ok to all farragut fans yeh farragut has a great team but you dont have to go aroud running your mouth about it, who cares if they dont like the cheers or take shots at the school? What does that have to do with the game. Let the admirals do there business on the field friday night and then see what they have to say. We've seen others complain AFTER farragut has beaten them, with wb's band incident and ooltewah trying to say andre was trying to fight them or sayin our band kids were flicking them off, and most recently people complaining about our cheers that are apparently so degrading??? Let them be petty after the game and try to find stupid excuses and blame other things for their loss, theres no need to go back and forth about nonsense that have nothing to do with the game. ALso to DB fans the cheer wont be quite so loud to you because you're on the other side of the field. Just let it all be settled in less than a day's time on the football field then everyone can see who really is the best. Show them our admirals have class and dont spend all day bickering on a stupid website.

Wow----I just heard DB has decided to go ahead and forfeit---all the sports experts have not given them a chance and the Farragut folks seem to be unanimous in their belief this won't be a game. So, I guess the DB players have decided to just save the time and maybe stay out of the cold. This may also save them the embarrassment of trying to stop Tony Dorse... er I mean Sterling and the 5 or 600 yards he is certain to rush for. Oh well, there's always next year I suppose.

You sould read more of what other people post rather than just ramble on about senseless things. NO WHERE on this thread will you find me ranting and raving how great DB is or how the other team should even bother to show up, so I will not see any need to remove my foot from my mouth. Bearden and William Blount have more class in thier smallest toe than you will ever possess!

first off, roger you need to change your username bc you havent played in two years and you were #51 for almost 5 months. but for the game if farragut can limit the penalties that have hurt them at times on offense, then they should be productive. the key is on the defense, if they can play with the intensity that they showed against OR or like they did for the first halfs of the Ooltewah and WB games, then they can shut down the DB attack. i fully expect the admirals to win this game but i know it will be a tough ballgame

I believe what braves4life was trying to say earlier when he mentioned baseball is that DB is all talk until they play the big game, in which they lose... that is mostly in baseball though, but heck the last 2 seasons they got beat at their place to a 4 seed in football..... And only good at baseball? What is that supposed to mean? Farragut has been good at soccer too.. Back to the game...

 

If DB were to bring their whole band, it would fill up the visitors section, haha there would be no need to bring anyone else.. and btw DBs band can be quite loud.. I hope it doesn't rain on Friday like it is tonight.. That wouldn't be fun. And for whoever can answer this, how many people does Farragut's stadium hold? Seeeee ya'll on Friday... can you DB posters hold up signs saying your username on here so I can come visit?

Are you kidding me? If we get into the levels of academics of these two schools, it is not even close. Farragut has long been one of the best if not the best public school in the state. Two years ago we were rated 36th in the country by redbook magazine. Insulted if enrolled at DB? How do you even know if he is enrolled at Farragut. Please, don't give me that crap b/c someone made a grammar mistake on a message board.

If DB brings the whole marching band, then they will be a very loud bunch. The band alone is 380+. Even without the band, they travel very well and will show up in full effect.

this kid is on crack. really, chris sensabaugh, most dominant in east tennessee? you have got to be kidding me. that is the dumbest thing i have seen written on this board in a long time. this game will be the Andre Sterling show and farragut will shut the freshman down just like they did to Stephans at oak ridge.

Well said Braves4life. i am sick of hearing how some freshmen is going to show andre' sterling how to run the ball. I cant wait for DB players, fans, and coaches alike are shown how the admirals work. we not only have an amazing running game our passing is good too. so i am fed up with hearing how our fans chant the wrong things, and also how we are going to get Shown up by some freshmen. sounds like to me their star running back is all they have.

Very well said ktownman. As a Farragut fan and close friend of the players, I can safely say it doesn't bother any of the other players. The cheer is just recognizing how good we think he is. Anytime a player for Farragut makes a good play, we cheer and yell for them. This year we have had plenty of other players that we have made cheers for. We know this is not a one man team. It is just a simple cheer.... Just let it go.

onehighlander it sounds like to me DB fans need to stop worring aboout the cheers of Farragut and worry about the admirals throwing down on DB

What about the 10 other guys on the team? How sportsmanlike is it when you single out one person when there are 10 others on the field with him, plus probably 60+ who have been to every practice, every scrimmage, and every game?

I guess you dont go to the farragut games we support all of are players no matter what it just andre is are boy and we like everyone to know it

I just watched the highlight of #31 scoring the first TD against Oak Rdige where it appeared the OR defender was going to drag him down by the jersey and he pops out and reverses field and scores. I love it. DB is playing the under dog role. Likewise, DB's schedule has helped them develop and realize they can play with region 2 (by that I mean William Blount, Oak Ridge, and Tennessee High, by no means did Elizabethton help anybody except Sensabaugh). If you can recall, in the William Blount game Garner got his, in the Bearden game Works got his, in the Oak Ridge games Stephens got his, results? Against William Blount, DB fumbles a punt late when down 17-14, William Blount runs clock and punches in a touchdown late to seal the deal. Against Bearden, play to 0-0 tie and go to overtime, in overtime a botched PAT try and gutsy run by the Bulldogs quarterback scores the win for Bearden. Against Oak Ridge the first time, DB fumbles late when tied 7-7 and lost 14-7 late, Oak Ridge in the second game, DB won the turnovers battle and scored the big play and held on long enough on D to get the win 21-14. Lesson? Though the back may bow it will not break. EAch of the big rushers in those four games got theres, but the game was stilled there for the taking. The goal is not to stop him (Sterling), the goal is to contain him (and by contain, I use the term lightly). Sterling will get his, just don't let him dominate the game.

 

This Indians squad plays with heart, I'll take the guys and the coaching staff and put then up against against anybody in the state. They may not win every game, but at the end of the day you will say 'that was a good TEAM'. Let them talk, Farragut doesn't know much about the Indians tradition. 700 wins don't come from winning the games your expected to win and losing the games your expected to lose, 700 wins come from winning the big ones too. If you want to mention the DB choking trend, save it because it does not apply to this years team. If you want to say they choked against William Blount, Bearden, and Oak Ridge it was more mistakes and the other team capitlizing on them than choking, if I recollect they were the under dog in each of those games too. DB does not deserve respect no-ofense but theyve lost to 3 teams that farragut has beaten i personally give no credit to sensabaugh he has nothing on sterling. it will be a good game but farragut will drop the anchor with a big W once again.
