  1. It's a Chattanooga epidemic. There are plenty of talented players in the area but nobody wins anything. Going to a game or two in the playoffs is plenty to make people happy. Do you really think the east ridge coach that had the best season I can ever remember was fired because two teens got in a little slap fight that didn't even warrant suspension? The kind of people that choose to be principals are the same kids that loved to take names on the board when the teacher stepped out. Remember those kids? They love to boss people around so a winning coach is a problem. Are there exceptions? Oh yes. There are some that are great to work with. Ask yourself this...what program is excelling...none?...who's fault is that? Like I said ..zero interest

Glad to see you can listen to what I've been saying....this is Chattanooga. ..not small town football where there is PLENTY of interest

  2. Whatever you do its important to build a program not a team. The middle school coaches should have access to varsity coaches meetings and be given whatever they ask for. The head coach of any varsity football team needs to be going to Saturday kids games in the community instead of watching TV. It's hard work to do it right

That's funny you say that.... because our middle school coach got everything he asked for.... including the high school head coaching job after filing 2 lawsuits claiming race was the reason he was passed up on the last 4 times the job was open...chances are he will probably end up taking back over the middle school job again...so good luck with that philosophy about the middle school coach

  3. I had a coach tell me two things that I believe are true and true to the problem at Central....

    1. "You can't win the Kentucky Derby racing a bunch of Jackasses."

    2. "If my Johnny and Joe's are better than your X's and O's...I will beat you"

This Goes back to the Hardships I mentioned earlier...all the stud football players some how, miraculously finds a way to go to another school...hummm THANKS HCDE. Your left with kids that are not tried and true football players but have SOME athletic ability and LITTLE football knowledge and NO HEART for the game...This has been the problem at central for years....along with every kid believes they will be a NBA Draft pick...

  4. Chat Central should be a great job, what's the deal?

HARDSHIPS!!! Players that should go there do not...IMPORTANCE!!! football is not Important to the kids that Central is LEFT with due to said hardships....nor is it important to the administration, just graduation rate ( which IS important ) until it IS important, Football is JUST SOMETHING TO DO for those kids. P.S. Braswell Will NOT get that job!

  5.

So your saying a kid can get a hardship and attend Ooltewah, but can't play sports? So, the child can't be in the band or the drama club or participate in any other extra curricular activities?

    Yeah, that makes sense.[/quote

Hey MISS glock22, go back and read my post...in all caps it says NO ATHLETICS....that is athletics that are sanctioned by TSSAA. ..no one recruits kids to EWWTEWAH for the darn drama club...it's widely known that the administration and coaches at ooltewah recruit Players to play....

  6. What are the other problems outside of the recent basketball fiasco? People say more to come... Shut down football and all men's sports... Fire everyone... What is the rest in the state missing? Sounds like the right things are happening as investigation goes on just not initially or at the speed of social media. Why is this area and school so bad besides this incident?

CHEAT CHEAT CHEAT... they recruit players in every sport...i.e 2 of the 3 perpetrators wrer there from Brainerds zone...every sport!!! ..they have about 5 guys on their baseball team that live in Central Highs Zone...and no telling how many football players out of zone there on HARDSHIPS. THE TSSAA and Especially Hamilton County needs to step on and say "sure, you can hardship to another school for your Education, BUT NO ATHLETICS FOR YOU." .....Because Ooltewah uses hardships as a Recruiting Tool..that's been known for a while. .maybe this horrific incident will open people's eyes to it

  7. Quotes from the article on Ooltewah football player arrested

"When reached for comment, Ooltewah head coach Mac Bryan said, "It's an administrative matter. I can't comment."" REALLY????????????ADMINISTRATIVE? YOU MEAN YOUR GONNA HOLD OUT HOPE THAT HE CAN STILL PLAY

"Bryan added it would be up to school administrators to determine whether Jackson would be allowed to play in Friday's Class 5A state playoffs quarterfinal home game against Rhea County."....FOR REAL?

YOU MEAN TO TELL ME A PLAYER GETS ARRESTED AND THE HEAD COACH DOESN'T DETERMINE THAT HE CAN NOT PLAY....LOOKS LIKE WINNING IS MORE IMPORTANT AT OOLTEWAH. ..YEAHHHHHH COACH...GOOD CALL..LOL

"Ooltewah High School athletic director Jesse Nayadley said a decision has not been made about any possible disciplinary action." ......REALLY, NO DECISION..ON AN ARRESTED PLAYER? LOOKS LIKE THE A.D. WAS TRYING TO GET HIM TO PLAY AGAINST RHEA CO ALSO.. But your right He Hate Me Not...the football team would never allow anything to happen like what happened to the basketball program. The importance of winning in a athletic contest looks more important to the coaches and administration of ooltewah than doing the RIGHT thing...YEAH. ooltewah,"SIMPLY THE BEST" MY ####

  8. Lets not forget 2007...

Ooltewah football players on their off week travel to Ridgeland HS for Ridgeland football game..incite a fight with RHS football players after the game....Hummmmm rigggghhhht.

And there are allegations that in 2009 a football player hit an opposing teams cheerleader breaking her jaw... This would never happen with the football team tho..... ..AND THAT WAS A DIFFERENT COACHING STAFF...looks like it's just an Ooltewah culture problem to me.. call a spade a spade

  9. The coaches and players on the football team would never allow something like this to happen. Same school but totally different atmosphere and culture and focus.

    Righhhhtttttt..ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘

he hate me not...have you forgot about the MR FOOTBALL FINALIST that Punched his GIRLFRIEND in the face....Hummmm ..sounds like assault to me...and last I checked mr football is an award for FOOTBALL!! and from what I hear that wasn't HIS 1st rodeo either..keep trying to make it sound like ooltewah is the high and mighty....Hamilton County sheriff's office was called to ooltewah around 100 times last year alone for disipline and or disturbances...looks like that 1 for every hardship transfer the have

  10. I have seen some posts mentioning the apparent ringleader is not even from Ooltewah. It is wrong regardless of where he is from but having someone from outside the community disgrace the school in such a way might lead to efforts to limit such moves.

Yes..2 of the 3 thugs were zoned for Brainerd.....101 hardship transfers in this year ALONE at ooltewah...geeze I wonder how many of those are playing athletics..hummm. little brother E. HAMILTON Has 85 this year alone...Humm hummm

  11. Boo hoo. You must be an Owl or an ex Owl..simple fact Is...they are students of the school..they represent the school, teachers, administration, AND community. That is what is going on at ooltewah, as my examples stated. must not be alot of CHARACTER EDUCATION curriculum at the school. Like i said i wouldnt want my child there..As for the ones involved, I deeply hope the young man recovers fully..and for the THUGS that committed this they SHOULD be tried as ADULTS. Not a big difference in mentality from 17 to 18...they know right from wrong

  12. Well....Central has the athletes to somewhat compete.  But....Bloodsaw runs sweep right, sweep left, up the middle.  Typical middle school/rec ball football.  Then the defensive scheme kicked in.  4-2 was what it seemed.  That leaves the short passes across the middle all day long.  Honestly if ND had not been sloppy they could have won by 50.  Its sad too because Central has some good players.

    Thus...Soddy 48

    Central.........14  (maybe)

    Be safe boys.

If central has athletes like you say, then would it not make sence to spread out the defense to create running lanes and maybe make some short passes or WR screens out wide instead of running the dang wishbone where the defense stacks 9 or 10 in the box. Carter I believe it was is who called the offense last night for the JV game and the wishbone got nothing....but they moved the ball and scored from the spread offense to win the game
