Unfortunately Dou has been under the weather this fall and hasn't been able to make many of the road games this year. He is a huge supporter and bleeds black and gold. If he could be there he would. That's for sure.  I have always heard about the GREAT atmosphere at Henry County and I am eager to get to experience it first hand. Should be an extremely cold night for football. Reminds me of the playoff game in 2007 in 2nd round vs White Station. It was so cold that the lens of the camera froze over. Thank goodness for the pot of hot chocolate we had in the press box. It was a true life saver. As I said in an earlier post, Our Trojans are going to have to play mistake free football and cause a mistake or two from Henry County in order to get the win. Otherwise, I see It as a 24-13 win for the Home team. Hope I am wrong. If we had our starting RB, Henry County would be in real trouble. He adds a dimension to our team that we truly miss.

If it aint in the 38116 yo Black and Gold faker than a Wooden Nickle... Point blank period, Henry Co. will likely beat you guys in the second half as they actually have a QB that can throw the ball more than 15 yards downfield, UNLIKE Lawrence Co... As good as your QB is, to you, he's not all the way healthy, so you say. With that being the case, Henry Co will likely be one TD better, why??? Because Millington is NOT as good as you think... I hope you guys enjoy those moth balls and are ready for Basketball Season...

As usual you make me laugh. You know as well as I do who is the true BLACK and GOLD. Millington is always the team you want to play and beat however , I think the last time we met when it counted you got your butts handed to you. All in fun still love you senator even when you have no clue.

So, all and all, Millington has to play slightly above their head and Henry Co. has to be looking ahead to Ridgeway for the Trojans to win, right? I think that about sums things up...

Without injuries, I think that we would have split the games with MBA and Liberty worst case. Quite possible winning both games.  With that being said, Injuries are part of the game of football and Championship caliber teams find ways to win no matter the injury situation.  In my humble opinion, My Millington Trojans will have to play extremely well and the Henry County team will have to make mistakes for us to come away with the W.  We are limited offensively with Eldon only at about 60% and without the play making ability of Keno at RB.  Stranger things have happened!. We had a team with 3 future NFL players lose in the first round of the playoffs one year. So, the best team doesn't always win. The crowd that we bring will not likely be large- But it will be Loud and is most definitely extremely loyal. Though very close to Memphis, We still fashion our self with our own "Millington" identity. You will see that Identity and "PRIDE" on Friday Night.  We are MILLINGTON!

I agree Rob, you always know what you are talking about. It will be tough for our TROJANS on the road against a Power House like H.C.. However " WE ARE MILLINGTON" good luck TROJANS!

I note that with only one exception, Millington lost to teams with winning records and beat teams with losing records. What would you say the record would be had there been no injuries to the QB and to #44?

You may not SEE where this changes things but I do. Getting your starting QB back who has started since his freshman year, and now he is a junior is HUGE for Millington. The starter went out mid-season. Millington wouldn't have beat LC without him. Millington wouldn't be playing this Friday if it were not for his return. Henry County is still the favorite, with or without the returning QB, but now they (Millington) will be able to compete and have a fighting chance. He's a BIG part of their success. Otherwise, we would have been talking about a Henry County vs Lawrence County game.

I would add that with our starters we would have won district and not be travelling , Injuries hurt us.

Fresh Market Restaurant is about a half mile past the Quality Inn on the right. If you are looking for Chinese, try Hong Kong Restaurant next to Mc Donalds. Good Mexican is El Vallarta about a 1/2 mile past Hong Kong. If you don't want to go to a restaurant, just walk up to any tailgate at the stadium. I can assure you, you will not be turned away. Enjoy your stay & GO BIG RED!!!

He looks impressive. Patriot fans, the Millington QB is a 3rd year starting JUNIOR. You just read that correctly. He's not only tough as nails ... he's smart and he's poised. He's as good, if not better then Ridgeway's QB. I don't think he gets rattled.
