  1. It's a rock. Who cares?  My daughter said HHS rock was installed like a week ago so it holds nothing of value. UT has "The Rock" and it gets painted on all the time for various stuff, some good some bad. If thats the worst vandalism Gallatin gets then they are lucky. Its a stupid rock.

  2. A lot of people thought that Hughes was going to light it up when Beech played Hendersonville also.Beech's line doesn't get the respect that they deserve, they will pound you up front and string together 12-13 play drives that tires out a defense. You also have to look at the teams the Bucs have played so far compared to Gallatin.

Hughes was hurt and did not start against Beech with only 10 carries all game.  Beech DL & OL destroyed Hendersonville's in that game, however. Very impressed with Beech's team this year.

  3. Outplayed, out-hustled & heavily out-coached in this one.  Some of the strangest play calling I've seen from Hendersonville this year.  Also, wasting a timeout on an extra point only to get a penalty after the timeout for having 12 men in the huddle is inexcusable & cost Hendersonville a shot to go for 2 at that point.  Crabtree had an excellent gameplan and stuck to it the entire game.  Beech O-line was getting a major push on every play. Van Zant looked real good.

Anthony Hughes must be hurt/in trouble.  Not enough carries and when he did he did not look the same player as the past 3 weeks.  Not hitting holes hard & no break away speed that he showed against Cane Ridge.  Blocking for him was subpar also.  Why does he not play both ways? Thought he was an excellent linebacker last year.

Special teams comes back to bite Hendersonville yet again but it should've never been close.  Terrible play and execution from Hendersonville.  Beech boys played very well & disciplined football game.  Crabtree is an excellent coach and displayed that last night as he was a step ahead of the Hendersonville staff all night.

  4. Houston - Oakland

    Dobyns-Bennett  - Ravenwood

    Bearden - Collierville

    Station Camp - Cookeville

    Houston - Dobyns-Bennett

    Bearden - Station Camp

    Houston - Bearden

Houston is the best team in the state, hands down. Bearden is better than both Collierville and Station Camp. Station Camp's lack of schedule will bite them. Oakland's record is not impressive. Only saw DB play once this season and they were not in the same league as Houston.  Ravenwood can attack well but are susceptible on defense.

  5. the AAA final was played between Hendersonville and Farragut on field #1 on Wednesday. shame the top two teams were "blindly drawn" to play in the first round. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

  6. Yazzie this, Yazzie that. These Hendersonville guys are tough I'm telling you Franklin.

Alex Ford met your "golden-boy" Yazzie one-on-one on the outside, and Ford blew by him leaving him grasping at air like a kid with asthma reaching for a rebound in a basketball game.

I thought Yazzie guarantee a win against Franklin? Tell "golden-boy" to watch his mouth when you line up against the boys from Frank-town. Nick Gordon, JD Jervis, Ramsey Sellars, and Cole Nathan read that propaganda, and forced a few more rounds into their all-ready fully loaded clip.

Welcome to Region-6, it is games like that which allow us to say whatever we want about anybody and everybody in region-5.

Defensive & Disciplined Team??? Really??? what a joke, defensive teams do not allow 44 points.

Good work Franklin, Andrew, Texas, JD, Timmy, Isiah, Connor, Mark, Nick, Jonny, Joseph, Daniel, Stephen...Oh you guys now who I am talking about. That was why we did every 2-minute drill, every jelly-belly, every single fun-time. 2 more weeks and I am home, give me a game to watch at Franklin.

THEY SAY WE WALK AROUND LIKE WE GOT AN "F" ON OUR CHEST

WE BE THE FRANK-TOWN REBELS AIN'T NO TESTING THE BEST

  7. Every team on its quest to a championship needs for atleast one game, their leader to take over the game and march the team down the field and execute to get the win. i believe for Brandon Hall this could be that defining moment for the Commandos against an extremely good Franklin Rebel team. If he just focuses and keeps his head up during a hardship in the game (interception, fumble, 3 and outs) he will be just fine. i think this will be the game that brandon can show what he is truly made of. the school, parents, fans, and WAR TEAM are behind him and the rest of the Commandos all the way.friday night is going to be crazy! Paul Decker Memorial Field will be rocking.good luck and safe travel franklin hope to see a great game between the region giants. COME ON COMMANDOS ONE MORE GAME GET IT DONE!!!!

