  1. Owlbooster, you write half your posts attacking people who have anything to say about your school. This is a message board for ideas, not verbal attacks. Stick to the topic and avoid talking about what other people post.

    Easiest

    Ever

    To

    Do

And to the guy who called me a dumbass. #### you.

  2. MUS is over-rated, and should postmouthly be removed from any national ranking sysytem. Albeit they have a nice record, even stretching over the past 2 seasons, I feel like they haven't had the same amount of competition experienced all over Tennessee that they have in Memphis. Not to say Memphis is a bad place for football, but I definitely feel like Nashville has the stiffest competition, followed by Knoxville, then Memphis. They beat other nationally ranked teams, yes, but they definitely showed weakness Friday. Ranked teams, especially near the top 10, never show weakness.

  3. Is that really the MUS team that has been given so much press over the past 2 seasons?

Yea, you guys had turnovers, penalties, etc... but FRHS has made a football strategy by forcing turnovers and mistakes and winning off those problems other teams have. You can say your team didn't do their best because of all the turnovers and what not, but that's how FRHS has won this year. Luck of the Irish? I think not, it's become Irish doctrine to have a strategy based around the best way to win in D-2, and thats making progress off their opponents mistakes.

MUS better practice, and better practice HARD. Thursday night (or whenever the game is) will be MUCH harder than this, and MBA is in the habbit of also forcing turnovers. MUS could very easily lose this championship match. In fact, i'd be suprised if they won.

  4. This post is partially a response to CBQ. He still is having a hard time making a positive statement about the Irish. The fact is no matter the outcome of the next game, Ryan has had a good and successful season and have much to be proud of. So CBQ, just agree and admit it. To the poster who posted that the supposed Ryan poster silly statements makes Father Ryan look bad, I don't know who is more stupid, the poster who gives that much credit to a poster as to the reputation of a school or the actual poster who can't or won't post good english. Ahhhh, game against MUS, nobody in the city of Nashville would be more pleased than me to see the Irish pull the upset and that is what it would be. It would be in my opinion a greater upset than MBA beating Ensworth, something that gave me great pleasure. But, I don't think this will happen, prediction MUS 35, Ryan 14. The poster who stated that when Ryan is told they can't do something, this gives them more motivation, well, I am sure that is true, but it is going to come down to who has the most skilled players, and that is MUS hands down, and we are playing in their stadium. Lastly, win or lose, Ryan has had a great season unless you have that anything less than a championship is a failure atitude. Good luck to the Irish. :popcorneater:

    darn well quoted sir! Bravo!

  5. All you pepople that give Father Ryan no chance are crazy and actually STUPID...like that other person said (not sure his nname on here) - Father Ryan fights a lot harder and stronger when they are told no - If you look at the Ensworth and Ba game you will find that out. Father Ryan will not be told no and they play up to every level not matter what. Thats why i like them in this game. This is a team that never gets up and if you look at their losses they dont lose by too much. If u add up all the points they lost by that total is 12. 12!! POINTS!!. You completely nuts if you actually think Father Ryan will Lose by atleast 10. Me personally i dont think Father Ryan will lose this game. All they have to do is stop Barry Brunetti and the RB's and they will do fine. Which Father Ryan's defense has looked really good all year and i think they will do that. If their defensive front plays like they did last week and their secondary plays like they have all year up to last week then they will win this game.:thumb::thumb:

    FRHS- 35

    MUS- 28

See you guys in Cookeville IRISH!!!!!!!

Giving up 35 points to Briarcrest does not bode well for stopping "Barry Brunetti and the RB's".

But does 45 points scored bode well for their offense?

  6. I agree with big red big blue.

This game is HUGE because it is being played @ FRHS and with their brand new stadium. You can't christen a win at home without beating your rival there.

And I agree with KWoodrof as well. The rivalry could be rekindled if FRHS pulls out a win. FRHS has proved they can win with limited talent. They used the old D2 technigue: excellent coaching.

  7. Well, cbg, if you put it that way.. Then I guess you could apply it to other sports as well. Father Ryan hasn't beat MBA in football recently, but...

MBA hasn't beat Father Ryan in basketball/wrestling/soccer in a very long long time. I guess FRHS is too much of a rival for MBA to handle. THis rival ended long ago when FRHS proved to be the better athletic school in terms of dominating sports.

Good statement though, cbg, I like where you were going with your post. And that is, absolutely no where, unless you cling so lifelessly to hope that football is the only sport played in high school.

    Oh wait, it isnt.

  8. So.

    Big Game this Friday.

MBA @ Father Ryan's new stadium.

MBA has been down all this year, and coming off a loss to BGA. Father Ryan is having a great year, and is coming off a win against rival JPII.

MBA is out a quarterback, and FRHS is healthy.

I say FRHS by a touchdown

    FRHS 17 MBA 10

  9. In my opinion, nashville football is the best in the state. In terms of high school football.

    1. Nasville - Ensworth, BGA, BA, MBA, Ryan, Pope who

    2. Memphis - CBHS, MUS

    3. Chatt - McCallie, Baylor

    4. Knoxville - Webb

Thats in terms of D2. I would expect any school from Nashville to beat someone from out of Nashville, especially when a game is IN nashville, and a team must make that travel to Nash.

  10. Thursday night game? Those games ROCK.

Players love Thursday night games cause that means they got all Friday night to party. And knowing my beloved FRHS, those players probably go out and do some serious illegal stuff. Like any good high schooler should.

    Anyway

    FRHS 30 Antioch 17

  11. I don't see MBA being that great a team this year. Struggled with Maplewood. Lost to Riverdale in the preseason, and got blown away by Ensworth. They'll be o.k. at best.

B.A. is unreliable, but they always make noise in the playoffs - if they make it this year (the Ryan loss hurts them)

Father Ryan is running on their Irish Luck. How you lose to Overton but beat BA is beyond me. They might make playoffs, but it's not their mandate to contest any of the bigger schools.

MUS will be the team to beat this year.

Ensworth might be the team to do it.

    McCallie and Baylor? Far behind.

    Other schools? What other schools?
