1998 was the last time all sports where very competitive

97-98 BBall went to State

96-97-98 Football made it to the seccond round and in 98 they were upset by McNairy Central. They were picked to go to the Semi to meet Melrose. 2nd in region in 96-97 and won it in 98.

Softball played for the State Championship in 97. But all of the Seniors couldnt be at the game cause of graduation

Soccer both men's and women's made it to region almost every year

Baseball had a great squad in 97, but was upset

In 1999 SHS struggled. Coach Cox had to compete against well coached 4A schools. They had a huge squad and they were experienced. at least 6 seniors started since they were freshman. Starting TB Webster was out the first 8 games and they lost a bunch of heartbreakers.

In 1999 thats when SHS started stuggling. Especially in football

I figure since alot of people think that games are won and lost on coacht like the Mount Pleasant folks. Ill give them their props when they stop playing pop warner teams. Im hoping the players can see this. It breaks my heart to see Spring Hill go through this. If you want to see and inspiring story check out the "1996 Pearl-Chlon Football Team"

Im a big supporter of Spring Hill and Ill go ahead and say what there problem is right now. Since I have to constantly read and hear what people compare about now and in the past.

There is no desire what so ever. Their are a few kids on that team who actually give a crap and their are a bunch that dont. They give up way too easy and they dont know how to play football. I say the Under Armour Superstars need to find their way out the door. Ill go ahead and put this out there also theor Defense has NO GAMEPLAN what so ever. I love the Raiders but thats how I feel.

Runningbacks you need to run hard. All of them are in slow motion

Defense you need to swarm to the ball. Instead of watching and waiting. D Cord where are you at????????DO U EVERY BLITZ

O Line you need to stop watching and hit someone every play and get in the weight room. If you miss a block miss it by 100%. #71 you should have about 20 Pancake blocks a game.

D Line too slow off the ball fire out. #8 needs to go back to DE. and just blow stuff up

WR/TE you need to be fearless and go after that football

QB Im impressed but you need to walk with your head up high, And take control of the offense and challenge your teammates and build confidence in them.

Ha yeah what happened to #6 last year started out really good looked like a hoss. Then quit to concentrate on baseball and school work. What was the baseball teams record????? and needless to say after #6 quit to concentrate on schoolwork he was walking on the track with his buddies on a game night in the same week. I guess he studied earlier that night.

Its real simple are you gonna support your school your team. Are you even a football player. have you ever played the game. I aint tring to get smart but the only way SHHS will start that winning tradition again Get the Athletes on the Field.

So, what's everyone opinion on what this team will do?

I THINK THEY WILL DO THE SAME WITH ALL THOSE PLAYERS BACK THEY WILL NEED A NEW QB, I WAS AT THE SPRING HILL/ALCOA GAME IN WEEK 0. AND THE TORNADOES ARE A VERY IMPRESSIVE TEAM. THEY HAVE A GREAT PROGRAM I SAY TOP 5 TEAMS IN THE STATE.

#1 AND #2 ARE JUST FRESHMAN BOTH LOOK OVER 225LBS AND BOTH ARE RUNNING BACKS. TO WIN THIS GAME YOU HAVE TO LOVE FOOTBALL AND THOSE COACHES GOT THOSE PLAYERS TO LOVE FOOTBALL

Veals was a hard hitting Saftey, Oliver had a good Junior year

Word is Coach Mac from Kenwood and Coach Southerland from Northeast have applied out of Clarksville. Both seem like nice guys that care about the student athletes, and both seem to be good men. What about the gentleman from Page? Is he applying? Who else are applying, and when does the interveiwing process begin?

Well if Oskins cant be the Head Coach they need to Hire him as a Strength Coach, I saw him at a YMCA and NO Joke he repped out 315lb 26 times. I talked to him and he told me that he repped out 225lb 48 times at a recent combine.

I also heard from a Cox parent that Oskins aint going back to coaching cause the Principal and AD promised to pay him at the begining of the season and they didnt come through at the end. Maybe thats why these kids cant stay consistant, the coaches keep on getting screwed over. If I was him Id take it to court, the papers, everthwhere. The man turned a 1-6 team into a 5-2 team with a Conference Championship. Not to add they averaged about 36 points a game.

I am not from any of the teams in 1A, I was part of a team that won the 3A state title when I played and I am just saying dont declare a champion b/4 the game has been played. With all the upsets in football this year we all should know that.....lol

This is an interesting game. On one hand you have Predarat's young lads and on the other hand you have Butchie's young whipper snappers. Don't both of these teams have a 1A Mr Football Finalist? I think this will be a good game between these young uns. Goodluck to both teams.

Have fun it doesnt matter who wins Mt.Daily or McKenzie, South Pitt will be waiting for you in the Boro. MTP63 its a ONE MAN show. My goodness i watched the Cascade game and Daily is not a QB its a cheap off brand copy of the Tebow offense, Call it the Skee-Lo Offense.

How bout Mt.Daily move up a class and share the same region with Lewis Co.

I know for a fact that Maryville wont dominate like they do in 5A. They wouldnt be 15-0 every year. Look at half the teams they play, It aint like that in 5A. They would make the play offs but they wouldnt dominate.
