I need some help here i know that C'range has had more than two transfers. I know there was a long blonde headed girl that moved there from Wartburg it was on a prior post. These are not the only ones to move to or transfer into Clarkrange. A little help please any info anyone?

Ok let me see if i have this straight just so i didn't misinterpret your post. According to you Radhika came from OUTSIDE OF CLARKRANGE and it WAS NOT RECRUITING in your opinion. Poe came from OUTSIDE OF CLARKRANGE and it WAS NOT RECRUITING in your opinion, its just that Clarkrange had a successful program and players just wanted to come there. Now on the other hand when players do the VERY SAME THING that CLARKRANGE DOES then its considered "recruiting" to you UNLESS its CLARKRANGE then its just a successful program attracting a player. You are so full of you know what your eyes are brown! Evidently "according to you" Clarkrange has been teaching kids to BREAK THE RULES long before Jackson County had their first TRANSFER!

Has Clarkrange EVER had a girl transfer into their school to play basketball? Does anyone know the answer to this question? I dont know for sure but i thought someone had said that they had so i'm asking a valid question. Where is DEVILFANATIC? As for your opinion i could care less but i promise you this had Clarkrange won the district and defeated Jackson County twice and Coach Brown have gotten the Coach of the Year award and one of JC's players voted MVP then all heck would be breaking loose on here from the C'range fans! Anyways, congrats to the JC Lady Blue Devils on a DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP!

I don't really know Coach Brown all that well but i do respect his coaching. Whether getting coach of the year meant much to him i don't know but if you go undefeated in your district you should get it unless someone else really overachieves. This was not the case here and we all know that. Coach Rogers is one of the best high school girls coaches ever, its not like he isn't a great coach but this year his team finished second when they were picked to be co-champions. To me thats underachieving. JC beat C'range by 17 at home and it wasn't really that close, the last one up there was very close and everyone knows how hard it is to win up there. The MVP could have went to a number of girls and the one that got it was VERY deserving and i will leave it at that. As for the whining thing well if that is what i sounded like then i apologize. I in no way represent JC, just a fan of the program is all. I will say though that Options86 is a joke! Saying what they said about JC is unforgiveable in my book.

I apoligize that was not my intent. All i said was that she walks witht he ball and she does, Leonard does sometimes too. What is not being pointed out is the positive i said in that she deserved 1st team because she is a good player but there is no mention of that in his/her post is there? However i will not accept any apology from Options86 his/her comments were meant to be a slap in the face to JC.

So your true colors finally come out! i have edited my response and will be the better person in this matter. Cheap shot you just took at Coach Brown and the girls of JC though. If i was 7A Watcher i would not forgive you for that comment.

If Logan had 19 then i will say that MOST of them came from the foul line. PC did shoot free throws the whole game so i can see him getting 19 and probably 12 or 14 coming from the line. I will agree if J.Wright doesn't foul out in this game then i dont think he ever will! The radio guy said Gibson only had 1 point is that right? If so thats not alot of production out of him and he played most of the game.

First of all i said the "tall girl" didn't know her name but i said she should make first team as she is really good and i also said that i didn't say she wasn't deserving just something fishy going on. I never said anything negative so unless you're going to quote me on what i DID say keep your mouth shut! No way Rogers gets coach of the year unless the other coaches voted against Jim Brown out of jealousy. C'range and JC were voted to be co-champions prior to the start of the season. Coach Brown and the girls from JC did something no one has done in a long time and thats beat C'range at home. He went undefeated in the district! I could have seen the guy from Monterey getting it he finished third and surprised alot of teams. But not Rogers he got beat twice by his biggest rival! The girl who got MVP was deserving no doubt but i believe Leonard or Dyer was just as deserving and they were on the first place team. From all that i have been able to find out the COACHES vote on these awards so if i was a betting person i would say that RBS's coach had alot to do with both of these awards. Still whining about over losing Leonard but never mentioning his transfer that came in last year. No big deal, just gives JC more motivation to prove who is the best! I'm sure coach Brown would much rather win the District, Region and State Championship coaches award!

What? How can Lamar Rogers get coach of the year? Are you sure this is right? Coach Brown went undefeated in the district. Not saying the Phillips girl isn't deserving but something sounds very fishy to me here. Does anyone have any info?

With JC going undefeated i'm sure Coach Brown got coach of the year but who got MVP? Leonard? Dyer? Maxwell? How about 1st team anyone have that? I would say probably the girl from Monterey, Heady i think is her name and probably the tall girl from Clarkrange that walks with the ball everytime she touches it got 1st team too, who else?? Leonard got Co-mvp last year so if i had to guess it would be either her, Dyer or Maxwell with the edge going to Leonard just because she was mvp last year. Had to be one of them just not sure which one. Any info???

Sounded to me like Wright played good but didn't get alot of help. I know the Brown kid hit 2 big three's in the third quarter maybe but other than that no one from PC stood out. I know TC didn't play alot because of foul trouble, come to think of it i dont even remember him playing in the third quarter, but he might of not sure on that one. Either way he didn't make a difference it was the Jacob Wright show, which goes back to what i said earlier and that is PC is VERY average without him. Thats a huge compliment for him and he deserves it, but what does that say about the rest of PC's team? As long has he doesn't get into foul trouble i like PC's chances of repeating as District Tournament Champions but if he goes out then they will be very lucky if they don't get beat by either CC or JC.

Ok you are right one of the T's was given to a player from Clinton Co. so that would make it 49 to 25 my bad. So you are saying the foul count was even till the end? Thats not true, i would really like to know how many points PC had from the foul line i don't even remember them making a shot in the fourth quarter, maybe one by Wright? Who were the refs that would call a game like this? Were the regular ref's from this area or from Kentucky or both?? i can't imagine them being from Kentucky and Clinton Co. getting it that bad, i'm guessing they had to be from Tn. This was one of the longest games i have ever listened to i don't think it got over till after 10!

