Not bad but Richland and Cornersville are single A.

  2. Eric Hatley would be a GREAT hire! He is a student of the game, a great X and O guy, has great rapport with his players, and grew up in and played for McEwen. The kids walking the halls would be begging to come out and play for this guy!

First off its Nolen (not Nolan) As a mentor and close relative the town of McEwen is going to miss Coach Nolen. There is no one out that loved the sport of football anymore than he did. Yes you have your good years and bad especially at a single A school but nobody ever worked harder at a job than he did. He has lived and breathed the sport of football his whole life and devoted a lot of time to it. Most people don't understand how much time is put into running a program from mowing fields, washing uniforms or raising money to build a fieldhouse which I know he was very proud of. He earned a lot respect from the players he coached over the years and I know personally if it hadn't been for him I probably would have nevered played football much less coached. Yes it may have been time for him to retire but I wish the administration could have handled things a little differently. Its hard to let go of something you have done as long as he has but he is strong in his beliefs and will get through this. As far as him coaching somewhere else I don't for see that happening. I know he will be missed by all the football guys he has met over the years. Now he can go enjoy himself as a spectator on Friday nights maybe even go watch his nephew coach and the Redhawks who are just down the road. Thanks for all you have done for me and the sport of football. The town of McEwen and the players you have touched are going to miss you. :thumb:

  3. WOW! no respect but didn't expect any but its ok Shelby's teamates love her and wouldn't trade her for any other pitcher in the state and thats all that counts.Good Luck to all and by the way Mr. Tball her mom and dad do not and will not put anything on here about her so have your fun.

  4. Friend? Or "another" relative? Maybe you have several screen names? B) In any case,I would hang onto their name and number in case you need a character witness fairly soon. :thumb:

Owlhead, "wise words", it certainly is just a game. Definately not worth "selling" your soul for. ;)

  5. Stalagmite, I agree with your statement. Pointing fingers is wrong. I look in the mirror and know I am a sinner, like we all are, and praise God for Jesus! I also know I have clean hands and a pure heart, and, most importantly, so does God. I have NEVER harmed an innocent person in ANY way. In fact, the opposite. I am in the profession of healing. May I ask you a question? Do you believe in rules or a code of conduct? I am sure you do. Sometimes being a Christian is hard and unpopular. If you are never uncomfortable then you are probably not really living like one. Sometimes you have to speak up when no one else will. The TSSAA has failed this district and the whole state. You said you do not have a dog in this hunt. Maybe you would feel differently if he were and he was hunting against a lion that the owner claims to be a dog. Maybe you shouldn't judge those that have ALREADY been "thrown under the bus" by the ones you are defending. :thumb:

    Proverbs 17:15 Proverbs 24:23-25 :thumb:

WOW!!! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why she left. Somebody needs to back waaaay up and realize that it's just a ball game!!!!!! Do you really think beating a dead horse from three years ago is helping or "healing" anyone. I also read on another post where you were bashing coaches. Maybe you should start watching pro wrestling, it is just as big a fake as you are.

    No Doubt ;)

Thrown under the bus? If you are referencing ISTHATRIGHT i can assure everyone on here that he/she would not throw anyone "under the bus" if that person did not first lay down in front of it. :thumb:

Thanks behindthemask23 i told mrsknownothing i had friends out there. ;)

  7. Orangeandwhite, you don't even know who ISTHATRIGHT is? Another great performance! Bravo! Do you remember TigerHawk? I sure do. So tell me, what malicious rumors is he spreading this year? :o

WOW sorry you have such a problem with me but you know I have a lot of friends that respect the things I do and I respect them and one little immature "mrsknowsnothing" is not going to bother me because the good people in the softball world that know what we do and respect what we do way outways the people like you that don't so have fun bashing me I have thick skin and besides if you are on me then you are allowing other people to rest. :o

  8. Softballjunk, I would have to disagree with you when you say it was not the responsibility of DC in some way. How would they feel if teams in their district were breaking the rules and nobody seemed to care about how it affected them? When is it ever "okay" to stand by and watch something going on that you know is not right? Answer: NEVER :o

boy u sure do have a problem maybe u need to get out and watch a game :o

  9. ISTHATRIGHT,you are correct, MrNoitAll does know what he's talking about when it comes to softball. Unfortunately, from a few comments I have read, he doesn't appear to be as insightful when he labels one coach in particular as "good" or "one of the best". When I find out who he is I plan on enlightening him. :D I have teaching material he might find interesting. And by the way, I won't drive myself crazy figuring out who YOU are-I already know. :thumb:

thats good I have nothing to hide and always like to meet new friends. :o

  10. i feel the Cruisers need to be in this discussion and will be by the end of summer. They beat the fury, chatt force, and lady aces in one tournament. Two of those wins came without one of their better hitters and pitchers. :popcorneater:

I agree, the Cruisers will be a tough team to deal with. Although, I do have one question: Which tournament are you speaking of?

They beat the Lady Aces at the scenic city 16's in Chattanooga and the Chattanooga Force at the Murfreesboro Exposure 3-1.

