  1. Millington did NOT let it be known that they got their main QB back.... Very sly and shrewd of the Trojan fans on CoachT... LOL...

With them not having Freshmen at those primary ball handling positions they should be a tough out for Henry Co.

Thing is I don't think they are better than Ridgeway but you Patriots will soon find out.

Henry Co. should win a close, low scoring game up there in Paris.

  2. I really wish I could make this trip. I have spent a lot of time in Henry County and know you guys are passionate about your team. Trojan fans that can go should there are great places to stay and eat in Paris. Henry County has a great tradition of great football and fans. Should be awesome. Can you guys give some ideas to us Millington folks on places to stay and eat?

  3. Ok, so you saying Ridgeway has been to the Semifinals where they LOST to a Team WEST of the Tenn... So my MAIN point still exist they have yet to beat a Great/Good Team West of the Tenn River to make it to the Promise land...  :geek:

I think what he said was Sutton is a good Coach. I agree he is. Senator you will never give credit to anyone but the Haven. It is ok I understand.

  4. Dou-  I wish that I could go with  my heart like you and pick our Trojans this week. But, my head tells me that MBA could be touch much on the offensive and defensive fronts.  If Keno is healthy and can play, we have a fighting chance as he is the missing link that we did NOT have last year when we played them at their place. Since playing in the playoff game last year as a freshman, He has averaged nearly 150 yards per game and is rarely stopped for no gain. He is quick and does a great job of running behind his pads. Though he isn't a speed demon, he is a smart runner and a nice compliment to our QB Eldon Tyms. Having the threat of a running game makes Eldon and the passing game that much more lethal. He hasn't had the "breakout" passing game yet this year. This would be be a great game to do it in. MBA has a number of players both upper and underclassmen that are being recruited by SEC level schools. It's the ideal time for some of our Trojans to stand up and get noticed. It could put somebody on the map of college recruiters. With Patrick Macon's size and nose for the football, If he plays well on Friday he has a shot to really do well for himself. I am frankly shocked that he isn't already being recruited heavily at the d-1 level.Outside of Joshua McMillian, I am not sure there is a better LB in the Memphis area that Patrick Macon. He is averaging right at 10 tackles per game this year including a couple of sacks and interceptions.

Great rundown ,hopefully Keno is ok. I will always go with my heart on Millington though.

  5. Not sure if anyone has heard about the Millington vs Bartlett game yet..... Before I step onto my soap box, I want to preface my statements by saying that I have always respected HS Officials and the work that they put in. 99 times out of 100 they are giving their all in an unbiased fashion. However, The Millington vs Bartlett game was that 1 time out of 100 that an one official was not fair and had personal feelings against one side.  Millington had a total of 225 penalty yards in their 30-7 victory over Bartlett. Does anyone out there realize how hard that is to overcome? 225 penalty yards? The terrible thing about it is, the official and possible officials turned a blind eye to extremely questionable play by bartlett defenders that ultimately caused two injuries to Millington players.

The Bartlett coaching staff finally called the game with a little over 1 minute left. Coach McFerran did a great job in waving the white flag, If he did not, someone was going to end up getting seriously hurt. The Millington players were over frustrated with the play of the Bartlett defenders and a huge brawl seemed imminent if the Coaches didn't step in. The officials, who should have been in control, did nothing to prevent the potential chaos from happening. Many of the 225 penalty yards against Millington were flags thrown well after the play was over and often times were not explainable even when the coaching staff asked for clarification. Millington head football coach Chris Michael was thrown out of the game in the fourth quarter for getting on the officials for not calling a personal foul on an obvious spearing penalty that resulted in QB being knocked out of the game.  Another questionable hit earlier in the game resulted in starting running back Keno Taylor being hurt and lost for the remainder of the game. His status for this week and for the rest of the year is up in the air. No penalty was called on this play. The TSSAA should step in and suspend the entire officiating crew and fire the one official that made the game personal.

    WELL stated.

  6. Coach Sutton has built quite the program there at Ridgeway. Good to see these young me have a chance to play at next level. Speaking of the next level, Roland Genesey, former Millington RB, is having a break-out season at Glendale, Arizona Community College and is receiving a lot of interest from PAC 10 schools. In his most recent game, He rushed for 173 yards on 27 carries and 1 Td, and had 5 receptions for 47 yards and another TD.  Having taken care of his business in the classroom, He will be eligible to transfer to a D-1 school in January and go through spring practice where he will have 2 years of eligibility remaining.

    Great News!
