  1. Its crazy how season after season some dedicated wrestlers who put in hours upon hours in the off-season and worked so hard during season do not reach there goal of standing on the podium of winning the tournament they so often dream of. I understand the "choke" factor comes in at state but its sad to see these wrestlers nit reach there goals especially the seniors who placed once or numerous times but just could not win that GOLD at the tournament they urned to do so much at. Year after year I have witnessed also first hand these kids break down after there matches. They drop more tears then they dropped they drop sweat all season. Some look at the sport and think why did I waste so much of my time with this sport while I could have been eating and partying like everyone else. I commend these wrestlers that even though did not reach there goal of winning a State Championship or been able to stand on the podium that they did what others could not do and stick by the sport and not quit.

  2. I know that Coach Elia is trying to find some answers. Coach Elia was in financial aid for thirty years and he understands how to run a program that is financially viable. I know that he was instrumental in helping Cambellsville get their program off the ground and in a good financial position. If you are people of prayer please be praying for coach as he meets with the president this week. I do believe that as many cards, letters and emails that can get into the hands of the president as well as trustees will help us. I would appreciate your prayers as well as I meet with the president next week. As national board chairman of FCA Wrestling I am hoping that he will see the impact of Carson Newman wrestling on the faith community as well as the wrestling community.

What is the updated current state of this issue. Lets keep this topic alive until the program becomes reinstated !!

  3. The AD needs to be retired. There too long and clearly has no interest in being effective in his job anymore.

Anybody have updated info on this issue. Does anyone have a clue if there will be at the least club wrestling. Where will all the equipment go ? Come on lets do all we can to keep this team alive.

  4. I as well have sent my concerns out to this outcome. I am extremly dissapointed in the action taken and am debating if Carson Newman is right for me any longer. I believe that we as Tennesseean supporters of wrestling can have the cut of the DII wrestling program over ruled. Lets go to great lenghts and KEEP WRESTLING STRONG IN TENNESSEE.

  5. Trying to find some open mat times for some of my wrestlers in the Nashville area. Preferably close to Antioch.

Indy runs a good open mats and practices. The open mats are truly just open to anyone who want to go at it. Probably 30-35 min drive from Antioch.

  6. Williamson County will still hold practices at Centennial High School, many high schoolers attend practice there. Chris Woods and Dani Vlad run a tough practice, and I can tell you that from experience.

Thought the practices would be canceled as well so decided not to make the trip. So can you give me times and dates for these practices would be much appreciateed.

  7. I agree 100%. Having attended a practice in Chattanooga this past weekend as part of Team Tennessee for the Dixie Duals, it became clear why they do so well each February.

Its a shame. But does anyone know of any practices being held in mid TN. Hate to see Mid TN go down like this

  8. Due to inadequate practice facilities and lack of team interest, we have decided to cancel the Dixie Duals team for Middle Tennessee. Good luck SE United at the tourney, and sorry for the inconvenience guys.

Really hate to hear this. Was really intrested in coming out to the practice today. Hate to see Middle Tenn fall short when being able to compete only if there were more cooperation and paticipation. I am still intrested in any wrestling events or practices that are available in Midd Tenn. Where and when will Best of Best practices begin. Just really need to get on the mat. Help me out her Thadd I've already gained 15lbs since season.

  9. I KNOW THAT CARSON-NEWMAN HAS ONE, LANDON HALL (3RD AT 184) IN DIV-2. HE WRESTLED AT MARYVILLE HIGH SCHOOL. IS RAYMOND DUNNING (ADAMS STSTE) IN DIV 2 OR DIV-3?

PLEASE LIST ANY OTHERS THAT YOU KNOW OF,

    THE ANIMAL

DII and high expectations at the NCAA tournament. Go Raymond !!!

  10. I hope that I am not wrong in being the first one to say anything but I want to extend my condolences and prayers to the Miller family.

I will not go into details but they have senselessly lost their mother and the family is surely going through an incredibly difficult and confusing time.

My prayers and thoughts go out to Jamie, Jackie, Jeremy, and all of the rest of the Miller family. You have all been good friends and great people. My heart is broken and stomach sick at your loss.

May the Lord help you all through this time...

    Garrett House

May God guide this through these tough times, My prayer goes out to the Millers

  11. Ok looks like a good line up so far. Do you hav an updated roster? I can't wait to see who you have and at what wieght. Looking forward to Dixie Duels. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

  12. Just wondering how the TN AAU regionals will be run this year. I understand the West region will be held at Cookville high school but was also intrested in where all the other regions would be held. Is anybody attending these tournaments as they are the qualifier for the state tournament ? Someone update me kinda clueless and rather not make the trip if its not worth the wrestling.

  13. 160 - Justin Cash

    171 - NO IDEA

189 - Michael Kennedy and Cameron Croy

    215 -

These who i would like at each weight....if you have contact with these people let them know.

  14. Dear BCB I will never forget that frezzing January day at the Father Ryan Invintational when I got the privilage of meeting you. It was right after a match of mine and a team mate of mine told me he meet Tee Boone's dad. Me in this disbelif confronted you and I'll never forget you said "Bear Cat Brown" and then right there I matched the face with the posts on coacht. I really hope you stay on the boards because your one of the few with good insights. The brackets at state were absurd at some weights. I dont think I've ever cryed myself to sleep tell after the state tournament it really hit me hard. I as well fell short of my dreams all that I worked and starved for seemed to be usless as I had placed in every tournamet expect the State the most important. It seemed as I didnt wrestle as I usually do and felt so awkward in my matches.I really thought of never even stepping on a mat again but realized how engraved the sport is in my heart. And a message to Tee that gave me insight "Dont give up on something you cant go a day without thinking about"

on a more personal note my email is ethiopianking09@hotmail.com keep in touch

  15. I had three ice creams myself. One per day. I got my third one during the finals, during the 112-pound match. And I was standing in line with Tyler Pitts, who just moments before had won the 103 championship.

Not much longer I stood behind Logan Biddy as he got his Ice Cream as well. I remeber noticing his hands were shaking the whole time in the line just shows the emotion behind the finals regardless of winning it more than once.

  16. Several highly ranked and anticipated wrestlers walked out of the McKenzie center with out any alloy hanging from there necks. Some predict it be from the "choke" factor while others claim some of the brackets were completly absurd in placing. So I'd just thought to throw out a couple of wrestlers that have worked year long and are extremly discouraged through the outcome. It is extremly tough for these seniors as I have seen the expressions on there face and the tears that roll down there face. So heres a last salute

    Chris Soboun (Antioch)

    Gary Sluder (The Nation)

    Adam Gordy (Walker Valley)

    Tee Boone (ND)

    Chase Beasly (INDY)

    Nick Johnson (MLK)

    Luis Aguliar (ELM)

    Ben Hebda (Clarksville)

    Ryan Treloar (Hend)

    Taylor Dixon (INDY)

    Quentin Robinson (HL)

These are just a few names please add to the list. These young man have worked and loved the sport and I beg of them do not let it become bitter. Cherish those years of hard work and weight cutting. And once again I congratulate the ones who have medaled. Signing out --------------- Beastin

  17. What about the Lewis vs Boone match? Two great kids,,,one great match!!! Two great dads,,,,one is the nicest guy I know,,,and the other hugs like a girl (guess whos who?) FYI: I like his hugs!
