  1. not sure what all is going on...

as I have posted before i am basically low profile now...

all I know is what I have read here on coach t and another sports related sports board devoted solely to CC sports...

I didnt even know that th eJV scedule had been cancelled until I read it here just moments ago...

    is that really true...

where is that source coming from...

not that I doubt it I just ahd not heard about it...

hope you do find out and let us know whats going on up there, (use that low profile angle and dig it out of someone). If that coach is gone it sounds like you might need to take over again if all this unsportsmanlike conduct is going on.

BTW, meant to make it to the game with my dogs but work is so screwed up right now i haven't gotten to go to many ballgames this year. would of loved to meet ya and see that CCCHS hospitality during a dog cougar game but hearing this stuff i might not want it. but i know youd treat me well peeblee.

  2. I remember the days of old when there where 2 high schools there in LA and Jacks. If I remember correctly they where successful to an extent. So if going to 1 school broke a good thing why not go back to 2 and play in lower classification where they could compete. Has anyone thought that up there or has stubborness set in saying we know it aint gonna work so our pride will keep us from fixing it the way it should be done.

game my dogs roll bigtime (sorry peeblee) leave no question as to who's going to be number 2 in region.

  3. I am sure that someone that has almost completed high school and defeated acne is super intelligent...

lol, i like that peeblee that was funny. but back to the game, unfornuately for the cc fans the football team will win. uc is a mediocre 3a team and will not be ready for the predictable play calling by wells. we know it will be a wet game the question will be who is ready to play in the wet and keep there ball dry. if a person is interested in seeing cc win a game and celebrate like there's no tomorrow you better go see this game because it's the last one of the year.

  4. if wells is calling the shots up there still then yeah they are predictable, don't even have to scout them just use your previous tapes. it's gonna be interesting when my dogs travel to cougarville. after looking at your schedule and seeing union co. scores you guys should beat them however it is at union co. and however again you do have 2 weeks to prepare for them. so a third however is 1 more than the win total for this year it's looking like. would you agree? how's the team chemistry peeblee, missing ya man, you still doing that call in show?

  5. Nice post Peeblee. When did CCCHS open. Heritage opened in '77. I played against CCCHS during the '79, '80, '81 seasons at another school here in Blount County. We played twice up there. I am curious if anyone knows the all time records for both schools. Heritage had some good teams in the past. I think the '82 team was 10-0. That was the first year they ever beat Maryville.

not bashing just responding to info i know to be true to answer your question. ccchs has 30? seasons under there belt with 1 season of 500 or better at least 4 to 6 zero win seasons and 5 1 win seasons and 2? 4 win seasons, so i'm sure you'll find hhs with more wins.

  6. believe it or not some people do care...

as a former coach, sports writer, and play by play kind of guy, I still care...

I may not be at all teh games (or any games at times) but I still care...

CC doesnt have the proudest tradition in the world on teh gridiron but there are still many/some of us who do care...

I unlike severalvothers am not a fair weather fan!!!

ps JCAR---are you still with us???

hey peblee, i'm still around, not doing a whole lot, not hearing anything from up there in cougarville except various opinions down here. been paying attention to alcoa now that rankin has arrived in east tn in quarles backyard. that is going to be an exciting game, i'm almost tempted to fight the thousands of people to watch the game, they might ought to put it in neyland. after seeing scores and articles on area teams i'll get a grip on this season. so no negative post from me, lol. question though, does the coach's sons still play on the team and if so, is there turmoil and jealousy still there?

  7. What does "GOME" get me mean? Is that a new saying for the kids at clinton? Maybe you should try "It will take more than eleven of you to tackle me!"

lol, i haven't laughed so much until i read that signature, thanks for pointing it out, i just skipped over all that huge font and red print.

  8. I sure saw him at what he thought was the end of the game, pouting on the bench while his assistants worked the huddle. I am from West Tenn. He needs some emotional discipline. It was a clear foul!

i will agree to that it was a clear foul, but will defend a bit on the emotion and here comes my book lol. putting oneself in a coaches mind. in a bad angle from his position from the bench to the other end opposite corner. i can only see my players hand on top of the ball and the horn blows, and what a relief we are state champs 39 - 0 and the players start coming my way cheering and bench clearing off and then wham the ref comes out of nowhere (from my coaching eyes) saying theres a foul. all the pressure that just left is now back on and i am thinking i'm receiving a screw job by the officials, i was calm about the walk off the rebound, i was calm off the step out of bounds, enough is enough a disciplinarian coach (at least the ones i know) tells his players that it's his job to fight for them with the refs. so it's at that time he shows his emotions. it was smart for him to stay out of the huddle at that time because he was not thinking clearly (as most would not be) letting his assts. keep the team calm. and i also thought it was a good job by the refs for not calling any technical fouls because of the situation and the thought by hamilton that they had won (can't believe i said good job by refs).

so after that book i wrote i hope you can see how anyone can react in that manner. but did you notice he rebounded after the tip and was calm and coaching again instead of just sitting and pouting as you say. i would say he had emotional discipline. not trying to stir just saying that i'm proud of hamilton because they are a class act and represent tennessee well.

  9. that was a great game!!!! when was the last time the 3a championship went to 2 overtimes? did anyone catch the halftime interview with the hamilton coach, class act said "yes sir" a bunch of times to the reporter. i can just imagine what he expects out of his players and you could see that by there demeanor on the court. before anyone thinks i'm from hamiltion just to let you know i'm from the knoxville area and in no way affiliated with that program. just proud to see discipline instilled in players no matter how bad it got.

  10. i would post something about this game but to be quite honest there's nothing about this game that is interesting except will this be a game where the freshmen and sophmors (sp) get to play a whole lot just to get experience for next year under the lights or will this be a game that shows a lack of discipline from both sides with lots of personal fouls.

ding ding ding a bell just went off. since both teams are usually looking for their first win, could that be the reason they hate each other so bad and the games get ugly with cheap shots and personal fouls. that the players say this is the last game of the season and i don't care about the penalties and i'm graduating so what's the coach gonna do to me, punish me!!!!

sometimes coach's don't have a chance in that situation and have no recourse. hope it's a clean hard fought game but i gotta feeling it's going to get ugly in more ways than one (I pray I'm wrong on this one).

  11. not to rub salt in any wounds, just an observation from me. remember back when i brought up the freshmen boys (coachs sons) playing and mentioned that it would be bad (can't remember term i used lol), that might have been the beginning move that starts that pipeline back up. i did say see how the season played out!!!!

as far as johnson being punished for a scheduled event that the coach new about is wrong in my eyes as long as the coach said it was ok. but if the coach told him that he would be punished then the player made the choice to be punished. of course we'll never know the truth because there's 3 sides to every story (my side, your side and the truth).

finding out about the lane boy will be an interesting one won't it!!!!
