  1. No disrespect intended. I`m as big a DC fan as there is not to have even have a child in school at this time. I`ve only missed two DC games all year and do not plan to miss another. I have followed these guys (all DC sports) every step of the way just as I did when your dad coached the tribe to a state championship in 73. I have been reading this board alot longer that I have been posting, so I hear where you`re coming from. I know all about the BA saga with D`burg and think " WE DC FANS " handled that situation as a perfect example by letting the guys respond on the field. Just don`t want to hype them to much. We can bs all day long, but they still gotta play the game.
  2. Eeeasy there Trigger, I know your pumped up, but they still gotta play the game ! Those promises and early predictions can get ya in a heap of trouble. Don`t wanna be eatin` any of that left-over crow D`burg had a few weeks back.
  3. This was implemented along with the football mercy rule. If a team is up by 35 pts. or more at the start of the 4th quarter, the clock will only stop for timeouts, shooting fouls, or injuries.
  4. DC`s defense was as good as it gets last night, however, the offense, even though they put 93 points on the board, looked very out of control at times. Numerous charges in the paint. Jake`s ankle looked really nasty. Best to him. The bench looked really good and deep as well. Gotta have them if you plan on going anywhere.
  5. No. Several injuries. Notables, BA Davis did not play the second half due to a sprained ankle. It appears the QB`s shoulder is still not 100%. May be more precautionary than anything. The guys are going to have to step it up a notch and get back to the level of play they had against Dyersburg if they exspect to get past Haywood Co. next week.
  6. [ Hey 10, Do you (or anyone) have any stats from last night. We could wait for the local paper I guess, but just like 56, I don`t know if Mike Smith (sports editor who graduated from DCHS and now is a DHS fan) will be able to get out of bed for a few days. Again, Great Game On Both Sides !
  7. How Bout `em. I knew it wouldn`t take long for you and 73 to make your way on tonight. I gotta say BA, Adam, and all the guys deserve hats off tonight, but Chad, you must have threatened your #10 or something. What a game! Any stats yet? BTW, 73 is this starting to bring back some memories?
  8. Hey why don`t you guys take it out back and leave this board for fans who want to talk about a great HS Football game. Jared Hunter is one of the smallest big men I`ve seen in a long time. Look foward to seeing his stats. Congrats to the Mighty Choctaws for their win and to both teams for making the playoffs and representing Dyer Co.
