Well tonight half of the seeds will be set. Rd 3 for the Toppers and Vikings. This is the most important one. Any thoughts on who wins this one? I m going to go out on a limb and say Volunteer pulls the upset tonight. Based on what i read and heard DB might have put everything out there the other night. Give me some kool-aid

Did not get to go last but from what i have read there were some really good games last night. So now we have our 8 teams SH TH DB and Volunteer vs Jeff Co. Cher. Sey. and Sevier Co. Looking at these 8 would say each group has a week link but still could beat anyone on an off night. This should be one of the more competitive regions in recent years, there is no clear cut favorite IMO.

Some big games that will impact the region brackets tonight. What do you all think? D1 has SH vs Vol. and then THS vs DB. The first matchup is a no brainer but the second is a tossup but has a huge impact when looking at the region. D2 has some really good games. They make me wish i did not have to work tonight cause i think i would go! MW vs SC and ME vs Sey.

WOW what a game at Central. A ton of fouls were called. Those girls were going at it! You could tell that was a post season game. I thought the game was over when Ashley went out, but VOlunteer pulled it out. I will take some of that Vol-aid now. Should be a good two games wednesday night. What is the word from the IMAC people?

I think the 5 and 6 seeds have a good chance of moving into the region. South Plays DB tuff all the time and I think Volunteer won at Central this year. Hope to see some of you at the DB game tonight. Any word on Campbell? If she cant go then DB will win. They may win anyways but South is tuff for DB.

I would agree. No one said she was a nonfactor in big games. Just not at the TH high game against SH. She was one of the reasons they beat SH at SH. You must be her parent or AAU coach. Dont get your feathers ruffled. No one said she is not player of the year. We are just stating that "they" dont give it to the best person sometimes. I do think there are others more deserving of the award than her is all. I did see in the paper where some teams have 3 or 4 people scoring 9 or more points per game which makes PPG hard to figure in.

Well the TH people will pick TH of course. You say look at stats. What did Burleson or Mitchell do at TH against SH? Burleson did not get her points till the end and Mitchell was a nonfactor. Copney blew up DB both times they played and had solid games both times against TH. As for the COY you would pick a someone who has college players? They are seniors so they should have offers. SH will have at least 5 maybe 6 by the time they are seniors. So to do more with underclassmen is way more impressive than with a "seasoned" time IMO. Last year i think Devine got it and I dont think she deserved it so i am not sure what people are looking for. So who knows!

Anyone have any thoughts as to the 8 teams that will make our region this year? I woudl say Science Hill, Tenn. High, South, and DB from D1 and Jeff County, Mo. West, Seymour, and Cherokee from D2. My picks for D1 might change depending on the opening matchups if we ever get to find out.

I would have to give my vote for player of the year to Enjelica Reid or Shy Copney. They have led SHHS to back to back regular season titles. All conference could go to just about anyone. SH-Hensley, Goodman, Copney, Reid TH-Burleson, Mitchell, Easterling DB-Gray Osborne, SC-Kesner -SS Campbell Fletcher Vol.- Linholm Boone- their shooter, not sure of her name, DC- Shipley Coach of the Year i would give it to Barnwell or Myers. He has taken Volunteer to #5 almost #4 in the league this year. As for Underlassman Tarter! That kid is special. Does anyone know the seeding for the tournament. I saw today it looked like 1 SH or TH 2 TN or SH 3 DB 4 Central 5 Vol. or South 6. South or Vol. 7. Boone 8. Crockett

Well it is looking more like SHHS and THS will be tied. Who will get the #1 seed if they are tied? There is HUGE difference in being 2nd and 1st. The semi final game would be Volunteer, South or Central. That is a big differnece than playing DB. I just cant believe that South is not winning more than they are. Cant wait to see how are teams fair against IMAC though.

Well tomorrow night is the showdown for the regular season. I really would like to know how the IMAC stands up with our top 2 or 3. As for the bottom of league it really is a toss up. 4-7 have a losing record in conference which I am not sure if I have ever heard.

Tomorrow Night will say a lot about the top tier of the conference. I wonder how SH will handle TN pressure? In the Dis. Last year they turned it over a lot in the 2nd half. As for the leaders changing this year, who would you consider the leaders. Last year hensley was the leader but did not score against Tn in the final meeting. Since main pieces are still there why would the leader role change? Moving on, Who does DB have? They looked impressive with the win over East.

I would agree. Lets not talk of gold ball till tourney time. Its WAY to early for that. I would agree that SH has not beat a great team yet. I think they have South who ruled in middle school, TN and DB. Has anyone seen or heard from pancon?

Falcon sounds like a person who is against the Volunteer Program. Their kid probably got cut or is jealous of the Lindholm kid. I just wonder how all the teams are doing since the thread is quite. Anyone know about DB and TN High? SH looks much the same as last year so far from the two game I have seen. I did hear that TN High is having some internal problems with not happy kids. Any truth to the rumor?

From what i have been and seen from the players on the floor ...TN , SHHS, Eliz, Old Unicoi, Boone, Greenville, Chambers when at Unaka...are all good examples of coaches who put the best on the floor. Sounds to me like Comp is just made at the South coach and this is a way to take another shot. Anyone can win with cherry picking talent.

WOW last night was a good time. Most games seemed to be haves against have nots but South was impressive. They might be the dark-horse of the conference. Surprised all the South people are singing praises.

I wonder why people come on here and just talk out there rear end. Falcon you really have no idea what you are talking about and we will leave it at that. fYes you have a good player but you do not have a great team. Clearly there is something in the water over there. It will be good to see people tonight at the Jamboree.

I would like to watch some scrimmages so please post. I know there are play days set for Nov. 6th cause of other treads. Do any Big 8 teams going to play in any?

Tonight's games should very good. The first game will be slow and the second- hold on to your hats. Should be very fast paced. What do you think about tonight? I will take Central in a nail biter and then Science Hill in a very close one.

Big Night tomorrow. Should go a long way in determining the seeding for the tournament. Any predictions. Science Hill over Central to close the conference race. I see Tenn. High winning at home. Do they still have a chance to win the conference or does DB for that matter?

So who will be the top 4 seeds in tournament? Can anything be decided before next Tues?
