  1. The nights I've seen Justyce, I'd say she's doing pretty well as primary scorer with everyone collapsing on her...

    Very unselfish player as well!

I think she's averaging around16-18 points per game

    Around 38-40% from 3, 70% from 2, & 90% from the line..

Great passer and probably around 8-10 rebounds per game...

I'd also say, Coach Wilkins is doing a great job moving her around and finding ways to get her open...

  2. Great game by both teams. Looked like a district championship game. Very intense. Back and forth all night. Peabody had a chance to tie or win with no time on clock but kid missed both fths. Peabody is for real and playing well, I expect a win for this group at UC Friday.

Didn't see game, but good chance Greenfield didn't play with a lot of emotion after coming off

a very emotional win for them on Friday night. Not saying they didn't play hard. Just hard for any team to bring 100% every night... Sounds like they were lucky to win...

  3. Great game tonight with UC + Peabody. UC come out on top by 4, but it was back and forth all night and tied later in the 4th. I think u can throw Peabody in the contender category also for a top 4 spot. If they ever figure out how to get over the hump they will be dangerous. Coach Hart has done an amazing job with this group in 2 years. This team was horrible when he took over and now they are right there with the top of the district

Peabody returns more experience than any team in the district.  If they are ever going to compete, it'll be this year...

  4. Overall the district appears to be down this year. There doesn't seem to be one dominant team and looks like for the first time in quite a while our district will have a hard time competing in the region...

I agree with you about the district being down. It's the weakest I've seen it! I've been watching this district since Ted Young was a player. I've never seen Clarksville High this bad!!! The only good thing is district 9 is equally bad!!! This should be HC's chance to win it, but they have been awful so far. They return several starters and lots of experience. Probably one of the top players in HC history. I love HC basketball and know they can turn it around!!! They just don't seem to be playing as hard as they have in the last few years and are extremely undisciplined. DC has a probably the best individual player, Kenwood plays hard, and Northeast has some athletes. The other teams are awful!!! Go Pats!!!
  5. Excellent hire by Henry County. Any time you pick up a guy with head coaching experience at the college level, it says a lot. He was also a very good high school coach at 3 different schools. I do expect us to be back on the map in District 10-AAA sooner rather than later. As patriot04 already pointed out, there are plenty of athletes at Henry County. We have a rising junior who will be one of the best players in the district next season. Up-tempo offense and pressing defense is attached to Mike Greer's name. I'm excited to see the direction this basketball program goes. Best of luck to Coach Greer, and good job by the admin for reeling him in.

Coach Greer is coming in at a great time! Following one of the best fundamental high school coaches, I have ever had the pleasure to watch for past 6 years in Coach Wilkins will absolutely be a blessing. My son played all 4 years of high school ball under Coach Wilkins and learned so much about basketball, work ethic, and more importantly about how to be successful in life! Henry County had been considered an automatic win by many before Coach Wilkins came. Good luck to Coach Greer! You have a great nucleus of young athletes returning and should have a great chance to win District 10-AAA the next couple of years! Build upon the program as it is definitely headed in the right direction!!! Thanks to Coach Wilkins for all you did for HC basketball as well!!! My family and especially my son will always be grateful!!!

  6. Interesting... :roflol: Now that the Yanker says Henry is a for sure win, others jump on board. He gets no complaints at all. :roflol: I absolutely agree with him. The Patriots will win and win big!!! The Commandoes will be lucky to still be in game by 1/2 time!!! :popcorneater: Now that our eastern friends have one of there weapons out hurt it will be a laugher!!! :roflol:

The YANKER is HERE!!!!! The news in Henryland will be good tomorrow night. My scores have been particularly accurate this season, so I know all of Henryland awaits the following...so here goes...HC 27-Hendersonville 17...I AM THE WORLD'S ONLY LIVING YANKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Yes, I'm HC fan and yes I have faith the Big Red will roll over the Commandoes :roflol: I'm sorry, if I'm a little more bold in my predictions. I don't mean to imply that Hendersonville isn't a pretty good team. They are. The Pats are just simply better!!! I'll just sit back here in the sun and wait for the semi's. :popcorneater:

Don't take him too serious. We aren't even sure he is a Henry county fan. He does this every year and makes the other team mad. We Henry county fans have learned to ignore him.

  8. If frog had wings.... They don't so Patriots will win big!!! Pats are too quick and have too many weapons for unathletic Commandoes. Patriots will not allow them to run ball, so they better HOPE they can put a few passes together, but oh wait the Pats have a great secondary as well. So oh well, there's always next year, but wait Pats are very young, so great season Commandoes. Have nice l-o-n-g trip back to Nashville. I'll be listening from sunny Florida, but will drive up Semi's and finals. Go Pats!!! :popcorneater:

Things to watch for in this game.

H-ville is very sound fundamental team they run a very basic version of the wing-t.

They block down very well on O-line and the ends keep the Lb's pinched oustside on the buck sweep so the tb (20) can cut it back.

They lack team speed but make up for it power.