  11. Isn't that cheating because Creek Wood only has 2 tapes they play fair like you are suppose to. :flower:

If you really think that Page only has two films.........hmmmm.... drinking some more of that kool-aid. I looked at three myself.

There was an assistant at Camden who coached at Page several years ago.

Face it...there are no secrets. Page D has to step up and stop the run......even force the pass.

On offense...milk the clock...which they will especially if it is close which is maddening to the fans sometimes. Hope CW runs that option and pitches quite a bit....maybe we can get some of them when they hit the ground.

I am just proud that Page is in the playoffs....we have nothing to lose......CW has high hopes and should. anything we can do now is gravy to me. Don't count on the Patriots laying down on this one.

Play hard and have fun...the pressure is ALL on Creekwood.

  12. We've been hearing all year how good "Creek wood" is from all their mommies & daddies & some what from "Mrnoitall" But I'll give him some credit cause he did see this coming! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    "quote"

    2. Creek Wood---With a record of 25-8 and a young pitchin staff this team could make it back to the state after several years away. They should want to stay away from Camden as long as possible and if they do I do believe that they will have a great chance to make it back to the state. These will be one of a few teams who will make it to the 30 win column this year.

I'm sure all the mommies & daddies at Creek Wood were feeling better that they were going to get to play the #2 team coming from 12AA especially after Camden lost 2 games in their own district tourney as well as the District title. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

But I have a feeling that while we've all been "tooten" the horn of all the "mid state team's" it's looking like some of the team's from the "West" & I'm sure from the "EAST" too have been setting back, licken their chops & just waiting to show up & shut us up! And that is exactly what has happened. Camden will play at Lexington on Wednesday night for a rematch of the District 12AA championship & I'm not sure it really matters who wins or loses that game cause it looks like it will be rough on whomever either team play's next! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> :

    /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />

My hats off to Camden they played a great game and hit the ball well and as far as from what I have seen and heard my prediction is both Camden and Lexington will make it to the Boro. If Camden hits like they did last night they will give Goodpasture all they can handle. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  13. SHOCKING!!!!!!

I can't believe that some one beat Creakwood?

At least you could spell it right Creek Wood 2 words its not hard!

Congratulations to Camden they are very good everyone in AA better beware.

  14. Nonothing,

I am not a Fairview supporter. I have no dog in this fight, but it doesn't take a noitall to recognize the ridiculousness in this situation. Coach Jackson is a good coach, but she manipulates the rules in this district in her favor and some of the other coaches allow it to go on. I have witnessed this, and I am sure others would agree. I will just ask one question and then be done with this. Do you think the field would have been playable if Creekwood was in the same situation as Fairview was this past weekend, considering it was the host team that benefitted from the cancellations? Good luck to the teams that are still playing.

You know Big Country,Catfish Hunter or howdoitknow or whoever you are there was know way to play Saturday and honestly probably shouldn't have played Friday honestly. For your info there has been hours of work put in on that field to get it playable in the past week and more today as well as over 500 dollars in sure dry and conditioner plus more today and I haven't seen to many other people volunteer to help. So quit your crying and get ready for football season where you do your best trash talking.

  15. Sounds like Fairview got a raw deal. Somebody ought to stand up to the people who propose the ridiculous formats and rules in this district. If not, then just go ahead and declare Creekwood the automatic winner in 11AA. 11AA used to have a single elimination tourney, but the perrenial favorites changed the tourney to double elimination, undoubtedly in an attempt to ensure their own advancement to the region and reduce the likelihood of upsets. Now, even though Fairview gets it done on the field, the same "powers that be" make rules and decisions that are completely unfair. Maybe I am wrong about this, but it seems like this situation could have been avoided. Need checks and balances in this district, but it seems like Coach Jackson always gets her way. Great job Fairview, almost everybody wishes you had gotten the opportunity to get it done on the field.

You know all the tournament rules were voted on prior to the tournament starting so I don't see how you can say Coach Jackson always gets her way. Everyone knew what would happen if it rained, its not a good thing the way it turned out for everyone but you can't control mother nature. The only thing I can say is if you have a problem with the way they make the rules win the regular season. Creek Wood only went 13-1 during the regular season I guess thats not good enough for some people.

  16. Perhaps you are right. Last year, a week-long tape was sent to the TSSAA of her coming and going with her mother at her house (with no sign of the father or her ever going to his house, her supposed new address). I don't know how the coach/player/parent explained that one. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

Boy some people just won't let things die will they.

  17. They practice after school, but the players that play basketball will have a full practice during the fourth period. The players come out exhausted from basketball then they have to practice or have a game. It hurts the team and the player. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

That is my point exactly they have come out of the gym exhausted and had to play a game that day. So someone tell me why a coach of another sport out of season can't have enough respect of the one in season to let the kids be 100% on GAME DAY!

  18. Wow! I thought I would get some opinions on this topic but not 4 pages in 1 day. Some very good points on here and the thing that I would like to say is as far as the travel ball. Most of these teams especially ours is that the only time they get to see the kids they play with is during the summer and its fun, they get to do things with other people they don't get to see at school everyday and enjoy themselves. Most of all THEY PLAY BECAUSE THEY WANT TO NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE MADE TO PLAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