Not saying your lieing but according to the radio announcer 7 players from Clinton Co. fouled out, thats 35 fouls right there, two more with 4 fouls each that 43 fouls, two players with 2 fouls each and 1 player with 1 foul. I wrote it down just in case someone got on here and disputed it. So if i'm counting right that is 48 fouls with two technical fouls giving Clinton Co. a grand total of 50 fouls for the game. Now thats not me thats the radio so maybe just maybe it happened the way the radio said it did?

Any other place and i would have said there is no way there would have been 76 fouls called in a game but we all have to remember it was at Pickett County! If i was a betting man i would bet the farm the team from Kentucky got 50 or 60 of the fouls called against them! That is crazy does anyone have the foul count for each team? I would love to know the "official" count. We were listening to it on the radio (104.7)and the annoucer said there were 74 personal fouls called and 4 technical fouls called. PC lived at the free throw line, the starting five for Clinton County fouled out along with 2 more of their players and the radio announcer said 2 or 3 players from Pickett Co. fouling out T.C. Capps,i think maybe the Brown kid and J. Sells. Thats 9 or 10 best i can count. Not sure though, but i don't see where you are getting 12 players fouled out unless i'm missing someone from Clinton Co. The commentator on the radio said Clinton Co. was down to its last five players and two of them had 4 fouls. What happened up there? Details please!!!

You don't have to give us props but there is no need for anyone to rub anything into eachothers noses. Until JC proves they can beat Pickett when it matters then they will always be a "pretender". They beat them twice last year but not when it counted most. Clay on the other hand has proven they can beat PC when it matters. JC needs to step up and prove to everyone they "belong" by beating Clay Co. in the semi's of the district. If they do that and right now in my book its a big IF, but if they do that then it will be a great finals game i can promise you that! I also think 7A will have two teams in the finals with PC being one of them. Now after this year unless PC gets alot of help they wont be there but thats next year. Lets see what happens this year.......

NO the District tournament starts Tuesday with the 3/6 boys/girls playing, Wednesday the 4/5 girls/boys play then Thursay the 1 vs 3/6 winners and friday the 2 vs 4/5 winner. TC wasn't the difference in either of the first two games in my opinion. You can say that J. Wright is one of the best ball handlers but not Logan, he is very average. Kerley, Crowder and Birdwell are all better than Logan. Just a bit of info, should J. Wright go out with fouls then PC becomes VERY average. Let the games begin!

It was a 2 point game at JC when Kerley went out in the 4th quarter with a concussion. While i agree that your mighty PC team is just that, they can be beaten. JC is playing their best ball right now and Clay has proven they can beat PC in Celina and had them on the ropes at the so called "wheelhouse" so anything can happen. They are not without flaws. They do have the best team on paper and during the regular season proved it on the floor as Jackson County did last year going undefeated. Some of us remember (very painfully) what happened to JC in the district and region tourney. Lets not count our chickens before they hatch unless ofcourse you are sure that there is no way they can lose? If thats the case please tell the rest of us!

Helton from Cookeville should be MVP of the District

You can type in whatever you want and you guys are obviously biased because you're Siegal fans. Giving Cutter MVP over Delaney who has better stats than Cutter would be like giving Charles Woodson the Heisman over Peyton Manning. Doesn't matter what Siegal was picked, thats just speculation on everyones part, whats the bottom line? Delaney has better stats, his team won the district and beat Siegal twice. You cant argue with the facts my friends.

Pickett Co. has won the District this season now can they win the tourney or will they get upset? So far JC hasn't proved they can beat PC this year and until they do you've got to like PC's chances in that matchup, however Clay Co. has beaten PC and had PC beat in Byrdstown last week if they could have made their free throws down the stretch. The problem Clay Co. has is they haven't proven they can beat JC yet this year. Can Clarkrange pull another upset in the district semi's against this years #1 seed or does RBS beat Clarkrange in the opening game? No one is giving Monterey a chance but this is tourney time so anything can happen! Lets hear everyone's thoughts.

Don't have a dog in this hunt but Cutter can't be the MVP over Delaney. The stats are in favor of Delaney and his team not only beat Siegal twice but they also have won the district. Also you can't put two people from a 3rd place team on the first team all district. Hammonds stats don't warrant a first team vote heck if they are that good they should have won the district. Akers from Cookeville or Smith from Lebanon should get the nod before Hammonds.

You are in the thoughts and prayers of many of us here in Jackson County.

All year long it seems these two teams have been on track to win their perspective Districts (7AA, 8AA) so it would be logical to think this will be the championship game. If so how do these two teams matchup? Who does everyone think will win and why? Does any of the other teams have a chance to upset either of these two? Lets hear some thoughts and predictions its only a couple of weeks away! I say its LA 67 SC 65

Yeah you are right senator we have lost 4 boys to other schools and it really hurt our boys team. The one player was not only an MVP but he was MVP of the district, the region and 1st Team All State, talk about a killer! JC boys would have won the state with him on the team but oh well nothing we can do about that now i guess. Everyone wants to say that recruiting goes on just because kids move to a particular school but thats not necessarily the case. As a player why wouldn't you want to play on a team that could win a state championship if you could? Why wouldn't i want a college education paid for if i went to School "A" instead of getting no exposure at School "B"? Does recruiting happen during the summer months? You betcha, but its not so much a particular coach recruiting because that would be illegal more like a kid playing for a particular AAU program and really liking the coach and the other players and wanting to continue that success in high school and having a chance to compete for a championship.