They took some wicked hits this past week and may be sore.

The QB hurt his left arm and was holding it gingerly throughout the 2nd half.

The only negatives I can say about them is 63 likes to eye gouge and play rough after the whistle which will lead to a few 2nd swings getting called against you.

The LB 34 isn't real big but likes to fly in on hits a little late on the whistle.

57 is a beast he is the real deal 6-4 285 and runs like a freight train... good luck doing anything against him..."

H-ville has a great, powerful defense. 20 is a fast player that can cut right and left quickly. 34 is a pure athlete, one of the strongest men out there. All over the field and hits hard. Definately a player to watch, very classy player. I've seen H-ville play 3 times this year and 34 was always the first to help other team up and to shake hands after the game. 57 is big and strong. He will knock the wind right out of you. Watch for 33's run. He gets crucial yardage for the commandos. Offense likes to run the ball alot but wouldn't be surprised if they mixed things up this game and started throwing. Well coached and disciplined team. If they can string together some passes on offense I call Commando win.

  9. Patriots will win by @ least 4 touch downs!!! The Commandoes will get tired of watching the Pats backs as they race by them. We are way to fast for the slow Commandoes. N-East dominated Beech and HC is MUCH better than N-East. Maybe Gallatin's mystique may have posed a threat for the Pats, but believe me noone is scared of Hendersonville in football. Soccer, maybe, not football. I'll be listening over internet from sunny Florida. Roll Red Roll!!! What a break we got to get to go east, LOL another easy 2 wins ahead. :roflol:

After a cold night across the state, Hendersonville and Henry County is still alive in Quad 3....who will remain standing after next week? Hendersonville stopped the run against Gallatin...can they do the same in Paris?

  10. We lost all of our offensive weapons. How can we be as quick??? Gaddis knew when to get out!!! He's a talent chasing machine and knew when to exit. He inherited a team in N. Carolina that's loaded and got to semi's last year. He won't miss a beat, but I'm not sure how we'll fair. Pride and tradition can go a long ways, so we'll see! Good luck Pats!!!

Pats will bring a good crowd down to Jackson. Should be a good game. Pats lost a lot of Seniors from last years team. I expect to see a lot of young players on the field. Actually with the heat I would think both teams will play a lot of players. Pats overall speed may be as fast as last year or faster. Should be a fun game to watch with the speed on the field. Liberty I know wants to win this game and get some revenge on the Pats.

Is Liberty returning most of their lineman?

Can't wait for the season to start.

    GO PATS !

  11. So, who all does Liberty have coming back from last years team? Who did they lose, etc?

24 yrs old Jarret Jones will take over at Liberty. Interesting he was an assistant for 2 yrs and has no college ball experience. You don't have to have college ball experience but most of the time people have 5-10 yrs of assistanship under their belt. He will inherit athletes and players. Good luck.

  12. :o I took a needed vacation Florida after disappointing fb loss to GW. How did the big guy look? I'm sure it will be hard to get much of a flow until some of the injuries I've been hearing about are back on the court. 1 poster said Wilkins had Patriots picked to be state champs. I doubt he's saying that, but I'm sure it is his goal! :o Any experienced coach would set that goal every year. This year on paper, HC has potential to actually compete for that goal. As I said in an earlier post, I truly believe that their desire to DEFEND will determine their chances! With many sr's this time around their offense will become more consistent. :D Patriots, I'll be back for home opener vs Calloway County. Let's make some noise this year :roflolk:
  13. :D I'm here, just embarrassed! :D I had the score just backwards. Gallatin was awesome! Congrats and good luck! The Pats played hard, but were just beaten by the better team. I guess what we feared came true. Our district proved to be extremely weak. All teams out of playoffs after round 2. Wow, oh well hopefully our basketball team will continue to improve as they have the last few years and maybe they can get us to the Boro! Again, congrats Green Wave and I sincerely apologise for previous comments. Your team and fans both proved to be a class act! It was reminiscent to what Gallatin used to be years ago. I remember those teams. Again good luck and congrats to our Patriots for another good season! :D
  14. I must repeat myself! HC's line play will destroy the Green Ripples's lines! :?: Lil Mac will be be a Big Mack truck cruising through the holes. When you add all the other trucks helping to transport the ball into the end zone it could well be a very long night for the Ripples! Oh yeah, Simms will pick apart their secondary for many yards to boot! :?: So you better arrive early if you want to see a close game. It won't stay that way long! HC 42-GR  7
  15. HC should be very good this year! Yes, they did finish last year "disappointingly", but some times coaches have to put aside wins and discipline kids for the betterment of the program. I give the Patriot big praise for that decision. Hopefully, if everyone can stay healthy, this will be a banner year for the Pats! :thumb: 10AAA will be very tough this year. I'm hearing a couple 3 schools may have benefited from transfers. After football is over look for the Patriots to steadily improve and hopefully get over the hump this season. DEFENSE will be the key! They have offensive fire power! But, will they be able to shut down their opponents? That is the biggest concern I see for them!!