  8. if the commandos want to be successful against a very good secondary from ravenwood, they will need to find the usual yazzie but also stockwell and the big man pennington.look for kevin Stevens and joe townsend to have BIG games.ravenwood is top notch and hville will have to play the best football they have this season in order to have a chance to get the win

  9. this one for me is hard to predict. both teams have similar records and both teams seem to be playing pretty consistent soccer on the most part. its gonna come down to who wants it more and i think only one goal will be scored considering both defences are pretty stout.

  10. First off I would like to start by saying hats off to Beech's baseball team for having a great season and good luck in the district 9AAA championship. Now that I have got that out of the way, Ive been to several high school sporting events in my time and what I saw last night was the most classless thing Ive ever seen. In leftfield they have a aprox.25 ft tall chain link fence that students sit behind and watch the game while sitting in the bed of there trucks, I like the idea I really do its different and and makes for a neat high school atmosphere if the kids wana honk thier horns or rev up thier engines when a fellow classmate of their hits a dinger or makes a great play Hey! I'm all for that thats cool but please stop it there. What was happening last night was disturbing they were yelling obseen remarks to the outfielder calling him names threatening him telling him "see you after the game" I mean when does it stop? Finally our Centerfielder goes over there then Coach Williams comes out now the people from Beech instead of admitting that the kids are wrong want to say and I quote "tell your outfielder to pay attention to the game and not the kids outside the fence" or " coach dont complain because your team is not any good" How about this get the kids off the hilll they were wrong stop ignoring it this is a disgrace to high school athletics. I'll tell you this right now you guys have a great team with a chance to go far but I believe there is a way to act when you win and way to act when you lose Guess What Beech fans there is not much difference in either one of them take it from a team thats knows how it feels to be put out early in the district tournement and a team that has won a state championship.

    this is typical beech. RED...NECK

  11. well obviously jp2 is better, because they take the best players from hendersonville, not to mention station camp, gallatin, beech, pretty much all sumner county. why shouldn't they be undefeated.

    wrong /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

  12. the core of JPII's team is a group of those old fever boys from back in the day..i believe most of them are juniors or sophomores. either way, if they are this good this year, things are definately looking up for JPII. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  13. shelbyville has only played two ranked opponents according to eurosportscoreboard. Riverdale and Hendersonville. They tied Riverdale 1-1 and lost to Hendersonville 4-1 yet both Hendersonville and Riverdale are 3 and 6 places behind them, respectively. also, dickson co. beat shellbyville 1-0 earlier in the year. other than that this week's ranking is great.

  14. not overrated.. just not up to par. period. but i wouldn't call either of the teams that played tonight state champ contenders.

    BHS 2

    HHS 1

gallatin is sure looking stout this year as well. one question, how many times has gallatin gotten out of region and gone to state? just wondering /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" also brentwood and hville jp2 and father ryan are the top teams in the mistate right now even though hville and father ryan have had some embarassing losses...

  15. a 2 man system actually benefits the school that not necessarily the favorite...that and money are the reasons why smaller and not as good schools have 2 ref system...and small bumpy fields /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

  16. Well Joey Walker and Michelle McLeod from Hendersonville must be mentioned here.. Walker was clocked at a showcase this past weekend at over 105 mph... while Mcleod is just a physical specimen in the womens tennis world..

Agreed, the Hendersonville tennis squad is solid with Joey Walker playing like serena williams and michelle mcleod playing like john mcenroe. Also dont forget their star player, Angel Rosser. This girl is going places, maybe Wimbeldon.
