mrbigster, not taking anything away from LC accomplishments 2 seasons ago and yes I know they had a lot of Covid issues that negatively impacted their season last year and yes they will be a good team this season. But there is no need in playing this game on a Thursday night, I've yet to see a LC team fill up their little stadium and people in the area don't think it will be that great of a game, But we'll bring mosquito spray for sure... Tennessee Top 100 site is so biased toward the Falcons it's almost comical to see what they'll come up with, he's a "Homeboy". Peabody by at least 5 scores with a running clock in week 3...

Change of subject but I would love to see Henry County/Peabody. Would be a good West Tennessee match-up.
Are you getting turf at HC this summer? Wasn't that supposed to have happened if it hasn't already?

McKenzie will return 11 players on offense that had significant playing time and all 11 started at one point in the season.
On defense, we will return 6. We will hurt on defense losing Barnett, Lyles, Boaz, Christian, and Surber. I hope we get back a couple of going to be juniors who did not play this year but contributed alot as Freshman.
Our schedule concerns me. Huntingdon, Chester Co, South Fulton, Obion, Perry Co, West Carroll, Dresden, Gleason, Bruceton, and McEwen. We are top heavy and sort of hit the Hostess factory on the end.
That's a terrible schedule, tough game in Week 1 but creampuffs the rest of the way..

I think the school itself has a Dyer address
Yes, but it is in the Trenton zone.. TSSD zone begins at Griers Chapel Rd. going south.

Yeah and they don’t allow the Trenton addresses that are in front of and next door to them attend their school.
Seems like that is a pretty nice chunk of change we get from them in school district taxes, unless there was a different arrangement made. and that I do not know

I know if you try to transfer to Peabody and play sports you will be told you need a trenton address.
you want to hear something funny ? Gibson county is right down the road like maybe 4-6 miles. There are addresses near the school like on the same road and if you live there your kids have to go to Trenton.
The entire campus of GCHS is in TSSD boundary..

Isn't Alcoa enrollment in the 2A range but they play up to 3A? Word in the coaching circles in the East has been that Alcoa played up to 3A in this past 4 year cycle so they wouldn't have to compete against Peabody and Union City for a title.... May be hearsay, but that's the word ive heard...

I think one thing that will hurt is one year of no actual games. I think it takes them half a season or a full season to get things rolling good enough to complete with the better teams.
Agree completely.

I agree with the things being said about the top teams returning in W. Tennessee.
But the one unknown, Memphis. I think Freedom Prep would have been a deep run in this years playoffs and a lot of the West latter rounds will depend on the movement of kids and coaches in Shelby Metro.

Look dude I don’t know what your problem is. I will continue to say it y’all were the better team. We lost to the better team. What do you need to hear? Most of the Peabody posters are really cool people but for some reason because I think Milan was a different team at the end of the season you take offense to that and want to take personal shots at me and be disrespectful. Not cool bro. I will continue to say it YALL WERE THE BETTER TEAM!!!! Maybe at some point when you get off your period and your breast aren’t sore anymore you’ll realize BPM is trying to be really cool with me and give my team all the credit in the world and maybe just maybe at that point you stop being a clown and chill.
Job well done my good and faithful son. For several consecutive posts now you have not referenced or insinuated that the Dawgs would beat Peabody if we would have played later. Everyone knows Milan is a better team now than week 1 as is Peabody. But your insinuations in every post you made about sounded like excuses.... I assure you I was rooting for your Dawgs to bring home the Gold and I will pull for them in any game they play unless it is against the Tide.... Best wishes on a new recruiting haul but keep that attorney on retainer in case the questions start coming in again, TSSAA hates attorney involvement.
I own Roy Dillards owner.

What you said made no sense. Sorry.
okay, i'll simplify it for you.
"For what it's worth", not much. Not putting a sock in it, you may own Roy Dillard but you dont own me, And for what it"s worth, in every post you make about Peabody beating those Dawgs in week 1 but it's a different team now, that sounds exactly like what a moron would say in a newspaper, (your words not mine)
-
1 minute ago, BIGPURPLEMACHINE said:
And for what is worth the paper only quoted what the former coach said. Obviously the former coach was a moron. There’s a reason he is the ex coach.
ehh, not much........no socks here, I aint Roy Dillard

What Alcoa saw was how a 2A school dominated a 3A school no matter the time of the year. Schemes get better as teams get used to new systems but line play is equal at beginning of season. Peabody has beaten Milan year after year and all we hear is we got Milan at the right time. Milan put 56 points on us in the 1st game in 15 or 16. 1st game I said..............
I saw Alcoa use some things that worked for Trenton. Why wouldn't they. That was the only loss for Milan.
Did our staff not get them a schedule when the contract was signed? You'd think they knew which week we played them and could prepare and at least have BPM get them on his buses headed that way in time to prepare.... Geez, last year their paper said, and I paraphrase, If we played them in Week 3 we would have beat them......
Next year's contracts are signed and the date is set, set your alarms so you can start preparation on time.... but remember, not TOO early...

I agree that Peabody should be ranked d ahead. Although the Milan team that Peabody beat week 1 was nothing close to the Milan team at the end of the season. However with nothing other than the head to head to go by they should be ahead.
Why you gotta try and qualify your statement with a statement about it being a different Milan team now.... We beat them when we played them, thats all any of us have to go on..... Our young talent has a lot more experience in Week 15 than they did in Week 1...... Peabody was the better team this year, again....

The crazy thing about the loss to the private school in the 90’s is that Peabody beat them regular season. The ncs is a sore one I won’t even get in to that one. Goodpasture was what 2007-8 ? Kendal Harper was qb right ?
correct

Trenton would have 5 w/o private schools lol
Lost title game to a private in the 90s, lost semifinal games to Goodpasture and NCS, coulda been more than 5 looking at that aspect

Little things but things none the less.... Peabody has for years had the team, cheerleaders, and band sing/play the alma mater at the conclusion of games, (which is awesome) and now Milan began doing that this season.... Peabody has also made their entry into the stadium to AC/DC Thunderstruck for several years, them Dawgs did that this season...... BUNCH OF WANNABEES!!!!!!! lol
-
Y'all shoulda punched in Peabody instead of Gibson Co. for directions, Siri had y'all believing all week you were playing the Pioneers again.... TideRolls
Was that clock running or no...

Good luck and best wishes to the Dawgs tonight from your friends that "smacked you around pretty good" Your coaches words on the radio this morning not mine...

The bad news for LC is that it will be a long but happy ride home for the Fayetteville folks, the good news for you is you've still got that DQ to soothe the pains of losing....
Prove me wrong, I hope you do, I'm pulling for you but if the F'ville fans ain't gonna yank your chains then somebody else has to.... Looking forward to seeing y'all next season and I think it's early enough in the season that we can reunite with those Bald Eagle sized mosquitos y'all got over there....
-
Resourceful sort......... Let's just say if they wanna eat before the ride home, they'll be able to catch Majestic before they close the curtains...

Part of the brother recruiting haul they went after in the off-season, BPM forgot about that tho or didn't know, lost some credibility by trying to pass that off. lol
