  1. Good scrimmage for both teams. Giles Co. owned the varsity (1s and 2s) session of the scrimmage 4 TDs to 1. While Lewis County got the better of Giles in the young player portion of the scrimmage 3 tds to 0. So if you add them up a 4 to 4 tie is how it played out. Lewis Co. has some big kids and will be fine once season starts. Giles look pretty good but still has alot to work on as well.

    Thanks for the info.

  2. Always wondered the reasoning behind, schools like Loretto thats a 2a school and play in a 1a district, or LC a 3a school playing in a 2a district. If it's simply logistics or a numbers thing? Anyway heard this was a great game and Loretto was very athletic look forward to seeing y'all later in the season.

Maybe they just wanted to play each other.

  3. The O-line coaches are Coach Clark and Coach Keown(excuse the spelling, not sure on it), but that isn't at all what they've been taught.(the line) I was a little surprised with them, I guess that's just the youth coming out in them. Can't use that for an excuse, they need to grow up quick. I was pretty disappointed with their performance, as I'm sure the rest of the LC side was also.

Thanks LCpanther, is this coach Clark or Keown young themselves or just short on ability.

  4. Didn't have a dog in this this race. But came to watch, was a good hard fought game from both teams. Good defensive game plan on both sides. Tucker lived up to his rep. #21 for LC another good player. Just curious who is the O-line coach for LC? O-line didn't look very well coach and half of them didn't even look like they were taught how to get into a stance.(Straight up and off balance) #10 for PC classless at the end, but a good player, just needs to let his play do the talking.

  6. SP1 they are hard at work, they seem to have a renewed energy. Not sure where it came from maybe from the outgoing seniors, new coaches or something else. Some are really stepping up and showing leadership. But, you can count on one thing as usual they will work hard this off-season and will play hard every week next season. To the outgoing seniors thanks for everything!!!!

  7. Updated stats; #1 HB has 105 carries (34.20%) for 494 yds, #2 Back (FB) 97 carries (31.60%) for 515 yards, #3 HB position (2 players) has 89 carries for 368 yards 28.99%. The positions have averaged 15, 13.9 and 12.7 carries per game for the year. If they spread it around anymore then that I would have a carry or two. 3 different players have led the team in rushing attempts this year. As the year comes to an end I believe that the FB will end up with more carries than the rest. I do agree on one thing we are not getting much blocking out of our backs.

DDaddy if your numbers are correct, but do a game by game breakdown. Maybe it will prove your point or his. But one thing is for sure the blocking needs to improve, not just the backs but everyone else.

  8. Mikal has caught most of those completions and when he is on is the only true receiver that we have.

Not completely true they another that from what I've seen is a little faster and may have better hands. But, for some reason this coaching staff only wants to play the starters and not give anyone else a shot to prove theirselves or even playing time to rest the starters from time to time.

  9. Heard LC needed to work on blocking better and QB floated the ball to much. All things that can be improved with alittle more PT. Did LC score at all in Lexington? Was it wiht a run or pass? Hope the banged up players get well and practice is going well this week.

  10. How did they do ddaddy? Been away on vacation......looks like I didn't miss much. Heard they have one on July 31st against Lexingtion...is that correct?

Talked with a parent of a Columbia Central player, he said last month at their booster meeting that they were going to scrimmage Lewis County in July. Not sure if true or not but he is the father of a starter. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

  11. LCHSpantherfan I wouldn't worry about these people if they have time to come here and dis LCHS on who they play. It would seem to me that they would spend their time on a thread that had to do with their team. Must be jealous or something like that.I hope they continue to discount us in the future and they just might get lucky and play us one year and our easy schedule. We will continue to play our games and know that who ever we play that our boys will play with all they have. Good luck to all the teams remaining in the playoff's and we will get ready for next year.

To the 2008 Panther seniors THANKS! for a great season, you are a special group of young men.

For the rest of the team THANKS! for a great season, now time to go to work for next year. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  12. Why is it every time that "Open Zone" is brought up the Alcoa people get so defensive? They act as though they are guilty of something. Now, I'm sure the first response to this will be because they get accused of it all the time. Alcoa have you ever heard the old saying "Let the dog lay" Please let it go don't look so guilty. /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />

  13. thats very few people talkin Grinchman...... you gone see when you come here.................. a united group ready to whip up on some pather babys. 14. Off subject a bit, does anyone know of a Hickman Co. player from the late 70's or early 80's named Dotson or Dodson. Was a TE,LB, or DE and played basketball. Think maybe he received scholarship to play ball at Ole Miss, just curious if around or what he maybe doing now? /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

  15. I can see how everyone thinks Lewis Co wins this one...since all they play in non-conference games are 1A schools...I mean give me a break....Start playing some 3A and 4A schools then talk smack...

    Hickman Co wins this one...

Then beats them again in the playoffs...

Just curious Aftershock how is it that everyone thinks LC will win this one ? Just wondering. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

  16. This problem is not just in Hickman Co. it's something that is going on at alot of places. All high school coaches do a tremendous job, even with all the coaches in stands. The people of HC should be proud of what they have in players, coaches, and facilities. I have a son who plays at Lewis Co. and I am thankful for the job that the coaches and teachers have done with him and the upkeep of our facilities. After all this is High School, not life or death and for those who want to belittle the job that these people do. GET OFF THE COUCH AND TRY IT YOURSELF. We seem to have a tradition here in Hohenwald, where after each game the fans go out on the field and gather with the team and coaches. Don't agree with this just thought this was a time for the players and coaches, doesn't mean that it's right or wrong. Just hope that everyone can go out support there team each night when they play and each player does it injury free. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
