WE SHALL SEE ..GOING BE DIFFICULT FOR W/S TO WIN STATE
I know that everyone has a chance to win it all, but White Station has been playing some great basketball this year! Andre Hollins has it clicking on all cylinders right now! They have a very good front line! And with Melrose out of the tournament, which I believed would have stepped up their game and won State (I was wrong on that!), White Station has to be the front runner to win State.

You're right but by allowing students to come to dyer Co that live in other counties,they are the ones that allowed this to happen.I know of about 10 kids that still live in Lake Co and attend Dyer Co.You take away all the kids that live in Lake Co.,Crockett co.,Obion co.,Lauderdale Co and they would more than likely still be playing down.So Dyer co has no one to blame as far as moving up but themselves.As for the State Championships..Dyer Co has cost other schools a chance at State championships and now have some teams that won't schedule them.Don't think you saw Crockett Co.,Obion Central and Gibson Co and teams that they had played previously on their schedule.Don't believe these teams will play them anymore unless forced to by Dyer Co being able to move back down.Dyer Co use to play all these teams that are close to home and with gas prices the way they are,the fans are suffering by having to drive to Brighton,McNairy Cen.etc..Also use to play a couple of the smaller schools like Halls and Lake Co in some sports.Would be a close game and money game for Dyer Co but again,that will never happen either .Dyer co has made it hard on their sports programs and their fans are are going to have to play teams from their bigger district now and find other games like Liberty,Bolivar because the teams from this area aren't going to play them.
I see your point bigster, but you have to look at it like this because Dyer Co. moved up they have to play teams in the district being Brighton and Munford. And people on here say that Dyer Co. has a weak schedule in which they do play a weak schedule compared to other teams in AAA, but adding teams close to Dyer Co. like the Halls, Lake Co. (very good team for Single A), Crockett Co., Obion Central, and Gibson Co. definitely won't better their schedule it would just make it worse. So to get better for a run a the State Title Dyer Co. would need to schedule more teams or at least play in more tournaments out of state or in MEMPHIS (the cream of the crop in Tennessee AAA Boy's Basketball) not playing teams like the Crockett Co. or Gibson Co. just because it's cheaper on everyone.

I don't understand that either, and you are completely right the polls mean nothing. They are just for the fans to brag about. Melrose is #1 and they lost to an unranked White Station team, but is it crazy to write off the defending state champions with all the talent and experience they put out on the court every night?

you know what sucks? out of the Top 4 & #6, only 2 of them will go to the State Tournament. good teams, but West TN only gets 2 spots in Murfreesboro.
sure is nice to be at #2 in AAA though, after only being up there a year and a half.
Yeah that does, but look back at the last 3 State Finals Match-ups they all came out of the West.

Well I dont see how Fred was a leading scorer and John got the trophy? Can you explain that? Cant have what both ways? They DO play selfish ball and the reason JOHN was the higher scorer is because he has a higher percentage shot than Fred so in other words John can get the ball less times than Fred and still have more points because it goes in more..obviously you don't know anything about percentages either! I am tired of arguing with you too because you are STUPID!

I know alot about percentages!!!! I took Calculus and Statistics and had an "A" in both!!! Math is second nature to me!!!
Look at all the write ups about the games!!! Fred was leading scorer in many of them... Found only 1 where John had a like 21 pts and Fred had 6... and Found only 1 where Fred had 26 and John had 10... the rest were fairly even!
I want the OFFICIAL stats to solve this!!!

Ok this proves how big of an idiot you are! Just because Fred brought the ball down the court does not mean he had the most points, the ball actually has to go in the round thing (thats called the basket) and that is how you get points. If Fred was the leading scorer, why is it that John got the trophy for leading scorer? Hmm causes a little predicament doesn't it?
You can't have it both ways!!! Selfish or John was the leading scorer... take your pick??? John would have had to have the ball passed to him to be the leading scorer... "Hmm causes a little predicament doesn't it?"

