  1. Ok, guys I like a good laugh as much as the next person, but I don't think I can handle anymore amusement from SCBFAN. Heres a heads up SCBFAN most people set on theirs not talk out of it. If your not a coach and your not a parent then you must be a wanna be. It really is pointless for you to keep posting when you say something and get a reply but can't come back to the reply. Also I notice you keep saying Stevo that sounds like somthing a friend would say, but you don't seem very friendly or much like a likeable person. Your coming into a Oneida thread trying to bash their team "not smart the numbers arent in your favor". I think things will get better for this team. Nothing happens over night give it time, and some of you may be supprised at what can be salviged out this season. There is a big differance between middle school and high school ball. That doesn't mean that these coaches shouldn't be coaching at this level, but it does mean that you can't expect a miracle season in one year. I mean they aren't you know who. So give these coach's a chance and see what happens. So untill next time remember some people have one and some people are one ( I don't think I need to mention any names cough cough Sco Co Fan).

Are you happy with the coaching this year runningback? Are you satisfied that Oneida and its 6 seniors (5 that play) and 5 juniors ( 3 that regularly play) are playing up to the level they should be? Why should there be a "miracle" with that much experience in the lineup? Why can not Oneida beat someone who has a better than .500 record? I don't think you can truthfully answer that they have performed well and coached well. I think you just can't sit and look at stupid comments by "FANS" and some parents with the statements they make being half right and half borderline stupid. I just dont get the "miracle" bit----you would think Jeffers, Laxton and crew were freshman as opposed to seasoned basketball players who have played together for years and with most of them's old middle school coach. I think it is pretty clear from their coaching performance thusfar is that neither Yaden or Jeffers are "winning" high school coaches. If Oneida wants to be satisfied with expecting a "miracle" from its coaches just to beat an above average team, then we need to look elsewhere if we want to uphold "tradition" or put Basketball in line with Football. You are right runningback, they should be coaches at the high school level-- in fact anybody can qualify to be a highschool basketball coach, but is that what Oneida wants--just anybody? Why dont you just sit back and think---why aren't we beating these teams? Maybe we finish out great but hey we should be number one in the district dont you think? Oliver springs is the same team without schulz we lost abbott and orick. Why are they that much better than us? Uh COACHING Why is Wartburg beating us? Uh COACHING. Why should we suffer next season like this season? Oh I am sorry we shouldnt expect a "MIRACLE" to beat those teams. We have the best talent in the district and our bottom bench with Miller and Chambers would both start for Wartburg and one of the two would start for Oliver Springs. Any of our varsity would start for Sunbright, Oakdale, Coalfied with the exception of Watson. Now with that in mind runningback, why do we need a " miracle" to win. NO we need COACHING. I read some of these comments and if no knowing better would think that we have "great" coaching, we are a ranked team due to all the talent and coaching, and that some of Scott County are just plumb idiots. We have a good team, we have inferior coaching, and yes we do have some idiots. Now, what are we going to do about it?

  2. I sat and read all of these posts on Oneida from beginning to end. Many disgusted parents( I guess their kids do not play) and several supporting the new coach ( I guess their kids play). After having watched a few games and talking with parents, coaches, and students, I am convinced that we are in far worse shape than when Coach King and Coach Windle coached. I read comments like" give it time to put their system in". I read stuff like they need the right team oriented players in the game. Pretty much all of that is hogwash. The four games they have won was due to superior talent only. I saw two of those home wins. The remaining games they will win will also be due to that. There is no SYSTEM. Those coaches are really just not high school coaches. They remind me of arm chair quarterbacks who got their genie wish and got to be COACH and got yanked from the tv screen into the press box to call plays. Then discovered it was way much harder than it looked. My husband can complain all he wants but even he is smart enough to realize that it is harder than it looks. It is not the fans or parents fault. Do not blame the players. The coaching leadership is just not there. There is a lot of criticism of Yaden and Jeffers out in the community for stuff they have done or said. They may be fine men--they may not be-- I do not know them personally but they are not good coaches and they should go "MAN UP", RESIGN, quit embarassing themselves as former players, and go back to doing something else. Four wins with a returning team is not good and that is not even talking about all of the other chaos they have created. They can bellyache and make all the excuses they want but they are horrible as coaches. A lot of very good former ballplayers have tried to coach and failed. Ask Coach Fulmer, coaching is a results oriented business and he was a nice man and a great ambassador for the State. These coaches are not that either. For the team, I hope we win the rest of our games. It will not be due to "strategy" or some thought out "coaching" ploy, it will be because of the hearts and skills of the players. My husband always says that you can tell a good coach when his team is not very talented but they still win. That is not the case this year. Support the Indians and when the season is over contact our superintendant, principle, and board members and tell them Oneida deserves better.

