Giles lost two main defenders from last year so they are trying to find other guys to step up. They do have good talent, but they also lost their Coach/ Asst. Coach that had been with Giles County for the last 12 years. The new coach isnt from around here,so he is trying to figure out how to play the guys in the right positions. The key to giles having a good season is if the coach plays the right players, and when playing them , putting them in the right position. Good Luck.

I can give a little information to Dyersburg. # 9 on CA is their guy to mark. They try to use him for every play, to set them up and also finish the play. # 23 is fast and #10 is one to watch also.But #9 is the one. Good luck to the only public school left. Keeper is Freshman, he is good, but young so makes some mistakes.

Well i can say one thing about one of the Giles County Strikers, John Wong. I have been around soccer for 25 years and the skill that little guy has is unreal for only being in 10 grade. He is a small guy but he has one of the hardest shots i have seen. He uses it only when needed, i noticed he likes to place shots. The dribbling skill he has is unreal also, i have seen him do things with the ball that would amaze you. He also has a pass that is usually where it needs to be, even without looking at his teammate. It must be something when you hear coaches from other teams talking about him.

Both our team and page played a great game but the true factor of the game were the refs...
As always refs play a big part in all sports, more than most in soccer. But even if the refs made bad calls or not, Giles had the change to win giving up a 3rd goal with five mins. left in the game thats sent it into overtime. Giles also playing a man down for the last 20 mins, and both overtimes. Giles never quit but nether did page and thats why they won. Good luck to Page and CA, and also good game to Forrest. The four teams that were left in district had the chance to move on. Forrest beat Page, Giles beat CA, Ca beat Forrest,and Page beat Giles. Over all it was a great District Tour.

That is true, I know Giles expects Page will bring there best and will no way be an easy game. Giles has respect for Page knowing that they are always a competitive team.

True that Zion lost to Giles County, but them may have had an off game. Listen when the season is over, there is no telling what will happen in District play, it becomes a whole new season. I do know that Zion showed alot of class when playing Giles County, on and off the field.

Yes they should make it out of their District but like always have to meet up with three hard teams CA, Page, or Fairview. The thing with Giles County is that they have talent, but they do not play as a team like these other guys. Thats why they get beat in the harder games, like last year CA 3 to 1 win. Year before CA 4 to 3 win. Year before that Page 1 to 0 win in shootouts.

You are right about that. Giles County has some talent there, but always hurts them when they get to tourney time with the weaker teams they play in regular season. The teams they play dont compare to the team they meet up with after district. But take it from me I have been around soccer for almost 25 years and they do have a team that could go far if the right players, are put in the right postions, and keep it that way through out the whole game!!!!!!!!!! Good luck to all the public A/AA schools. You know the teams that dont go and recuit playes.

You know i think all of you should shut up the trash talking and just play the game. Its kids, and i mean kids like yall that makes this game not fun for most of the other players. If none of you have anything positve to say then dont say anything at all. This is the reason why games turn out to be a rough and always problem game. WHERE DID THE REAL GAME OF SOCCER GO????? For the kids that think there all that just wait till you play college ball. Oh thats if your good enough too!!!!!!!

Giles County got about 12 shots and Lincoln county had about 25 shots which the defenders did stop about 5 of them but that is what a defender is suppose to do. True Giles County played back but that is because they were smart enough to know that Lincolns offence was very quick. The goalie did play a great gamefor giles county ,he had about 6 great saves. Lincoln county did control the middle,and Giles county is still trying to find there Midfielders, but Giles county does have a lot of talent this year.I have been around soccer for 20 years so i know what im talking about. If they dont come together as a team they want go anywhere,but the do have the team do have a great season,depending on the coaching!!! I also thought Lincoln County had great passing game and also played good together. They should have a great season,but they have to go through some really tough AAA teams like always.