Ok first of all I know what a simile is ####. Second of all YOU should go back and look at the score sheets because John Hudson was the number one scorer. The true meaning of a fan is being able to see the good and the bad of your team. You can't just say oh we are the best all of the time and nobody can beat us. Every team has its weaknesses and if you are a TRUE FAN you should be able to point them out. I love the Choctaws and I do think that they can do great IF they didn't play selfish basketball. You don't have to know everything about basketball to see that a team is playing selfish you just have to have a pair of eyes. It is easy to say they are not selfish when they are throwing it ahead for a lay-up. In the half court system they miss the open man constantly! You must be blind

John Hudson was not the #1 scorer on DC last year!!! I have many people that will agree with me and tell you that Fred was the leading scorer on DC's team last season!!! John is an incredible player and to illustrate your own point that DC was selfish last season... Does John bring the ball up the court?? NO... then how can he be the leading scorer on last season's team.... Fred had the ball most of the time and John played at the wing for the 3 point shot.... Thanks come again later!

First of all John Hudson is the leading scorer for the Choctaws not Fred Yarbrough, and he is not now and never will be a LeBron James! Fred has NO JUMPSHOT whatsoever and he cannot go left to the basket he can only go right. Tyler will be a much less capable version of Cedric under the basket. Obviously you do not watch much basketball! I mean, I love the Choctaws but let's be real for a minute, if they don't learn how to play team ball then they are going to suffer some big losses!

Where did I say Fred was going to be LeBron James?????? I said Fred was the leading scorer on the Choctaws like LeBron is the leading scorer for the Cavs (like is used as a simile, that's where you compare things using the words like or as) ... You jump to conclusions that make you sound DUMB!!!! Obviously, you know nothing about Fred Yarbrough's game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You claim to be one of the Choctaw Faithful and yet you are downing on the same boys that have brought the basketball spirit back to our great county, what's up with that???? As a part of the Choctaw Nation myself, I love the team and watching them play each chance I get. However after having the privilege to speak with some of the fans and also some of the team's players, the comments I made reflect not only my feelings but theirs also. I believe that individually these kids excel at the game of basketball they are playing right now no doubt, but looking at the next level its going to be hard for them as a team.
How in the world could the leading scorer on the team coming back be hurtful? ON ANY TEAM??? That like saying LeBron coming back to the Cavs will hurt them next season! How dumb does that sound??
Robert Hubbs was only a FRESHMAN and played great ball against some good players: Joe Jackson & Casey Prather. I agree with GC on this one with size Robert will be high major by his senior year!!!
John Hudson's job is to be a shooter and a hustler on defense that's his role! What sense would it make for Ray Allen to be a slasher instead of coming off ball screens and knocking down the 3??? Not much!!!
Cedarious's lack of size will only hurt him in one place: the next level!!!
I agree with some of the facts about the team... at times they play a little selfish, BUT when they don't play selfish they make those big runs! If they play more team ball I feel sorry for MOST teams in AAA! Dyer County will hold their own just like last season!
The only thing I see hurting DC is the lost of Cedric Janes, but Tyler Williams will be a fine replacement for Cedric Janes!

With all of their top scorers back (White, Green, Lawson, Minton and Fair) Bearden will once again be tough next year. Should win the state title.
There are a few teams out of WEST TN... that will have something to say about that! MELROSE will be tough again next year!!! Dyer County, an up and coming team that lost to a very talented White Station team losing 1 player!!!! Southwind, this team will be something over the next 3 seasons!!!!!

Shocker?!?!?! Everyone knows that the best basketball in the state comes from Memphis and that's been going on for decades!!! In last year's championship my Pharaohs lost (not on their own but due to the striped shirts) to the Spartans. Where have you been at??? I hope those refs don't take this one away from Melrose too! They outplayed them up to this point and don't need to get involved like they did Raleigh-Egypt last year. But, when White Station plays for the title they'll do anything to get them the ring.

What has Bruce Pearl proven? The inability to develop talent? To win that game? To make it past the 2nd weekend of March Madness. Haha, I would love to see Tennessee lose its upcoming recruits and a coach with only a few weeks to recruit and see where they end up at? Probably CBI. One thing Pastner has already proven is that he's a better recruiter than Pearl. The only reason Pearl wanted Chris Jones is, because he couldn't get Black, Jackson, or Crawford. Lets hope you guys don't get beat by SDSU or that Bobby Maze doesn't use a bong to hype himself.
