The kid in question was already working out in the weight room at Bradley. So according to the definition of the rule, no high school coach can have any contact or dialoge with a middle school kid. Cleveland High is being punished under the same rule for discussing football after a meeting with a middle school parent. No common sense these days. Talking to a kid is not undue influence. if it were, then every high school coach in Tennessee is guilty.
By the way tribefan, this is old news. But, I'll bet you'll see his face Friday night lol

Bradley shouldn't be a problem for Riverdale if they don't play 4 qtrs like last week. Stupid second half penalties were a problem. They seemed satisfied to do just enough to hold the lead for the win.
-
So let me get this straight, Bradley goes to Baylor scrimmage with out any problems. Then goes to Rhea and gets into a scuffle? hummm

Guess the money and welcome ran out. That would be Allen for you. Look at the track record. lol

The game is at Polk so Polk wins no god awful WV refs
same referee association for Polk and WV Could be the exact same guys from WV at Polk lol
-
I'm convinced Bradley is not as good as everyone thought going into the season. But they have [played better teams than WV.
I'm not convinced WV is on the same level yet? Same as a couple yrs ago started off good against inferior teams and flubbed the rest of the season.
Cleveland has their offense running but defense is still a work in progress. The question is will that work be completed before playoffs.
Just some of my thoughts

hottest day we have seen in a while. How much can the Miller kid take playing both sides of the ball? Last year fatigue set in after the half. Guess we will see. hope we have a injury free game
-
A team that can run the ball and play pass defense will have its way with the Raiders
-
Bradley pulls away second half. Too much depth for Bradley. Too many going both ways for Polk will slow them down in the 3rd and 4th qtrs

Lockerby who was at Walker Valley came from a college program. That didn't work
-
I believe they played out the season with reserves after the starting LB's were hurt. Didn't see a whole lot of drop off
-
Copeland's gone but they have a couple QB's that are more than capable
They really didn't loose very many. Mostly in the defensive backfield I think. Don't think the JV's lost a game this year

As you can see by my name, I am a South Pittsburg Pirate Alum and have closely followed Pirate football over the years. Now I embark on a new journey. My son will be a freshman at Walker Valley next year and will become a member of the Mustang football team. The future at Walker Valley looks very bright building on a successful 2012 season. Would like to get everyone's thoughts on the upcoming year. Not sure how many people actually post on a Mustang thread but I hope to really get it up and going and do my part to help enhance the excitement of Mustang Football. Looking forward to some great memories at the Corral.
Look at the games u won and teams lost to. remove any one of those W's and insert EH which will equal another game in the L column along with Rhea moving to a new region. The mark of a program wanting to step up is quality of competition. Drop the East Ridges of the world and play tougher non district matchups.

Easy Solution.....Win more games than you lose and you will make the playoffs in almost any system in high school football.
Thats not an easy solution! Larger teams will be looking for the soft out of district games to ensure the have a winning record. On the other hand, smaller teams will not want to play up for fear of getting that loosing record. The only way I see is to have 11 team districts.

Will stay the same until that group has graduated. Doesn't matter who the coach is, Discipline starts at home.

How bout a bowl game between Cleveland and North Greene?
-
Saw the video of the scuffle and #24 was on the field with his helmet off. Will TSSAA disqualify any more for coming on the field.
-
come on Birds, Flog the Geldings
-
McMinn should win this one but playing at Soddy is a story in its self. One year we played down there in a foot of mud and later determined human waste. Another year the officiating was so bad even the SD coach apologized to coach Mullinax. So what will the obstacle be this year?
McMinn 32
Soddy Daisy 14
GO TRIBE!!!
Should have been there the night it came the flood and brought that sewage to the top. Must have been 4 " of water on the field that night. You guys must have played the following week.

Never can tell about how teams match up or even more importantly "rivalry games". 3 TD's called back and a flag against one side or another nearly every play. Would like for the refs to be seen and not heard but nothing anyone can do. Let the game be played by the players.
Which crew reffed that game?
