they should emerge with a victory.

i love how everyone form franklin comes on here and say there the big guy on campus when....then havent beat any of the good team in williamson county besides indy and when they beat indy they had not found there qb...which is sophmore who is a good player....so i would give indy a win over franklin if they played each other know...i mean indy beat bwood 17 -7 and killed ravenwood...and franklin got beat by brentwood and luckly got into OVERTIME cause of a blown call that gave them a touch down.......and ravenwood ebat them so i think every thing franklin people are saying is incorrect

Ok, I'll make it less confusing. If FHS wins, we are in bc RHS plays DCHS Friday night. If FHS wins, the loser of the RHS/DCHS game is out. If FHS loses, then they are in if RHS beats DCHS. If that doesn't happen, FHS is out. IHS and BHS are in (BHS is baring a horrible upset to Clarsville NE).

 

FHS is on a nice run beating CNE, CHS, and favored DCHS away (and doing it with a solid running game and good defense) with an average score in those last 3 wins of 44-14. In the other 2 wins (IHS and MHS) the average score was 38-15. When FHS is clicking, watch out - just ask Independence.

 

IHS is on a nice run with 5 wins since getting slobber-knocked by FHS the 3rd week in September. The problem spot for them is a lack of an imposing offense. Their average score was 27-7 (including one team from Memphis which is 2-7 and an 0-9 team which everyone in the conference will beat at some point this season). They have won clutch games against DHCS, BHS, and RHS, though. So, if their offense gets clicking, they could be a force to reckon with in the playoffs.

 

DCHS is not going to be much of a playoff menace if they make it that far. Over their last 5 games their average score with a record of 2-3 has been 23.4-23.6.

 

RHS, has improved over the coarse of the season after a 1-4 start and should make the playoffs after beating DCHS at home this week. Their avg score over the last 5 games is 31-18. With Michael Becker at the helm, you can never count the Raptors out - ask MBA who barely squeaked out a win that looked to be well at hand with 7 minutes to go in the game and up 31-10. Most everyone counted them out and said the FHS win was a fluke, but, here they are headed to the playoffs, again.

 

BHS was in the same spot as RHS with a 1-4 start, but has found life headed to the playoffs, as well. The avg score in the last 5 games is 20-11. They aren't much on offense, but their defense can smother you.

 

I see FHS or RHS making a run at the 'SHIP, this year. Hopefully, FHS will be the one to do it (with a much less confusing number of offensive formations - and, no, it doesn't confuse defenses). This run will be anchored by a good defense, and big-play playmakers Dykes, Steele, Ford, and Lee. Also, look for Whorly across the middle and Perkins anywhere he can get his hands near a ball.

What more explanation do you need? I am stating facts. It is not sour grapes since we won the game. Who cares? If the hold is withing the frame of the DL it usually isn't called and that's OK. When the OL is allowed to tackle the defense by the legs that is different and needs to be flagged. Just watch the game film. My post was not meant to stir up anything. Simply stating an observation. I guess if you can get away with it do it.

It is suppose to mean exactly what I said. Watch the video and they tackled us on about every play. I am not saying it is bad coaching. If the refs are only going to call 10% why not do it and take your chances. Bwood is very aggressive on offense and if it is not called it is not holding.

im still very lost....if we tackle but its not called holding who cares...im confused pleaz explain more........
