The Warren County freashman traveled to Riverdale last night and came home winners a good defense and overall team play got them the win . Casey Locke had about 24 pts Hunter Danels had 3 threes Mitchel McCorkle and Jacob Reagan had 5 assits a piece. This team whole sees the court well and gets the ball to the open man lots of fun to watch Coach Smith did a good job of having the right people in the game at the right time Congrats on coming home from the Boro with the W. GOOD LUCK VARSITY tonight at COFFEE COUNTY

MTSU signee Icelyn Elie, a 6-1 forward hailing from Lebanon High School in Lebanon, Tenn., saw action with the Tennessee Elite AAU program. She averaged 17 points and 7.5 rebounds as a junior. She also has been tabbed as a top unknown recruit after displaying her athletic ability on the perimeter and in the post. Her athletic ability stretches beyond the hardwood, as she was an all-state performer in the pentathlon during track & field season.
"She is going to be someone who people will be talking about for a very long time. If you look at some of her statistics one of the more impressive things is how well she has done in the pentathlon. She can do just about anything. She can rebound, guard the post and play the perimeter. She has great lateral speed and can rip the basketball off the boards. Everything about her game excited us and we felt very fortunate to sign her as well as the other four players."

Missy Donaldson is the only player from Shelbyville who has had much success coaching that I can think of . She won the State at Coffee Co. before going to Smyrna.
Great Example of Missy Donaldson as a winning head coach. Add to that Tiffany Woosley, whose experience at the AAU level has been exceptional. Misty Lamb Thompson is one that has been a good assistant from that program as well.
-
She will have to hit the ground running and make sure the current Middle School Graduates and their parents make their way to LHS. could have been easier if they were still in school.
You're in the Kool-Aid again, and still don't know what flavor it is.
Last day of school
Wilson County Schools: May 31
Lebanon Schools: May 23

You are kidding...right? It would be like watching Bob Knight coach a middle school team. It would be ugly to watch.
Alas....is it the alter ego speaking out.
-
NOPE...Almost all knowing about Smith Co.which includes G-ville.
NOPE again. Look back....I put my 2 cents in a long time ago...talking about Bob,Wiggle,Mark and R Scudders. So I knew it was about 8A..Not SC or Maynord. Truth of the matter is ..I may know as much about the Big Blue and kids that go to G-ville as you do...
Bozo button......... I smell a Bozo button coming on.

Anyone know who the lead candidates might be?
Coach King from Lynchburg.
Lynchburg must be a qualification to coach at Smyrna
-
No specualtion on why she left.
Greener pastures perhaps... Riverdale is only the 2007 State Champs... not that it means anything.
-
Who are some of the candidates for this job? One of the assistants, Emily Blanks, is serving as the interim coach.
Bet Ruppsrunt is licking his chops.
-
also that was the best crowd i have seen at state tourney and i think i have gone atleast one day every year since 2003. i expect it to be more packed tomorrow
Totally disagree
Siegel's crowd the first two years was way better than tonight's
Not only that, but the DC/CPA game's crowd was superior to tonight's. It got loud!
Add to that the Bolivar crowds the years that they won the state, or the Giles County crowds that packed the glass house.
No comparison.

the reason Z didnt have more fouls was bc dyer was settling for threes instead of penetrating for the majority of the game
seemed more like 50/50 (in the half court, that is)
shoot one time
drive in the next
Of course DC did have numerous steals in which they went immediately to the basket and rarely drew a foul.

Does anyone else think it it weird that the CPA fans are talking about having class. I have seen many games end on tough shots and the coach go and shake the other coaches and teams hands to congratulate them. Not chase and berate the referees across the floor. Also how about the students throwing things on the floor after the game causing officials and administration to get involoved. I have a hard time talking about class when those type things take place.
agree

This is the first that I have heard that anyone questioned the 3 point shot prior to the time out. The only 3 point shot that I have heard that was questioned was the last one as time ran out when the DC player had his foot several feet over the arc.
Clarification:
Reference to the shot hit at 6.9
The 3 point shot I have referred to is the initial one that was called prior to the time out.
Reference to the shot hit at buzzer
From my vantage point it did appear to be a 3, but I was not in position to make the call from 100 ft away.

Airball, you are correct. You failed to mention the first clock issue where the clock failed to start after the 2 made free throws (add 7 to 10 seconds to Dyer County here), but you did mention the second issue. The Tennesean says it gave DC an additional 2.4 seconds you say it gave them 0.1. You also mentioned the 3 point shot that several have said that the tape shows was only a 2. Wouldn't it have been better to have solved this in OT?

Yes, OT would have been great. Bet there would have been more than one.

When you make a statement like that you lose all credibility that anything you have to say has any merit to it at all. I have seen some ridiculous statements on Coach T but that would get my all time "STUPID COMMENT" award.
but humorous none the less /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