  3. The B-Ball coach was at every FB game this year. I think he will be just fine with the boys. It may be the dead of winter...but you can hear them weights rattle.

Do you think "he will be just fine" considering his relations with the boys classmates. Do you think a male teacher or any teacher for that matter should tell a 16 yr. old female student, f--- you in class and kiss my a--? I am not going to mention what she said as it leads into another issue. What is your position on that? Dont you think that has led to a lot of disrespect from the team and their parents?

  4. chaos! what chaos? /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" the only thing everyone is mad about in oneida is that the parents arent getting their ways with their children.....chaos? is it chaos because coach king is not going to put up with bad attittudes and is trying to do his job? the man is a good coach and he will do watever it takes to win..watever kid it mightl be that given night..as ydkm and kaz has said coach king dont shoot free throws and turn the ball over, hes not playing defense and rebounding thats up to the kids...and why is everyone so down on coach king? the boys are still in good shape! hey they can even finish 2nd in the district...even without torrey slaven......they lost 4 starting seniors last year.... all i got to say is i hope EVERYONE pulls together and gets on the indian wagon and just pull for you school to win..NO MATTER who scores the points..GOOD LUCK

    GO BIG OR GO HOME! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

CHAOS? Where have you been this season Big Time? Are you asking us to inform you? Do you even talk to any of the students? ANOTHER "lets blame it on the parents" excuse. Big Time, those boys that played last year seemed good but they certainly were not "Big Time". The Indian wagon can still pull together for the rest of the season but "dont blame it on the parents" that lame excuse doesnt fly in Injun land.

He shouldnt put up with bad attitudes and the discipline is not consistent if there is any. You r right on there. this is one injunsquaw who would respect him more if he took care of business with the bad attitudes but be consistent. Big Time what about the stuff outside of basketball involiving class mates? Dont you think that has contributted to the attitudes ? /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" /> Just wonderin?

  5. I have always loved to read a derogatory post then see that the poster just joined. Gives soooooo much validity to their complaint.

I guess you have not been to many ball games for Oneida this year and certainly not around the school. I put the "pg" version of an "x" rated season. it is clear Kazam knows a lot about it and dances around it so I guess from reading what he wrote, he/she is near the team and may even coach at a school. I hope our boys can put the chaos behind them and win

  6. You are right I saw Coach King miss 21 free throws and I think he turned the ball over about 25 times. Man, if you can't count on your coach to make all your shots and make all the passes for you what is he good for.

The only thing you are doing is being childish and stirring the pot.

I will tell you exactly what the problem is. The problem is the parents won't let the coach do his job and the players just want to talk back and do their own thing.

You know, you shouldn't be complaining because the only district games you have lost were on a last second shot, and in triple OT, where a kid that is averging about 12 points a game scored 44!

Let the guy do his job and let everything else take care of itself.

Parents arent the problem. They dont play defense or turn the ball over or make substitutions. Some do make stupid comments but those words dont win or lose games.

I asked for opinions and it is your opinion the problem is the players and parents and not the coach. ok

  7. After last nights whooping by Cumberland Gap and the beating in Kentucky, how will our boys do the rest of the year? Coach has lost the respect of the boys due to his wrongs he did (not even going to go there as his personal life is none of my buisness). Not even mentioning the disgust of the parents. I have heard that some of the administration is talking a lot to. Will the boys respond and play like they can or fight with each other and coach? I was really feeling good about basketball after last season. Lets hear it fans what do you thinK?
